  1. Okay so I checked the oil level at work and had to top it up engine was at operating temp when I did this can't say I had noticed it happen after this. But that being said it stopped for a while the other night when the car was at operating temp but the problem came back when the car had cooled down. I also selected every gear Inc. Park before checking the oil just went a basic up and down gearbox. If the problem persists I will use the gear pattern as stated above and then check oil level again. I am going to have to do this on Friday morning when I get time but in the meantime it looks like I'll have to walk to work and back
  2. Thanks and my bad I miss read the manual I read it as the oil should be at 70-80° and level at cold instead of use cold as a rough reference when the engine does not run Or drive the car until it reaches operating temp 70-80° Thanks I'm glad you mentioned it otherwise I would have done it wrong. So if I drive to work (aprox. 2.6miles) it should be at operating temp giving me an accurate reading where I can check the oil level and adjust the tps sensor if required
  3. How long would you recommend to leave the engine running? I know in the manual it says till the oil is at a certain temp but I don't have anything to measure it with
  4. Thought so, I'll have a look when I get back from work in the morning until then I think I will leave it parked up in the drive
  5. Thanks I will have a look in the morning when it is lighter, meanwhile is it safe to drive as is or will it damage the autobox?
  6. So I have read and looked at http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=207697 and tbh I don't get what the Japanese manual part is saying
  7. Never mind I'm just reading your post now about the J-Spec and adjustment
  8. How would I know if that is adjusted correctly as I've had that part off for mirror polishing and just fitted it like it came off
  9. I've been reading through the thread and I don't get any of the other issues or error codes that others have posed and my odo seems to work fine would this be worth trying or is it possible it could be something else
  10. Is it this http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?72588-Code-42-Fix&highlight=pink+wire+mod
  11. Hi, I have recently replaced the oil filter for the auto box and upgraded from a stock rad to a Whifbitz one which needs a separate autobox oil cooler (also fitted) filled up the fluid (as per repair manual) and I'm now having some issues. When I'm in Drive the gear seems to "slip" out of gear and into neutral and then back again after a few seconds (doesn't seem to be a set time frame) this normally happens when I am sat in a queue or slowing down to a halt. I have checked for error codes and I get nothing. Anybody any ideas Thanks
  12. I have a OEM front passengers side wing needs a bit of a refurb at the bottom but you can have it for free if you collect or I can meet half way once the car is back on the road (shouldn't be too long)

  17. As above really, Looking for either Toyota fipg (orange or three bond 1281) Or a tried and tested equivalent, this is for re-sealing my tranny pan once I have changed the autobox filter. My local Toyota dealer want £75 exc. VAT for this stuff and tbh I don't want to pay anything near that when I can get it from the US for £25 Inc. Import taxes What have people used and where can I get some for around £25 Thanks
  18. Oh and how do you get the fitting on the braided hose I can't get the screw cap over the hose far enough to shove in the bit that does into the hose
  19. Hi, I am currently upgrading the car and have run into a few issues Firstly I have bought the ETC 4" Core FMIC with a tial flange welded in I have followed the instructions that came however following them it does not state where the 45° silicone pipe attaches to and cannot for the life of me work out how it fits (Images can be provided if needed) Also as I made a mistake when ordering I now have to buy a TiAl bov does it matter if I purchase a atmo or recirc one, I have read about the over fuelling issues from the atmo one but not sure if it happens with the Supra And lastly where would you mount the auto box cooler and does it matter how its mounted (fitting on top or bottom) Thanks Pete
  20. Yeah sticking it in the oven, not so bright especially not long after soaking it in petrol lol. But yeah I'm happy to buy it off you Thanks Pete
  21. Would the woodgrain come off easily and it looks to be that rubber stuff underneath it, if it is all easily removable then I'll take it. I have had one previously and the rubber would not come off, tried bleach, brake fluid, petrol and the oven. Thanks Pete
