  1. For reference i also had the slip control blinking.Test with another ecu first.I had to recap trac ecu .Even if you open unit and caps looks good there are two big ones that are mounted directly to the board that are difficult to change and that make it almost impossible to see if they have been leaking.see if they have been changed.(maybe with a different colour or not situated directly on mother board anymore)
  2. Need to change rear lower suspension arms but it Looks like they are discontinued,so i am wondering if there are any good replacement that would fit without any issues and are of good quality. Its a Road legal car so the parts should be like oem ones.
  3. Is there a thread anywhere that shows which oem supra parts that have been discontinued. If not it would have been great if people add this to a sticky thread on technical, and maybe add other good replacement parts instead.just a thought:) As i understood oem parts will be discontinued by Toyota if no one buy them within 2 years.
  4. those repair books are from 93 and 97,and all bolts does have the same Toyota partnumber thru all years and models. Bolts are massive 12mm thick.
  5. Yes i agree with you but saw this link on ma 8http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/content.php?71-Maintenance
  6. Thats strange i got nothing like that on page ma 8 in my repair manual from 93,it is the usa version
  7. looks like a hexagon flange bolt 11 to me from picture i added,do you think thats correct
  8. Hi i had my supra in for control because of clunking noise.mecanic went over all those bolts holding sub frames.followed tourqe setting from repair manual but all those rear bolts bolts on the front suspension that show 53nm was tighted at least 175nm from before.the bolts seem so big and 53 NM seems so little for holding the subframe, can this be the correct setting.repair manual is for the us model and i have a jdm car, also Numbers of bolts does not seem to add up because there is one more in the manual when counting.
  9. Hi i got a oem 2JZ Engine ECU but most of the Toyota part number label is missing, only the denso part number 175700-5991 show .Does anyone know how to find out the Toyota part number for this unit.
  10. As i understood pro efi also have a very good standalone ecm made for supra that fully control the automatic and have advaced failsafe modes.anyone tried this with automatic?
  11. Maybe but it is very important that the right caps are used since 90% is chinese fakes out there.
  12. Here is a link if needed https://m.facebook.com/pg/LScowboyLS/about/?mt_nav=1 He will answer within hours every day and they give lifetime guarantee.they use the original caps needed.
  13. Would a ecu from Aristo 2jzgte with partnumber 89661-30560 would fit.talked with a guy that said he used this in his jdm 2jzgte supra.so what could be the difference.dont know if this item is still in stock though.
  14. Hi send hi-res pictures to (Lscowboyls) watch my thread. He usally answer very fast.
  15. Yes big chance,if ecu have never been refurbished.see if you can borrow another ecu.If not i would rebuild it anyway before it is to late!
  16. Thats great,do you know the condition of your ecu.I only ask because my only consern is that a lot of them has already start leaking making them unrepairable even before symptoms starts.I got another ecu that is working for now and thinking about open it to see if it is good for remanufacturing. But i am interested, how much do you want for yours:)
  17. Found out after a long while that my engine ecu was leaking. All kind of things can happen, and there are no error codes from ecu itself. Some Symptoms is rough cold start, sudden stall now and then and if you have automatic transmision you could suddently experience hard engagement when put into drive or revers, specially when cold. These engine control modules are old now and those brown capacitors inside will soner or later start leaking and destroy the ecu making it unrepairable.I tried to buy a new unit for automatic supra but was told that dont sell them anymore. Read article for different symptoms https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-1st-and-2nd-gen-1990-2000/656360-all-my-crazy-lexus-issues-solved-ecu-leaking-capacitor.html
  18. Rough idle problem finally solved. It was one leaking cap in engine ecu Only problem now is that toyota tells me jdm automatic ecu 89661-14491is out of stock
  19. Is there any really good aftermarket stand alone ecu for original 93 jdm twin turbo. Need to be a plug and play ecu that uses all original sensors and also control the automatic transmission. And would have been perfect if it fit inside the original box like (link) but it does not support automatic.original ecu is out of stock:(
  20. Hi everyone, borrowed a sard analyse engine ecu and wondering if it is safe to try this on my car. Been used on a 93 jdm tt automatic supra just like mine.owner of ecu does not know about any modifications done.need to try another ecu because i think my ecu 89661-14490 has a fault
  21. In search for a good working engine ecu for a jdm Toyota supra automatic twin turbo 93 model with part number 89661-14490 or replacement 89661-14491.Belive mine has a fault.
  22. Looking for front Seat slip on covers in leather or leather lookalike for my 93jdm supra with textile seats, but dont seem to find any good ones. And are there any difference on the seats on jdm vs us/euro beside leather. Want to keep the oem textile if possible.
