So eventually got both handles apart. My other handle didn’t have the white plastic bit but the way I cut it I can glue it back on. the dremel kit I had wouldn’t take the top of the rivit off so In the end I sanded it down then punched it out. Also having a go at tackling the headlights. Definitely not worth the hassle of doing it myself but thought I’d try. just awaiting a couple quotes back from Some body shops but once the headlights are done I’m going to take the rear quarter glass out (hopefully Saturday) and remove some other little bits

I was thinking of using an interscrew.. need to get the rivit out then I’ll see what size to buy

I’m in Hampshire mate but I wouldn’t make you do that! Really appreciate you offering though!
-
Sorry mate, think i confused you. i meant the white plastic bit itself, or do i cut the head off that one too?
-
May sound like a daft question but how do you get this out? I don’t want to break anything and the body is too big to push back through the hole.

Have you got some sort of wax oil on the rear? I’m confused by the finish on the back panel ?? Love the lights ! -
I had an underseat sub with my stock seats, i recently replaced them with recaro sr2 and bride RO rails from SRD and they are the exact same clearance.. You can raise the seat with spacers but only on the holes which are on the floor. The hole thats on the transmission tunnel obviously won't line up

thank you, i'm having fun doing it but its hard keeping track of all the bits i need to buy haha. Been looking on amayama obviously as well as others but i cant work out half the time if i need to buy the nuts bolts clips etc on top of the main items. or if it already comes with everything (if that makes sense)

The blending work on those sill is unreal! looks amazing -
So I think this is probably the most stripped down it can be, as it’s not power folding there is a giant compressed spring which I don’t think can be removed. Hopefully bodyshop can still get a good finish on them..

Thanks Izaak, thats great will attempt that today then.. I had a look at the door surround one and the gasket is riveted on which is annoying

Not much progress this weekend as been really busy but here is where I am up to.. picked up a TRD rep bonnet in need of some love. If anyone can help me find another latch for the bonnet I’d appreciate it as this only came with one. Got the mirrors and door handles off, I just need to work out wether I’m supposed to separate the top from the bottom on the mirrors or not. Also, do you remove the gaskets or keep them on and mask them off? I then mocked up the bumper and bonnet for a bit of fun. Decided I’m going to have a bit of fun with this one. Next weekend I’ll look to take off the remaining seals, and attempt to cut the rear glass out which I am dreading, so if anyone has cut and re used the rear aero glass, any tips are welcomed.

Tbh bro I’m happy if the holders just cover the holes. I just want to keep the oem holes there incase I ever change my mind, the oem holes are different shape iirc

Looking to get a BGW Sorted before the car goes to the bodyshop - looking for peoples opinions. -I like the GTC300 APR Spoiler but it's quite pricey -Same with SARD GT Spoiler -The whifbitz Carbon GT one looks good - and that's a more reasonable price. Any reviews on these or any similar ones that offer good quality/reasonable price? I quite like wavy spoiler shape if that makes sense. Are there any that bolt up using the factory holes, if not - i don't really want to fill the standard stock holes so do any of the supports cover the holes? (Hard to explain what i mean)
-
whats the fit like inside the door? If OP doesn't take them would you mind dropping me a PM with price and location. Also out of curiosity, how do they fit underneath? Or do you screw them into the sills?

300 mile round trip yesterday for an impulse buy.. still not sure on stock front with active lip or TS. So thought I’d buy a TS incase I wanted one later. already has the sidelight holes covered which saves me a job but it does need a little repair work. On the hunt for a TRD bonnet now so that should be fun

As a side note, these pearl colours.. in the event you need something re-done can the colours be matched?

So today I started off taking off the wheel arch liners, and taking the front wings off.. once I had done that I thought I’d turn my attention to take the rear badge, third brake light, aerial and wiper arm off.. Then back to the front, unplugged the washers and took the bonnet off, including the insulator. Do most people Put these back on or keep them to one side after a respray?? then it was on to tackling the headliner, what a pain in the backside.. the rear one came out fairly easy. The middle one was held in with all sorts of glue. The seals were hard to take off, in the end just basically cut them off. Do most people buy complete replacements for the sides or re-use the black and metal tray thing? Was losing Patience so employed the help of my dad.. then I proceeded to take off some of the seals around the front windscreen / door / aero earlier. A little bit of surface rust there that needs to be sorted. then the wiper cowling and front wipers came off.. that’s pretty much it as to where I’m up to at the moment. I tried to diagnose my Slip control and OD flashing but the diagnostic way showed no error codes even though half the car was apart. I tested all sensors and all came back as reading ok so back to the drawing board.. going to speak to my trimmer and see if they can change the headlining and clips to black. I don’t even want to attempted to take the clips off as they’re plastic riveted in or something.. plans for next week will be continue to diagnose the fault. Remove the rear aerotop seal, remove all the door seals, remove side mirrors and door handles, then potentially cut the rear quarter glass out which I am dreading..

Thanks mate. Tbh if I liked the kit I could have probably just had some smart repairs done and called it a day but I just think it deserves more than that! More progress coming up..
