Yeh I did try the wd40 but might give it another go to try and loosen it up, it didn’t feel too tight but I am stronger than a 23 year old Toyota motor

Fitted the new antenna today however it doesn’t retract all the way. If I turn the ignition on and allow to come up halfway and turn the ignition off again it goes down all the way, but if I let it get all the way up to the top it doesn’t go all the way down. It stops about 6-8” up Any ideas ?? Also - is this height normal? Never had one working so seems a bit high. I’ve taken the thing apart so many times today I’ve given up for now https://vimeo.com/348051913

Nice car mate. I had the same rattle, had it checked out and it's completely normal. Same with the clunking through 1st, 2nd and 3rd. I think it's literally just the noisy gearbox these cars come with, it usually improves after a few minutes. Apparently prop play is fairly normal I also cleaned the ICV out as one of my first things - made the car idle alot smoother and i adjusted the idle so it was around 750

Hi guys i've got a rattle when pulling away slowly with the clutch and a little bit of revs, sounds like a metal pole dragging on the floor but there is nothing hanging down. any ideas on what to check? I'm trying to upload a video - car drives fine so not sure what it could be.. Manual TT6

sorry to bump an old thread - if i already have a mph converter but it doesn't do the delimit - can i fit an SLD aswell or will it interfere? Edit: I currently have the speed m8 converter . Is this a delimiter too?

Don’t want to jinx it but may have fixed the issue I was wondering whether there was an open circuit somewhere which meant it would unlock but not lock As id had the bonnet open recently with trickle charger on I thought maybe it was the bonnet sensor (the one where the alarm goes off if the bonnet opens. I sprayed a little bit of wd40 on it and pressed the sensor a few times and it seems to work every time again.

Fingers crossed it’s this mate. Weather has been absolutely pants past couple weeks so maybe it will sort itself out. I wonder where the moisture gets in from though? Seepage through the cowl area maybe? Come to think of it when I washed it the other day I did hear what I thought was a loud constant dripping sound behind the passenger wing which I hadn’t heard before. Maybe it was an electrical clicking instead.

Hi guys need a bit of advice Car won’t lock using the keyfob. Even when I put the key in the door it only locks the drivers side but not the passenger side at the same time It unlocks fine on the button but the locks don’t engage when trying to lock it Any ideas? I’d of thought if it was the module it wouldn’t unlock fine? I rang Toad thinking it might have been toad related but they said it’s not as it doesn’t work using the central locking supra key either

My understanding is that if it holds 1 bar for 3 continuous seconds it WILL hit fuel cut It is recommended to install the uprated fuel pump and cooler sparks too
