  1. It stands for Big Green Book lol it's what we MR2 owners called it!
  2. As my original top intercooler pipe is very tired and blistered I though I'd splash out on a new OEM pipe. When I took it out of it's bag I noticed they were not even close...my original pipe is way longer. So I didn't bother trying it on as it just looks way too short and I may have to return it. But costing almost 200, I'm kinda annoyed as I don't know if they will take it back now as I had it out of it's bag... It does appear on 1993-2002 cars, P/N is on both JDM and EUR cars. Unless I'm missing something? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  3. Yeah, the BGB doesn't really say anything about this...unless I missed it. Just before installing the fan belt, the 3 lines on tensioner were over to the left of the main line (on the engine) so it's definitely a good sign and should be tensioned right. But it's good to hear what others think...with me doing this for the first time.
  4. Just finished up the timing/fan belt change. Reused the fan belt tensioner and this is how it's sitting. What do these marks actually mean? I assume it's all good as the tensioner was almost touching the PAS pulley so I had to twist it CW to get the belt on and now it's sitting around those marks so it must be tensioned correcly.
  5. the one under the dash - driver's side
  6. I have a 300 N·m torque wrench but the bolt requires around 324 N·m... Will this be enough if I also give it an extra pull past the click?
  7. Does anyone know of a place that sells these exact type in stainless steel, to preserve the OEM look? Took out a bunch today with vise grips so need to replace them as they are no use. I'd like to replace them with something that will not disintegrate after a few years. Could someone confirm the size (No) of these screws?
  8. Crank pulley, timing belt, aux belt and WP are 25K ago, just been a while.
  9. Seeing some say 'Toyota V160 Supra 6 Speed Gearbox Oil' is the only oil you should ever use in a V160. I picked up some Fuchs TITAN ATF 4400 a while back (due to availability and price of V160 oil) and just been topping it up as I've had a weep coming from my V160 ever since I got it. I plan to get it done just don't know when... I'm just having second thoughts as some mention seal swell and I really wanna minimize that if possible. FAQ mentions ATF 4400 for a 4 speed but not 6 speed...it was combined searches that kinda led me to get ATF 4400... But is it still considered perfectly save for a V160?
  10. I have access to the pulleys and the belt that came off had no wear or damage, it was done a while ago too. But the pulleys have an indented surface on the groves. Not sharp, just very tired/fretted. Anyone else running their pulleys in this condition? ?
  11. Thanks for the info, definitely wise to keep a spare. It's crazy the hoops we Supra owners have to jump thru to get stuff LOL
  12. On a side note, the condenser assy (AC rad) are they pretty much EOL just like all the piping? I still have AC in mine but the rad is crumbling.
  13. Yeah, me too, really wouldn't want to MacGyver one...thanks for confirming about the welds.
  14. Yeah, I just didn't think they'd be available still...truly shocked, f**cking awesome I need to get one ASAP then. Do these just bolt on?
  15. Just took the rad out and the frame is like a rusty relic and I poked a few holes in it too... Does anyone supply these, like Keron supplies the impact bars? Or is it just a case of making your own?
  16. One thing I don't enjoy at times is the ride, it's very harsh and clunky. Obviously it's an age/wear thing and it's soon to be 30 years old. I have not really had the chance to look and see what state the suspension components are in but I did have sticky front pistons, which contributed to poor braking. Its still not amazing and the next thing would be to look the rears. Basically I just want to know, what can improve the ride on a stock road car? I don't care about 'racing', just smooth cursing. I also don't know what a new Supra felt like but OEM must be the only option to get it back to original? Aftermarket parts tend to only make it stiffer, switch is no use for a road car. Just looking for any suggestions/thoughts.
  17. Yeah, Rain X and Stoners are amazing products. I just had a quick look thinking OEM would be fair priced and yeah 80 is not happening for some wipers. I'll go for the Bosch Aerotwin set then, 21 to 18 range...fraction of the cost.
  18. Currently I have a set of Neoform (1x20" NF500 & 2x18" NF450) installed but I don't think you can get these anymore and I'm not even sure the sizes are 'stock'. Been trying to find what the OEM sizes are as I'm looking for a set but I'm not paying 80 for a set of OEMs...
  19. Seen those and others but their condition is too bad, cracking in lenses is a big no, no for me. I know they are old lights (these have not been looked after well) but there are clean sets still out there as I picked up a very nice N/S. Just need a O/S now.
  20. still looking for a set or just the driver's side
  21. This "You can also apply for exemption from the ULEZ if your vehicle was built more than 40 years ago" So can this be done with every vehicle as soon as it turns 40 at any point in the future?
  22. pm sent about crank tool
  23. I think you're right...It was certainly a lot easier in 2015-2017 when I was heavily into working on JDM cars. Now coming back, I feel like a time waster asking over and over for quotes, having to ask multiple suppliers just to see what kind of response I get.
