  1. Due to my recent rebuild I will be no longer be needing the clutch and flywheel for my 5speed w58 gear box. It had only been on for around 400 miles so still basicly brand new. Highly recommend it for any na or na-t owner as it made a huge improvement on the cars acceleration. As you can see from the image everything is still in perfect condition and looking for £380.
  2. 5 speed w58 gearbox for sale will come complete with mount the box is in good working order and has done 90k miles open to offers and buyer be responsible for collection or delivery. Anyone questions please feel free to ask
  3. Does anyone have the intake and exhaust valve cover they would like to sell. Many thanks
  4. Thank you chris do you mind to explain on how you take the valve springs out when the head is on so i can replace it with a soft spring and measure it Thank you mate
  5. Am I right in saying the clearence between the valve and the piston is .100" for exhaust and .80 for intake?
  6. The intake valves are alot bigger than the exhaust valves they seem to sit in the recess fine and don't make any contact outside of that recess
  7. This is a picture of the pistons I have ensured that the deeper valve pocket on the piston is on the intake side due to the ge having big intake valves and small exhaust valves. Thank you
  8. I've been building my 2jz-ge engine and I have installed 2jz gte forged cp pistons and manley roads and keeping the ge head I've installed a hks 1.2mm head gasket and after installing the cam shafts at tdc I've noticed that when you turn the intake and exhaust cam shaft they stop at a certain point obviously the valves hitting the piston on cylinder 6. Is this normal I always thought the 2jz engines where non interference engines. I've taken a picture to show you at which location the 2 camshafts are at before piston to valve meet the white markers on the cam gears represent the tdc marker. Any help would be greatly appreciated before I carry on my build I'm just paranoid that will cause issues upon start up Many thanks
  9. Thanks for the advise mate Lee at srd has recommended going with the stock 1.3mm
  10. I have a 2jz-ge engine which I have recently started to rebuild in doing so when I removed the head the top of the block was pitted. As I will be installing a turbo in the hope to achieve 500 bhp I decided to purchase some 86.5mm cp pistons with the compression ratio of 8.5:1. I sent the block away to the engineering company who bored and skimmed the block. The issue I have which is extremely frustrating is the engineering company doesn't know how much they had taken off on the skim even tho o asked them to write it down so I can order the correct head gasket. After weeks of argumens with them they asked me to find out the the measurements of the block so they can measure mine and tell me how much was taken off. Is there anyone on this page who can advise me on where to go with this as I cannot find the precise mesurments on a 2jz block and I'm pretty certain I won't be able to. I don't wanna just run a stock gte 1.3mm head gasket on it as I could risk damaging the pistons or even the valves.
  11. Have you a oil level sensor by any chance?
  12. Don't suppose you have a oil level sensor located in the sump that I can buy off you?
  13. Just taken my 2jz ge engine to a engineering company to get the block and head skimmed also planning on fitting 2jz tt forged pistons and rods aswell as a full turbo kit. as the block stands at the min the cylinders are 86mm and the forged pistons come in 86.5mm when I bore the engine will it cause overheating issues and will I be able to use the same crank? Im buying a ally rad and twin fan to keep the engine cool. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks
  14. Thanks for your support mate I've taken on board the advise you gave about the pistons and the pistons I've seen are cp pistons I've heard pretty good reviews about these and at a reasonable Price of £640 there not to bad for price. Still undecided on rods tho eagle rods keep poping to mind but I'm not sure if these are of good quality dunno if you could recommend any? As for the gasket Im unsure about getting a thicker one as the pistons compression ratio is 9.0.1 and I feel if I put a thicker 2mm head gasket on it would bring the compression ratio down even more I know the tt pistons run at 8.0.1 but picking up a decent 2jz gte pistons is proving impossible Hense why I shopped around and found cp pistons
  15. so i have decided to take my mk4 2jz-ge pride and joy of the road for a few months and get to work on rebuilding and turbocharging the engine. by the time ive finsished i will be hopfully aiming for 400bhp with forged rods and pistons turbo manifold, turbo etc etc. so far have managed to take the engine out the bay which came out surprisingly easy now ready to strip the block apart replace any internals that need replacing get the cylinder head skimmed and honed replace all the valve stem seals and springs including all the gaskets. been looking at changing the head gasket to a 2.0mm to lower compression ratio aswell as getting the whole engine cleaned up looking like new so far from going through all the posts on the forum i have gathered enough knowledge to give me the confidence to give it a go. the engine currently stands at 87,000 miles and really one of the main reasons in doing this is so that i can get to grips with my engine aswell as producing more power its easy to turn around and say just buy a tt but to me personally anyone can do that id get more pleasure in building up my engine from scratch knowing that everything is at good quality and working order any advise or experience any one has had i would love to hear from you.
