  1. the car you're talking out does look to be fairly clean from the pics on the ad. I'd just have a good look underneath and make sure you're happy with everything. don't be afraid to get on the floor and crawl underneath check for the bonnet/bumper/wing gaps as can indicate a front ender if out of line. The ad has a good write up but if you get a bad feeling while there don't feel pressured to go through with it, they'll be more around. Make sure it's been serviced in their care / recently as it may have been sat for some time prior to them getting it
  2. Looks good like that, i've just switched back to stock wheels and must admit the big gap is hurting me.. i take it you had to do extended studs to accommodate the spacer?
  3. Looks amazing, out of curiosity what did it get on the dyno? Are there spacers on the rear wheels?
  4. Had a couple hours spare yesterday managed to get some bits done. Oil and Filter done it Took 5 ltrs so which I think is normal? Dipstick read over full but need to run the car and double check it. Diff oil changed. Need to clean up that disgusting rusty diff so that’s on the to-do list now. Replaced the spark plugs for Heat range 6 iridiums. As careful as I was the coil pack connectors still broke so SRD sending me some new ones. Also got new breather hoses. Got my new mesh for the bonnet and Aero catches fitted. Still waiting on the AC condenser so I can get the other bits finished but USA keep pushing the date back, so will try get the Auto gearbox flush done and brake fluid done while I wait. Also need to swap the wheels over. annoyingly the backup camera has started to cause a high pitch whine through the rear speaker while it’s in use, it’s unbearable so not sure really what’s caused it. I spoke to Noz about it earlier and he suggested a ferrite core so hopefully that will sort it. Feel like I’m close yet so far on it, just Hope I can get out in it this summer.
  5. How long till you regret your decision and do a full send rebuild
  6. Parked on grass is usually a sign that the underside is likely to be rather rusty unfortunately. behind the side skirts is likely to be corroded as well unfortunately. when I purchased a car that had been sitting for a while it turned out to be the starter motor. Which was an easy £40 fix with a second hand one off eBay. But the fuel could have easily gone bad and condensation may be in the tank. At the end of the day these cars don’t come around often so if you can pick it up for the right price, it’s well worth the time and effort. But if you’re looking to pay someone to do all of the work it could be costly the rear wing where it meets the door looks pushed in?? Luckily the engines on these are pretty much spot on and most stuff can be fixed.
  7. Be interested to see how bad the other side is and how it turns out
  8. So this weekend I changed the igniter, dizzy arm, ht leads and still no start. Cleaned up all the earths, triple checked the fuses and the EFI fuse was getting warm. when trying to start I noticed that I could no longer hear the fuel pump working, when it was sounding before. Went and got one from my white car when I went BPU and it fired right up. Is it possible that the fuel pump was maybe working but not with a strong enough current to actually work correctly? Either way - chuffed to bits. Now for it to sit until I get a chance to work on it again thank you to everyone for all your help, it’s honestly been so helpful
  9. Hurry up @keronget them made
  10. do they have individual display here? or are you meant to be part of a car club??
  11. If all you want is 25k then market value surely better for you. In the event of a claim there is plenty of ads higher than 25k so market value should be easy to fulfil what you need
  12. https://classic-car-valuations.com/ May be worth checking if he comes under the institute though Alot of people have used him. I know a friend of mine with NA-T has an agreed value double at what you are asking.
  13. SRD do them I believe.
  14. great work so far! It’s worrying about the rear quarters really. There’s probably thousands of supras who will need new rear quarters at some point. Maybe worth a message to the heritage team at Toyota?
  15. was going by every page other than TP to be fair. I just had a 40 minute phone call with them in which they said they'd speak to underwriters and call me back at 3 on the dot.. Still waiting for a call just had a call back with cheapest quote so far of £662 which is very competitive. Depends how easy the agreed value part will be now
  16. Think that’ll be the next step after trying a new igniter
  17. Where’s the love heart reaction when you need it
  18. Ah ok - i didn't realise you were that close! I'll see what happens at the weekend. Starting to feel confident i can sort it
  19. Portsmouth, Hampshire i have just found a wiring diagram for the earths so will also check that
  20. agree.. if i had the money i'd snap this up in an instant. Cheaper than doing all the single turbo stuff yourself too
  21. tayr

    Manual MkV

i know they've tweaked the ratio but i'm wondering how it responds to the manual box tbh. First and second gear (at least in the auto) are gone almost instantly because of the torque so will be interesting to see
  22. so this guy has the same symptoms I’ve got with his r33 which turned out to be the injector pulse ground. does the supra have the same thing? If so - anyone know where I can find it? 16 mins 45 seconds
  23. was looking at the google reviews of lancaster and they don't look that great.. obviously only hear about the bad ones but wondered if you guys are all happy with them?
  24. I might have to speak to Lancaster, Reis put their price up to me this week and I’m definitely paying too much. got comparison quotes with Elephant for £370 as opposed to 1k
  25. hmm ok - maybe it's been removed then. On the main dash panel do you still have your spoiler down button? If so i'd leave that unplugged. Other than that perhaps it's not the active lip thats causing the light?
