My mates in Bolton have a few of these Starlets & they certainly do move, good little run around toys but the whole car shakes as they shift through the gears it almost feels like the car will self destruct but yeah very fun cars. Most starlets haven't been registered as Turbos & so insurance is usually cheap but it depends if you want to update it on the records.

My Supra died on me today. Any advice would be appreciated

Thanks guys, appreciate your response. So I called my mate round who is a mechanic he adjusted the Idle & the cars works fine. He reckons it could be a coilpack/spark plug issue. But I'll deffo have to look into the error codes. -
So today I took my car to work, its been running great for the last 2 months... I've took it everywhere (inc Japfest). 5 mins from the workplace engine randomly started to idle rough whilst in 'drive' & then all of a sudden engine cut off. I tried starting it again but it just wouldn't start, so I tried starting it again, this time revving it (I was on a roundabout), car started this time, then after a few seconds it began to drive like normal but the warning light came on & then I noticed the car engine became shaky & the lumpy sound started to stay. 3 hours later on my lunch break, I drove it 2 miles down the road to get lunch & the engine just all of a sudden cut off. Now Engine cuts off after literally 2 seconds of trying to start [:(s Model UK Spec Auto

Thanks Well in them 1.5 years I was itching to drive the Supra but insurance was a bummer. I had the Supra parked up for a year in that time i had quotes from insurance companies such as the likes of Elephant quoting me 7k! I got down to 3k after exploring other companies but you'd be mad to pay that much, unless you have money to burn! At the end of the day waiting a whole year was worth it. 2 WEEKS ago I took out my first EVER policy in my name as 1st diver on the Supra with ADMIRAL for £1,596 fully comp & no black box fitted When you consider I've only held my license for 2 years & I'm 21 it's a good deal.

In 1.5 years i went from a Toyota Yaris 1.0 litre too a >> 3.0 TT UK Spec. I'm 21 & what I found is that MPG is no longer MILES PER GALLON but rather SMILES PER GALLON #WatchThatBackEnd

Funny you say this mine has just come on flashing yesterday! if I press the mini button on the auto gearbox inwards then it will flash on & off. However, if the button is not pushed in then the O/D light stays on "Overdrive off".

I did change the gauges from green to neon blue & I also installed the double din Nav... I will have a look at wiring. Thanks

Hi all, Everything seemed to be working just fine when I last drove the supra for a mini test about a month ago. The active cruise control has always been tempromental but I think I've got a similar problem with regards to the dimmer switch. 'TRC Off' 'Diff Oil' etc all do not illuminate. Any ideas ?

Hi all, Just wondering if any Supras will be going down to Silverstone for this event? http://www.japfest.co.uk/

Hi guys, I'll be driving the Supra from next month just wondering what setup to go for since I'm looking to upgrade the speakers? So far I've upgraded the radio set to a double din Pioneer system, but any other ideas would be of great help. Also, does anyone sell them custom made subwoofers that you occasionally see for sale on the Facebook group? I've seen some really smart ones where you still have room for a spare wheel & a Subwoofer in the boot? Thanks

Almost a year later now looking over this thread..., I've finally managed to get a quote that's competitive enough Fully Comp with me as 1st driver for £1,560 with Admiral! Some will say that's still steep but when you consider I've only held my license for 2 years exact - Plus with no NCB to date, this will be my first ever policy in my name *** driving a TT Auto (UK Spec) at 21. Can't wait to feel the difference in power In them two years I've been driving on my Dads open policy - Toyota Yaris 1.5 T-Sport (54 plate) & my brothers Audi A3 S-line 2.0 diesel.

I'm a number plate dealer & we suffered when it was announced that all the DVLA offices will be shutting down. Nevertheless, in the last month or so DVLA have launched an online website! https://www.gov.uk/keep-registration-number. The process has now become so much easier..., rather than having to send numerous docs off to DVLA SWANSEA, you can retain/transfer a plate across within a few minutes via the Directgov site online.

Speaking of appreciating vehicles I was on the look out for a BMW M3 E46 CSL - just within the last 2 years I've seen prices rocket from as low as 20-30k to 70-85k! #I'veMissedTheBoat

I saw someone post this as a comment on Corbyn's page, just had to share it. - Syria. A piece of land roughly the same size as the state of Washington and tonight Parliament debate whether to bomb it or not and I've no doubt they will vote in favour. There's lots of money to be made in war. David Cameron called everyone who opposes the bombing "terrorist sympathisers" and refuses to apologise and if you share this view whilst at the same time complaining about asylum seekers then you my friend are fucking idiot and I'll tell you why; 1). Bombing hasn't worked - Russia, France and their various allies are already bombing Syria and the US has been for over a year so why still ISIS?? 2) The refugees you despise and don't want "comin' over 'ere, bombin' us" are fleeing the bombs already being dropped. Drop more and create more refugees, it's basic maths really. 3) Bombs aren't intelligent, they don't know who to target, if you think killing innocent kids is OK then you're a cunt. 4) No negotiation and no plan - Obviously you can't sit and have a brew with ISIS, they don't want anything from us apart from our destruction. However we can talk to the other gay hating, women demeaning, hand removing, back lashing, beheading group, Saudi Arabia, our allies and ask them to stop part funding ISIS. We could also ask them to stop giving the weapons we're selling them to ISIS and to also take some refugees in? Or maybe we could politely ask Turkey to stop buying their oil on the cheap? 5) You're Government aren't trying to protect you. Bombing without a plan creates terrorism, it's a vicious circle, you see, the thing about being bombed is that people don't like it. They hate it in fact and become quite resentful. We bombed Iraq without a plan, then we gave some rebels some money, training and weapons and left them to it. But the thing is, they resented us and some of them formed ISIS. If we get involved now then we're asking for more terrorist acts against us. 6) We're supposedly skint. The NHS is in tatters, people are using food banks, the severely disabled are killing themselves and front line services and police are being cut so how do we afford it? If being against bombing Syria makes me a terrorist sympathiser then call me Jihadi Ste.

Thanks mate. Btw I've just sold my Black 740i with M-parallels two days ago! It was on eBay for a month & I even had a thread on here. Hard to find a genuine sports model in Black, let alone black on black combo which I've just sold. Thanks guys, the reason why I went for black is because I wanted this to look like a "Black edition". And yeah it's almost as if these Alpina wheels were made for e38's..., but they were actually made for the e65 7 series. But imo they're look much better on e38s, they sit sweet. LOL no one likes the Forgestars on this aha, but yeah I can see where your coming from but I think it sets it apart from most Merc E class, something different is always nice. Power delivery is great, back end steps out but it's fun. Cheers.
