  5. Yup, great idea. Looking at either doing black satin, matte or low gloss 80-90% ish black. Although it would be nice to have some sort of texture in it.
  6. Hi. I'm in the middle of restoring my lights and i just thought it might be fun to see what you guys think of this. As topic suggests, what color do you think better fits this part: Black, Dark Grey, Chrome or any other (?). I would go for a darker color, what would you go for if you were to do it? Cheers
  7. Hi man. I ended up buying a used one from ebay with the same part number as i had: 19080-46030. I was i a hurry and not really in the mood to spend that much on one. :-) Not sure if that will work, try and contact them to get specs on it.
  8. Hi guys. Previous owner of (now) my 94 jspec mk4 thought it was a good idea to tint the already pretty bad looking headlights dark or close to black, now they are pretty much useless unless i polish/clean all the paint away. :/ But since they are plastic i thought it was a good idea to look for some glass ones instead and wile i'm still at it, get some better lamps in there as well. So, does anyone here have some idea where to find a decent pair of headlights (pref new and w/ clear glass or as clear as possible). Don't know whats better: UK spec, Euro spec, J spec? What's the difference and will either fit even facelift? :? Also what HID kits can you recommend and if not a kit, what parts? Thanks for Replies ____________________________________ Mvh / Regards Daniel E
  9. Depends on preference, I feel more comfortable at least. Brakes was a typo by me, should have been in another sentence.
  10. Hehe, the same thought struck me. Has to be out of this world. I got mine when I was 20 and oo man... It was close to 29k SEK a year. x_x
  11. As stated I would also get a lot of experience both with the car and driving in general before making any major/minor "HP" upgrades ;-). You are able to drive More than fast enough with stock performance. As to what comfort goes, I would get some lower profile tires, coilovers and brakes would also be good in time. If those are already in place, just upgrading all the small stuff, pipes, pumps, cables etc. Prep to future upgrades! \(o.o)/

    General work on my car

    Title says it all!
  13. And another member arrives. Hello all you wonderful ppl!! ;-D Name is Daniel and i currently reside in Sweden. This is mine, a J-spec 2jzge from 94. [i'l update with more once i have time] Cheers
  14. Yea, i figured something like that. Thanks for replies. :-)
  15. Do anyone know if there's any plug -n play / minor mod ones that are better than the stock, that could be worth getting? Or would it just be better to go standalone whilst i'm at it? :-)
  16. Hi. I suspect my ignition coil have had better days as i am not able to start the car anymore.. Cold readings are: +/- 0.4Ω for primary and 5... MΩ for secondary. The current one have this part number: 19080-46030, might not be correct. Some lists: 90919-02197 (?) I've been looking for a new one but most sites lists 19080-46020 as a replacement one? What to do? Am i cool as long as the numbers are within specs? Temps: Cold, Warm Primary: 0.33 – 0.52 Ω, 0.42 – 0.61 Ω Secondary: 8.5 – 14.7 kΩ, 10.8 – 17.2 kΩ Regards Daniel
  17. Thanks for replies. :-) Heh, for some weird reason the computer kept saying it was the o2 sensors that was failing when it actually was the wrong spark plugs... // Some fool(previous owner) put in plugs with 1.6mm gap..! -,- So i swapped em out for some proper ones and it hasn't given me any trouble yet. =D Awesome since the sensors was cheap, like 10 quid ea.
  18. Hello guys. I've been looking around a bit now and i can't seem to find any posts that has working replacement o2 sensors with M18 threads for mkiv n/a jspec. Any of you guys who have some tips on what to look for, or if you know some that works? I have been buying some universal ones, but it does not look like they work. (although voltage seems right when measured, idk how sensitive they are. 0,2 - 0,7 seems about right?) Regards Daniel
