thats great! thank you! what diff are you using?
  2. how do you explain this then.. https://makeagif.com/i/Q0hxFC
  3. my advice would be not to sell yourself short on agreed values.. i'm paying £500/year more than my next quote but i was able to get the AV i was happy with. Unfortunately we are now coming to a time when you can't really replace like for like, only relatively close
  4. @m12aak is the guy to advise you on these, hes helped a few of us get new parts now
  5. wonder how many left in the UK then..
  6. how do you find out how many were made of those?? tried finding that info but couldn't
  7. Tbh I am quite proud, I’ve stepped outside of my comfort zone. A lot of it is a lot easier than I thought but some Is also more challenging. So I forgot to post that I’d undone all the screws for the outer weather strip at the tip of the door, but it still feels very stiff. I can see it has white clips underneath that I can’t get to too easy so do I just pull harder ?? Going to check the manual too see if it says anything there.
  8. When I’m next at the unit I’ll take a photo as I can’t quite remember what it’s called but it’s really good!
  9. Thank you mate, really Enjoying the learning process too!
  10. Little progress, thanks to the guidance of some forum members I was able to get the rear quarter glass out. it only took around 3 hours combined and 2 sliced fingers. One of which I thought I’d taken clean off.. Next on the list is the miscellaneous clips etc that are still in the car, and try and finally sort this OD and slip control issues. Then make plans for the engine and gearbox removal
  11. i;ve got some stuff which literally just dissolves it. I just wanted to be sure before i started removing it and wouldnt get a good seal again. Anyway, both our out now. Second one took me about 45 mins and 2 slices through my fingers. Cheers for all the guidance, i'm sure i'll be back with more questions

No worries at all man it’s all helpful info
  13. Thanks mate, as the car is getting resprayed should I remove the sealant from the car?
  14. Ok, so just took 2 hours to remove one. I thought I cut as best as I could but there’s a few peaks on troughs. does this look right then or have or have I fudged it? I guess level it off now nicely?
  15. Ok, thank you - were you able to re-use them? I take it you literally just re-seal them in?
  16. This was my first thought but as these windows are glued in it can make them non-reusable or something

Thats the dream set up right there but alot of ££ needed
  20. This weekend i plan to remove the rear quarter glass from my aerotop. As you can't buy these anymore i heard you could re-use them if you cut them out correctly from the inside. With that being said, i have purchased a crafting knife and some blades, and a blowtorch to heat the knife. Does anyone have any tips for me before i start? Many thanks

Thanks guys, the SRD option was my original thought as their work is good and obviously being UK based it makes life easier. I need to speak to Lee, I think from memory I was under the impression their stage 3 box handles around 600hp but I don’t want to be always on the limit wondering if it’s going to go bang soon if that makes sense. I just don’t think I’d get the enjoyment from it if that was the case, but obviously as Chris says he’s running lots more power with no issues so you’d like to think it can take a beating. It’s all still very new to me, so definitely need to do my research. the ATF one does look really decent and according to their site the stage 2 box can hold up to 650whp which is impressive for around 2k plus shipping fees, my concern would be should their be an issue it’s a hard thing to try and resolve when so far away. I would assume none of these boxes come with a guarantee of any sorts which does make things a little more though provoking. In regards to the diff, would you be able to run stock diff until it goes bang and switch out for the Ginken or would it destroy something that’s needed to house the ginken in the process?

Has anybody got any reviews for any built auto boxes? A340E Box I quite like the idea of staying Auto and running around 580-600hp on a small fast spooling single. The SRD Stage 3 box looks good but I wonder if anybody has gone this route and can tell me if its worth while etc.. Will the A02B Diff hold up with that sort of power?
