    Is200 new whip

Hi all, so I went on a drift experience a couple weeks back and it was great fun. Booked myself in for a 1-2-1 6 hour course in sept but in the meantime bought myself this little monster as an impulse buy. it needs some tlc but it’s not too bad. 1999 Sport 6 speed manual with lsd. 87k on clock Im surprised what a great package they are out of the box. Heated seats too! Goes sideways very easily (in wet at least). Looking to use it for some proper drift days in future
  5. When I spoke to @keron he was looking to make some which replaced the air inlet part down to the front wing. Not sure how he’s getting on. Can’t speak for the actual rear wing part though
  6. I think you might have me confused with somebody else as I have gone through the PMs and checked my phone (which I also texted you on after your request) and not once was I asked for payment.. I offered to pay before collecting which you read immediately and ignored it. i also didn’t ‘have you banned’ I do not control what the mods do, nor did I request you to be banned over a £50 Airbox.
  7. He’s changed his number I’ll drop his a message
  8. So it's been a little slow just because life has got in the way but we have a little progress. Car is now back from having some touch-ups done at the bodyshop so we are full steam ahead. Put the rear trims back on. Door cars and Seals back on Wipers and Cowling back on The Weekend just gone I planned to fit a switch for the Aerial like i have on my white car. The problem is that this car has the factory amp so there is two feeds to the aerial. (i think) Which means that using the switch powered the amp on and off (which in turn made the aerial go up and down). I managed to find the separate feed to place a switch which works when pushing the button (i.e. brings it up by making it live) but when turning off the switch the aerial doesn't come down. The only way it comes down is by turning off the headunit (cuts the live feed i guess), leaving the switch in the off position and turning back on to keep it down. I wont really use the aerial anyway so i'll just leave the switch in the off position. Below (along with the switch) there is now DAB, FM, Mic, USB connection and a brand new Pioneer SPH-DA230DAB. I also wired in the reverse camera to come on when i put the car into reverse. Don't worry i cleaned up all the wires so they're nice and neat. The dash panels were in a bad way but i used water and a magic sponge on them and they cleaned up really nice. First time having a complete interior since i took it apart back in May. I have plans to get a new 3 spoke wheel with cruise (from Europe or USA) eventually. Re-trim the gear shifter and handbrake too. But right now that will do. I do also have some Pure Sport mats bought from Peter P to put in. (oh and the ashtray light was blown so i have some 286 bulbs on order) I'm really happy with how cleaning the interior up and dying the carpet, changing the headlining and visors etc has really changed the car. It feels a lot more sleek and sporty. Here is a before photo of it you can see the extent of which it's changed. I also sprayed the speaker covers black which made a big difference. Managed to wire up new Side repeaters as they were replaced with some aftermarket ones which didn't look great. Fitted and routed the washer jets. Only thing irritating me at the moment is that the seal around the windscreen at the top has dropped slightly which means it doesn't sit flush over the top line. But i think that's just me being an*l. So.. left on the to do list for the next few weeks. - Make and Fit TRD Rain Guards for the bonnet. Can't decide whether to make them out of black ABS or Carbon Fibre - Fit rear section of the wheel arch. - Fit the bonnet Aerocatches - Fit SRD 4" FMIC - Fit Gearbox Cooler (This i need to look into, as the car is currently stock i do not want the oil to not get upto correct operating temp) - Fit SRD Cooling plate - Oil & Filter Change - Spark Plug Change - Diff Oil + Filter Change - Full Transmission Flush - Fit New AC Condenser (maybe) - Brake Fluid Change - Wire up front Indicators - Fit front Bumper - Fit Front Wheel Arch and Undertray - Fit New Wheels - Polish and Ceramic Coat Facelift Headlights Then hopefully onto SRD for some bits to be done and MOT.
  9. Disappointing to message you regarding the airbox, agree to buy it and collect it and you ignore me after correspondence (for the second time) and sell elsewhere.. but hey ho.. we move on

    Aerial

Sorry to bump. today I’ve been trying to fit an aerial switch on my supra which has the amp. on the other supra it was a case of cutting the blue and putting a switch between. ive done that on this one but it makes no difference. When I re join the blues the antenna goes up but when I disconnect it, it just stays up. If I unswitch the switch and then switch it on nothing happens Originally I had it wired up to blue and white and it powered the amp on and off which led me to the solid blue wire
  11. personally after having an e92 m3 i'd avoid them. The maintenance cost is ridiculous (along with the mpg), half of them have been ragged within an inch of their life and they have common failures like rod bearings and throttle actuators which are costly. I'd go for the evo out of all of those, i don't know alot about them but it appears to still have the jap character, looks and speed. I'd say the civic fk8/2 would be a downgrade imo

    Car SOS

nice gesture to offer parts at cost and free
  13. good price.. i'll take it if its available as the one i have has broken tabs..
  14. Yep, I bought the correct GR Supra Oil (black bottle) from them. When I had the car serviced last time I printed a picture of the oil and put it on the passenger seat as I’ve heard them trying to use the generic oil for others. I don’t know if it makes a difference or if it’s just branding but thought best to be safe. I think it was 5.5 litres or maybe 6.5
  15. I haven’t used an Indy just yet but debating it. Only thing is they’re giving an extra 1 year warranty each service so it staying stock it’s not a bad idea i changed the oil myself at 1200 miles because Toyota said it didn’t need one when I asked then tried to charge me £375 out of “courtesy” for me.
  16. So - an update. Swapped the ECU in case. No difference.. Checked the fuel all the way from the tank up to the rail and it's coming out and from the return at high pressure. I did tap the injectors and now rather than just cranking, it does try to fire every 1-2 seconds but won't actually fire. Easy start has it firing for half a second. That makes me think maybe the injectors are the fault. i do have spare so going to change them this weekend and clean plugs up at same time. Why is the GE such a pain in the backside to get to the plugs/injectors
  17. Unfortunately not. I’ve tried my 3 local Toyota dealers. Only good thing is that it’s partnered with a Lexus dealership and I think they help them out sometimes with different bits. independents will look after the car better in my honest opinion
  18. My local dealers are also absolute dog sh*t absolutely clueless about the car

  20. Was discussing this the other day with another member. Never seen them before either
  21. So when clicking on amayama it brings up 12360-46070 as the 93-96 and the 12360-46111 as 96-2002
  22. following - will need a couple for mine soon. Maybe useful to put what year your car is as i think Pre-FL and FL are different. Mines a 96 Pre-VVTi and not sure which ones i'd need
  23. There’s a guy called Lee who installs them regularly (well he did a few years ago) think he goes by Mr Toad on other forums but a google might find his details . He’d be worth an ask for sure edit: just found it, will pm You
