Hi guys, I completed a 6speed conversion last week and ever since, I have an intermittent 6k Rev limit, particularly in 2nd and 3rd gear, sometimes it will happily Rev to 7,200 being a VVTI but sometimes it will hit the limiter at 6k? I have read that it could be spark plugs and fuel cut however I have them waiting to be fitted but other people having the same problem in that past has already had these fitted to their car. A few people mentioned doing the conversion still using the auto ecu, bypassing the park/neutral switch then it thinks it's in park/neutral all the time but then why does it only have this problem in certain gears and why is it intermittent and not constant? Any ideas?

I managed to get a second hand blitz lm kit but I'm not happy with the way it's sitting in the engine bay, the filter is attached to a long solid pipe with the MAF housing on and it's wedged between the intercooler pipe and the deck because of the lack of flexibility

Hi guys, I have a 1999 VVTI TT just done an auto/6 speed conversion so I have a few parts for sale. The car has done 62k miles. Would preferably like collection on everything especially the heavy stuff, can post the smaller stuff if needs be though I'm based in the north east. Did this issue ever get resolved? I'm in the same boat now and need to know which pins are which

I'm in the middle of a VVTI auto/6 speed conversion and there is a 3 pin sensor on the manual gearbox but only a two pin sensor on the loom that come off the autobox. I know the VVTI gets its speed signal from the ecu so I'm trying to find out which pins are ground, Earth and signal on the manual box so I can wire them to the ecu. Any help would be great

That's smart Jamesy! I'm not really going for any particular look, just want them alloys to fit. Not worried about having to roll the rear arches but would rather not mess about with the front. I should be okay if safcdixon has no problems, I'll let you guys know how I get on anyway I'll post up some pics once it's sorted Thanks for the help!

Looks like you have the magic touch GazDoran. I'm thinking getting 9.5j et30 front and back (ive read the lower the number the more they stick out) so if I go with the 30's instead they shouldn't stick out as far and ive got small spacers just incase the fronts don't clear the UK brakes

Apologies for bringing this up again ive read a million threads but can't seem to find the answers im after. I'm buying a set of rota GTR's 18" but I want the front wheels to be the same "concave-ness" as the rear. Does the offset affect the concave-ness or is it the J figure? I noticed people run 9.5J at the rear and 8.5J upfront but then the front spokes are flat. I was thinking of just running 9.5J ET12 on all four corners but then you have to take brake clearance into account and roll the arches. Any advice?

Yeah mate it's a '99 VVTI with the shite buttons haha. Ahh right, mine has a little red button with some japanese writing underneath it on the top right hand side of the black plastic trim where the auto gear lever is, looks like a missile launcher button ha, I press it though and it does nowt, no lights on the dash or anything show up. Haha aye that's the first backwards conversion ive ever heard of! I'd rather have the 6speed and no shell ha

Yeah I know what you mean like, but if I'm in manu mode I'd much rather have an actual manual! Maybe if it was a 6speed autobox instead of 4 I'd be tempted to stick with it. Where and what is O/D like? Aye av heard all the boxes are bulletproof! Mine will be up for sale shortly if you need any spares! Aswell as the prop and diff and everything else including two mint condition facelift front seats!

I suppose so like, mine insists on going into 4th gear every time I come off a round about doing like 20mph max! A prefer manual so much more, autobox takes half the fun out of driving it I'll be honest with you I've never even attempted a burnout mate I'm scared incase I break it haha
