having just had my whole car bare metal re-sprayed by a garage. The best advice I could give would be to travel to someone who has worked on Supras before. It makes life a lot easier.. @TheTurtlesheadhas his own bodyshop and i hear his work is impeccable however he's a good 2 and a half hours from you

Don't suppose anyone has a spare NA Auto ECU i can try to see if it fixes an issue i'm having? Happy to pay beer money for the hassle and send it back. I opened the ecu up and nothing obvious showing but want to eliminate it.

if you're going to the effort of putting in the oem radio, then facelift set makes most sense otherwise whats the point
-
Thanks Mike, I did use easy start and it started once for 5 seconds then wouldn’t start again no matter how much i sprayed it. I wonder if the flap is opening or not.. I’ll check that tomorrow. I’ll check 12v on the injector connectors too. Good shout! In the meantime I’ll try find another auto ecu to try, I did open both sides and it looked spotless but worth a try

Ok so, definitely spark, I checked and the plug sparks every couple of seconds or so. They are still dry though. There is fuel getting into the FPR but not sure if it’s coming out into the rail so I guess rail next to check?

Thanks Paul, that’s much nicer than the window sticker one! I’ll get one on order thank you!

Small Updates.. been so busy lately haven't had a lot of time. - Put all the boot back together and gave it a hoover. - Rear Seats now in. - Re-fitted the OEM Amp, and central locking box. - The legend that is Mark Blythe managed to find me some great condition Leather Sun visors so they replaced the tattered ones. - Passenger Seat Fitted - DAB Antenna and A Pillar/Jesus Handle fitted. The reason it's hanging down is because i noticed a small crack in the windscreen. Hoping it can be repaired, if not i didn't want to stick it down. - Drivers Side Seat Fitted - Sprayed Seat clips Matte black to match the carpet

Hi James Yeh I did do that and it was sparking so I think that’s ok.. do you know if some Immobilisers control fuel?? Scratching my head as to why it suddenly just stopped firing will also check fuel rail and fuel pressure sensor. Wonder if it’s worth looking at throttle position sensor and idle control valve but think I’m clutching at straws

Hi Guys, Looking for some advice, I’ve received some help already but looking for some more opinions on what to check next. the car is an NA Auto and ran fine. It idled high but that was it. Rolled it into the workshop, removed the carpet for dying and thought nothing of it. Went to start it after a couple weeks and nothing. It cranks but won’t fire. as far as I know the car de-mobilises as the lights come on on the dash once the unlock button pressed again. here is what I have investigated so far - does anyone have any ideas where to go next? - Checked EFI Fuses - Checked Fuel pump ecu - Checked fuel pump - checked spark plugs, they are fine and not wet - Checked igniter - checked coil lead - check diagnostic and B+ getting 12v - bridged B and P and can hear fuel pump running with ignition on - loosened off fuel filter pipe engine side and fuel is getting through from back and through the filter - opened up ECU and everything ok - checked all fuses - checked earth on both kick panel sides - checked earth to engine - checked earth to igniter - changed battery - changed fuel - used carb cleaner to start, fires for 1 second then cuts out - the loom coming into the car and ecu look in great condition So it has Air and spark but I have a feeling the fuel isn’t getting through the final bit, can anyone tell me how I can check or where to check? Ie what to loosen off etc to be able to check? Likewise if anyone can suggest anything else that’d be great ! only other thought is maybe the immobiliser on the car has a fuel shut off? But no idea what brand it is or where to find / access it to disable it or bypass it. I found a black box about 4” x 6” behind the dash but no idea what it is and can’t really unplug it IMG_5232.MOV

Thanks Ric! Worked a charm!! Another day of a lot of time gone but not a lot to show for it! Started off Resetting the airbag light, then got the car onto the ramps to replace the shock insulators that had perished on the rear. While they were off I gave them and the springs a spray. They’re only the standard shocks and springs until I save up for some nice coilovers. Whilst I was there I replaced the rear brake pads which were running a bit low. I plan to paint the callipers and clean up the lower arms are some point. Maybe when it’s a bit warmer. I then replaced the Fuel filter which a brand new one. Nothing was wrong with the old one, I just thought it would be best. On the to do list for next weekend. - Fit Aerotop under brace (the cross section one) for some reason mine only came with the standard one. - Wire up oem wing indicators (they had been swapped out for after market ones before) - Fit new exhaust hangers, for some reason the ones I have just aren’t holding in the right place - Re-install amp, rear bench seats, central locking module and both front seats. - Finish installing all the rear boot trim. - Oil service and Spark plugs

Ok mate I’ll have a look tomorrow see how easy it is to split my pre face and also see if anything else needed

Few bits done today. Amazing how fast the time goes. I spent a couple hours making the bumper fit better and now it’s great, so that was worth the time. I had planned to do some more but I had some issues with another car which needed sorting so that took a lot of my time. Got a lot to do tomorrow before the F1 First today I got the new 6.5” Focal speakers into the rear GZ boxes. Excited to try these out. Then I used Front speaker brackets I purchased from TB developments (expensive for what they are but they are really good!) and placed the new focal 4” speakers into those boxes. I then noticed my speaker covers had obviously faded over the years and turned blue so a quick spritz of black and they look brand new. As a side note - my Airbag bulb was missing from the display. I put a new one in and now it comes on, but fails to go out when I start the car. Any ideas how to reset the airbag light?? I have bought a lot of parts recently so hopefully start to get some of them on!

Might be interested in these mate. Just not sure what they’re worth lol

Bump and grind

Luckily i did.. but the sun visors are a little worse for wear. So i'm on the hunt for some black ones. It was the misc bits like the plastic trim and central light etc that i didn't even think about - so luckily got those too.
-
Thanks mate - trying to keep it as clean as possible as i go along. Changed the whole headliner to black and it's made a huge difference to the interior along with the carpet.

This weekend started to get the interior back in as the stuff is so bulky and taking up a lot of room in the storage. I hoovered and detailed the inside of the car so it’s nice and clean before the carpet goes down, ran the reversing wire nicely along the side of the car into behind the head unit. The bit that looks like rust is just staining, their were picture hooks that had got under the carpet and rusted which stained this part, without removing the sound deadening I couldn’t clean it Annoyingly one of the dash panels were marked at the body shop I’d imagine which is a shame as they were all pretty clean. I tried to clean it with Soap and water and it just took some more coating off so will leave it for now. Got a few goodies on order - also need to get some servicing parts but yet again I am awaiting a response from TCB

Cheers guys got it out today, had to lift a couple little plastic tabs at the back which allowed it to slide out
