You don't need back pressure...it just moves the power up or down the Rev range depending on size of the pipe.a 4stroke engine does not really need scavenging effect. I'm waiting for Chris Wilson to come and back me Up lol

I didn't say 6" would good haha This is where so many people are wrong....you don't want back pressure,back pressure is a bad thing even on NA's......it's not a 2 stroke it doesn't need to have scavenging effect to draw gasses out!!!!!! The less back pressure the better trust me.

Have to disagree buddy, the quicker you can get exhaust gasses away from the valves/cylinder head the better. 3" exhaust systems do not make you lose power on an NA

Why would 3" pipe work not be suited to NA's?

Have her a quick wash nothing special.but she sure looks good for it

If it's black smoke and poor running I would also check your ignition timing buddy.also check that the vac pipe to the map sensor is actually on there

Are you sure you have connected your hazard switch connector properly when you had your stereo out..as that would stop your indicators working! Not sure on why you've got no ignition lights though that's very odd.

They are an ignition cut system guys,ive been running one albeit on my n/a since I got it due to not having a factory Rev limit. And it's been fine. As long as you don't keep bashing it on there I don't see there being a problem. The owner of driftworks stopped selling them due to people putting them on sr20's and the rocker arms snapping!!! But that is only due to the valve layout...where as on our jz engines the cams sit directly above the valves and buckets etc so your not going to get that. Iirc they are crude cut aswell,which isn't great,but if your only using it like me,to make sure you have got a Rev limit and not over Rev you should be fine.

I would check the basics first like all earth points.they are known for having dry solder joints on that little circuit board also so you might want to check that out aswell where the oil light is etc.

I think that's for the active spoiler loom buddy.

When you turn the heater dial from hot to cold,can you here the little Motor moving the rod down in the passenger foot well?could be stuck on cold You see.

Have you tried swapping the yellow and green wires around on the bee r limiter? As that usualy makes it stall/cut out when you have the wires the wrong way round!

Really really easy on the n/a buddy...took me all of 30mins to wire in.

Me and my mrs/wife to be have just bought our first house.we got the keys in November.its our first home as we rented before, im in cheshire. We managed to get a 3bedroom semi detached house,with a drive big enough for 5-6cars,downstairs toilet aswell as up.utility room.and out the back decking and so on.managed to get a repossession and it was £107,850 . Granted we fell really really lucky...but still if you look hard enough you will get one with its own drive! It would do my box in not being able to just leave my car were I wanted to on the drive,what happens if you start doing a big job on your car and then your neighbour comes home and wants to use the drive..I would defo say find somewhere else.

I'm runing a full double Decat and 3.5" kakimoto system with a 5" tip on my na...it is incredibly loud even though it has a centre box.but it sounds ace so I'm not bothered lol.dont worry about noise too much

He hasn't said why he does not like the noise though lol,just that he doesn't want it on a Road car. With the size of your turbo and the boost your running it is going to be hard to recirc the Amount of pressure quick enough back into the system to have zero noise.

Why are you insisting its silent.Why don't you like the surge noise may I ask?

Just going to throw a spanner in the works here... I have a toms tec2 ecu fitted to my N/A and I currently have no Rev limiter at all,I was in the same boat as you,but abit worse as my car doesn't have a Rev limiter, once I'd fitted the ecu I went out for a drive and I slowly took the engine to 8.5k RPM I have ended up getting a bee R limiter and wiring that in so my Rev limit is now at 7.5k RPM! Also,I had my car on tuning developments rolling road and it still made power at 7.5-8k RPM...granted it was not increasing but it wasn't falling off like normal it was flat.and it also runs very rich about 11.1 - 10.5.1 afr from 5k rpm and upwards.
