  1. I saw your car on the rotisserie a couple weeks ago, it was weird to see a Supra with nothing on it! Looks like a proper job, I'd love to get mine done in a couple of years once I've finished spending all my money on my house. Seems like a no brainer if you want to keep the car indefinitely.
  2. Mine will have rusted away into a pile of dust by the time it's 40.
  3. I still drive mine every day, people are always looking or even taking photos. The last time I saw another one was a couple of years ago.
  4. I have jspec brakes but I used the standard eBay rebuild kit, they're still working just fine after 2 years. e.g. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TOYOTA-SUPRA-JZA80-3-0T-NON-TURBO-2x-REAR-CALIPER-REPAIR-KITS-PISTON-BCR128AX2/233005450554 The hardest part is getting the old pistons out if they're corroded.
  5. That green one is definitely "unique".. I think I may recall seeing it on eBay 10-12 years ago, or one with a similar weird paintjob.
  6. Yep still interested
  7. One side of mine became mouldy because water got in through the seals but I repaired it with fibreglass.
  8. The hardest part of this is getting the screws out at each end. They were rusted in for me.
  9. https://www.balljointboots.co.uk/ball-joint-boots.html I used these ones for the front lowers, IDK if they're the same size as the rears though they might fit.
  10. Fixed, turns out it was pretty simple. The door trim is just a piece of U-shaped metal coated in rubber so I squashed it a bit with some pliers and it's very firmly clipped in now. Maybe it got bent in shipping.
  11. Alright I'll try and get some better audio, it's hard to get a clean recording with the phone.
  12. I posted about this a little while ago but didn't get it solved back then, so I'm back again. My car makes a funny noise under hard acceleration, over about 5k RPM at wide open throttle. I haven't noticed any conditions which make it more or less common - some days it doesn't happen at all, some it's very bad. The car's performance or driving feel doesn't change when it's making the noise. It seems to be loudest from the driver's seat, I tried recording it in various areas of the car. Opening the window doesn't make it any more noticeable. The car is a facelift NA manual. Since it appeared, I have replaced: Coil, H/T leads, spark plugs, dizzy cap and rotor, both O2 sensors. No change. I have tried a different ECU just in case it was perished capacitors. No change. I replaced all the vacuum hoses and PCV breathers. No change. I have cleaned and replaced the throttle body including the TPS, AICV, and gasket. No change. Perhaps it's something very simple that I'm overthinking or misinterpreting. You can hear it in the following video, starting around 10 seconds. Cheers for any help/suggestions.
  13. I've had one where the brass butterfly piece wears itself into the side of the throttle body. If you shine a light down the throttle body you may be able to see. I think it's a bad design.
  14. It's a temperature sensor I think.

    Activity in Ukraine

It seems like a foolish move by Putin on the surface. I don't see the benefit from puppeting Ukraine being greater than the negatives.
  16. Maybe one of the coolant hoses that attaches to the throttle body has come loose or split?
  17. I'm usually in Cambridge but I can also be in Yeovil sometimes. Eastleigh is only a small detour if I'm going between the two.
  18. Hmm ok well regardless let me know when it's been removed and I'll have a look. I'm a bit far to come see it on the car and then come back again later if I decide I want it.
  19. Is that OEM? I thought they had either a blue or green band across the top depending on facelift or not.
  20. Ok sweet, if it's got no chips or scratches then I will be happy with it. Just to make sure, it's the type with the blue tint at the top? Shoot me a PM when it's ready and we can sort a time/date out for me to collect it.
  21. Great, what kind of condition and where abouts are you located?
