    Bathrooms!

Looking to spend about the same. I've totalled up the main bits to 2100 (Bath, taps, sink, toilet, shower + enclosure, drainage) from b&q. Tiles I'm thinking about 1k. with other bits and pieces, I'm budgeting for around 4k in total for all the kit. I suppose it's going to be around 6k including labour isnt it? Balls, looks like I may be fitting another bathroom suite :-( Cant justify 2k on labour!

    Bathrooms!

Trade places only seem to do normal baths and showers.....were after something a bit more up market really. We want a whirlpool/spa bath with mood lighting etc. Bath store do one that looks a bit crap - b&q do one that is supposed to be good, but their bath's are poor quality apparently.... Paul.

    Bathrooms!

Hi, Were looking for a new bathroom in our house. what do you guys think of B&Q and the bath Store? I think I'm lookinf for fitting too as I cant be bothered to do it myself this time - not enough hours in the day! If b&q and Bathstore are a no go, are there any tradesmen on here that can supply and fit in the north West/Cheshire? Cheers, Paul.
  6. Well, i'm thinking I'll do the swap anyway and then just sell it if I dont get on with it. it's worth more than my tzr anyway! Paul.
  7. When I picked my latest supra up, i'd nearly got home and the carv decided to show me who's boss by doing a tank slapper out of a junction - banging my head on the door frame!
  8. I've had a 125 for 2 years now and I'm doing my DAS at the end of the month. I've been offered an Yamaha FJ1200 swap for my TZR125. Anyone had an FJ1200? opinions? i know it's a heavy bike, but I think it's a good deal for my 125 thats only worth about £600. Cheers, Paul.
  9. Mine is insured with Lynbrook too. exactly the same price as yours :-) Paul.
  10. Shouldnt be too bad - i'm 35 with 17 years car driving experience under my belt.
  11. Hi, I may be interested next month after I've done my direct access.... Probably not a good first bike, but what the heck :-) Paul.
  12. I hate wasps! had a couple of nests in my roof. The first one, they made a nest in the roof of the bathroom and ate through the plasterboard. They decided to come out as I was sat on the john......You have never seen a man with his pants round his ankles move so quickly believe me! after I had got outside (with my pants up), I looked at the window and there were hundreds of them in the bathroom window!. burn them all I say - do they actually serve a purpose?
  13. Hi, I'm considering taking the car back to them actually. Now I've had a real close look at the paint, I'm not that happy. I dont know if you can see on the rear numper, but there is a bit of orange peel on the top of the rear bumper. Noticed some on the side skirt too and some flecks of dust in the paint. Should be perfect from professionals in my opinion. Paul.
  14. It looks good yeah. wish I'd had the bonnet done as well though - i just asked them to touch up the stone chips, but it looks a bit messy now. Might get it done at a later date or something.
  15. It was 500 inc vat. They didnt need to take the windows out as it was only the skirts, spats, front and rear bumpers that were painted, the rest was flat polished to bring it back up.
  16. Few pics I took after the paint job and then with the Stormforce cover over her :-) No pink in sight!
  17. Hi, OK, so since I got my car back from the bodyshop I've noticed quite a loud rattle/ticking when starting the car. My first thought was the starter motor as a couple of times I could hear a ticking like when your battery is flat and the starter doesnt engage properly. This sound was mixed in with the rattle though. This is only when the engine is being turned over - once started it's fine, doesnt matter if it's hot or cold - it makes the same noise when starting. Like I said I've only noticed this since it came back from the bodyshop - could be coincidence though. I wish all my stuff was un packed in my garage, I could have a look then! (Only moved 5 weeks ago) Paul.
  18. I phoned the guy at the bodyshop and he said that it should be fine to stick the cover over it. He said it's been baked for half an hour and the paint should be rock hard!
  19. Sounds like it was definately a pole cat then. Never seen one before!
  20. It had darkish fur. it was dark so hard to tell, but it looked like a black and white face.
  21. Well we were going to get some chickens......but I'm not sure now...seen foxes and all sorts. I googled stoat and weasel and it didnt look like either of them, so I'm assuming it's a pole cat or possibly a ferret that escaped? Paul.
  22. Hi, Just got my car back from the bodyshop and bought a Stormforce car cover. Only thing is on the instructions it says not to cover a car thats been painted in the last 3 months? Anyone know why this is? I wanted to keep the car fresh as it came from the shop. Bit gutted as I planned to cover it straight away! Paul.
  23. Just got the call......car is ready! The owner is driving over to pick me up now! excited!!!!
  24. Turned up yesterday will test fit it later when the car comes back from the bodyshop!
