  1. Nobody? The questions are clear enough?
  2. hi!! my saving keep incresing even if it's a hard time... i will see the light i guess this sumnmer even if i see some nice supras now that i can't afford at the moment and summer i guess will not be the best time to buy anyway,.,.. i need to import it in my country... but my country is very retarded (stupid, idiotic, non sense, bastard) on car mods and tuning but it looks like if i import a car with some mods already on it, it will pass the registration... so the issue here is.. i need two main mods on the car before exporting it from UK; rear seat removal and seatbelt removal.. it must be registred on the car "book" (don't know the exact translation) basically it must shown on the "book" that is not 4 seats but 2 seats so i will import it as a 2 seater. most important thing, having more options on tyre. so having always on the same "book" (i mean the paper where all the details of the car are registred) the tyre that i would like to fit... i would rather prefer more than one size so i can choose for severals depending on price and purpose of use. if this is possible at what cost?? if yes should be presented to the DVLA with the rims and tyre i want or i can just tell or declare to the DVLA what tyre would like to put? i'm talking about 245-30-19 front, 275 and\or 295-30-19 on the rear for example.. thank you very much every body for your precious help

    Wheels

i was starting a similar thread so i will read the link posted.. the thing is that i recently discovered that in my country is legal if the wheel comes out of the side of the car IF the tread of the tyre is inside the fender line... basically i'm talking about a tyre stretch. on the whifbitz website they said that if rolled and a bit pulled up the rear fender may contain a 295... for your opinion what "channel" would be "good" for a modest not dangerous tyre stretch? should i consider 12-13 inch channel normal fit for a 295 or should i expect a little bit of stratch already? BTW a little bit off topic... the stickiest road tyre on the market (whitch iiiiisss........???) can give the right grip to a 700hp supra or it's better the 295 thank you very much.. even if tricky of the question is clear..thankssss!!!
  4. thanks for the clue... i will look into it!
  5. what about everything else? diffuser side "splitter" ecc..?
  6. in his garage album there pictures of the interior.... looks like it left the dealer today... i'm amazed
  7. 26mpg for such a car is outstanding......... i don't know why but i would guess that with BPU mods and setting a mild boost pressure it gets better... i say so because i notice that removing cats and giving to the car a more "refined" map the mpg driving quitely is improved.. i don't know why (i'm not a supra owner yet) but i would imagine that a standard supra with bpu mods with a syvecs standalone in the hand of a very good tuner if set on roughly the standard boost would make better mpg... don't know why... a friend of mine with a citroen ds3 1.6 thp is making better mpg than oem with complete decat and straight exhaust bmc filter and FMIC and mapped by a good tuner... we still can't figure it out why... actually an other friend whitch is very famous on the supra world (pink abflug s900) who has thousand of whp, he told me that if you stay away from boost like 1500-2000 it still give increedible mpg..
  8. ooooo yesss just loving this thread and where is going... thank you for who speak about my silly idea of a dct... even if would uncontrollable by any software was nice to imagine a7 gear dual clutch supra.. i was quite surprised when i read on bimmer forum that the dct can't handle the torque above a certein value... but then on youtube a saw g-powers and other tuners superchargin some m3 with 600 to 700hp... and you can still here the dct workin (or strugling don't know) at those powers... but is not affecting my "dream" because i was just aiming at a good 500-600 tuning.. so would be spot on hahahahahah :) anyway... i guess as far as i'm reading that a boostlogic\titan built oem autobox plus whifbitz flappypaddle would a really "interesting" car..... it looks also a practical choice.. would be interesting to see in the future people like David P experience an installation with the 8 speed from lexus or the dct from BMW... :): hahahha.. you never know!!!
  9. whatta post!!! it's exactly what i was looking for to clear my mind regarding making a choice auto vs manual. (i feel funny writing AUTO because in italian AUTO is a synomin or "car" ) but here comes again the silly idiot talking BULLS**t... i would say that a Dual clutch gearbox overcome off the con (if has any) of the supra autobox... David P has done a massive job hybridizing the auto to get flappies... i can't imagine having those upgrades combined with a boostlogic\titan built... it must be fun... it must be a nightmare to made it work... so i'm just saying... syvecs can take control over the supra autobox... but is the only autobox who syvecs can take control or there are other autobox that can be "controlled?"... i bet my ass that with "some" struggle you can adapt any gearbox to the 2jz... i saw dct from m3-m6 on ebay for 2500-3000 dollars with electronics attached... so... what is missing to make a supra dct? i mean mechanically i guess the gearbox can be adapted... but as far as software is concern what are the limit? what signal must be taken from the 2jz? speed? rpm? D, P, LC... is so difficult to make the gearbox comunicate with the engine and engine ecu? if is not being done till now i guess can't be done... but i see supras with flappy paddle, supercharged, turbo charged, twincharged, dual line of injector with different tank, water injectors, titanium conrods, strokers... mechanics world look to me like a world where there is no such a thing as "can't be done".... Supra for me was born 20 years ago but is good as nowadays supercars... actually only recent supercar have broken the 600-700hp range.... Supra sometimes is missing just something to bring it to this age... a more updated gearbox look like what is missing... and dct is for me the only autobox who combine the pro of the auto with the pro of the manual with no actual cons...
  10. i need further info on gearbox swapping.... anybody know where can i start looking further? for manuals i saw people swapping the auto with a 5 speed using different bellhausing welding parts adapting plates ext... but auto to manual cut lots of hassle for the electronics.. somebody had or know who has experienced a AUTO-AUTO swap? somebody knows if the syvecs stand alone is capable of taking control only the supra auto or can manage also other brand and type of autobox? thank you all!! a lot!!! i go for the AUTO... half price.. same car... and as far as i can see here and read in other post.. with a boostlogic rebuilt it's already a rocket..
  11. i can't send even PM (i tried with David P) i guss i need the membership too :(
  12. well... the getrag 6 speed of the supra is so expensive that i guess the 6 speed from the E39 can't cost that much... still i'm actually start dreaming about a supra with 500whp with a 7g dct from bmw :):):) muhahahahahah still can't read the David P posted link, what is in it?
