  1. Violet & White that goes into FPC behind l/h boot panel.
  2. Didn't know you were into such thing Chris. I'll pick up the ole Dog N Bone later!
  3. Really? You don't need to call and have a dial in session with your mapper every time?
  4. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/UK-Workshop-Inner-Bearing-Puller-Set-Kit-Remover-5X-Blind-Internal-Slide-Hammer-/281632267636?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item4192975d74 I use one of these ^^^ Only a tenner and it's never let me down so far.
  5. £20 on it not lasting a month.
  6. That does indeed look chicken sh1t welded. That crank seal looks new, probably because the old one melted. I'm guessing they did this with the crank in place? If so, good luck sir.
  7. No, but I think you're the only person I know who openly admits it and then attempts it anyway. No amount of knowledge from anyone given over the internet / trumpet will automatically give you the skill required to catch that thread before it's too late. Since you've gone to the extent of getting it machined out - I think it would be foolish to not get someone experienced enough to torque the thing up. By experienced, I mean doesn't need to ask on a forum regarding torque figures on half shafted threads.
  8. I did indeed - it's been a long day already!
  9. I've only ever gone to 36lbft. Just throw the damn thing back together and stop worrying about it. As above though, on a dodgy thread, you NEED to have someone experienced tighten it, it's no good coming back on here and saying it stripped off at 26.2748573 lbft. Anyone used to working on French Sh1t is a good bet.
