1. Hey all, Just wondered if anyone has a reccomendation for a performance Autobox fluid? The reason being is that I will occasionally be drifting the car and also attending some track days, so other than a decent size Transmission Oil Cooler, is there any oil folks would suggest? or is the Toyota the best available?
2. As above, came with my recent Chaser purchase. Pretty good nick and gives a blue/purpley tint. Comes with the fitting to secure. Not sure if it will fit other models or what brand it is, so asking £30 collected. I cant post due to size and damage risk, so please dont ask.
3. Hey all, Just wondering if anyone has info on Toyota Diffs? My Chaser (JZX90 Tourer-V) has an A01C diff fitted, but i am trying to find out if this is an Open or Torsen diff. Any help would be greatly appreciated
4. Not sure how i feel about this, but rolling coal will be different for sure, but hey, thats what keeps the car community so diverse
5. I do have the other 2x throttle bodies spare, but you would just need to change the linkages around on them so they are 2x sets of 4, rather than a set of inline 6's
6. Coinsidence...! Lol 90 is great, comfy, quick, love it..! Never driven the JZX100, but imagine it to be much the same,
7. Very happy Chris..! It is, very comfy! I have plans to up the power and add a few nice bits without destroying how the car looks. Need to do some digging on what power modifications can be done without killing the engine....
8. Picked the car up on Sunday, 400 mile round trip, but well worth it in the end... 6am I grabbed the wife's Nissan Cube and a friend, then made the treck up north. It all looked spot on, so fuelled her up and drove about 200mile back home, She drives extremely well, pulls like a train and super clean inside and out, apart from the mats which need a good scrub. Like driving a big sofa lol Took a few snaps of the inside, will put more up when I can, but pics just dont do it justice. Other than having R32 GTR wheels, thats the only mod so far, all completely unmolested, original condition It also had a Blue tinited rear window blind from Toyota, but I wasnt a fan of it, so its been removed and packaged up for safe keeping or to sell...
9. Nice Nice car, but its non Turbo, mine is Turbo Chris Wilson may be interested lol
10. Will give that a look, Still pretty low miles for a 96 model I haven't took delivery just yet...! Do you have a JZX too?
11. Apologies lol Will have to scout around and see what the latest trend is, i could always let it sit in the warehouse a few days to air out on the ramp. Then have a bash at it. Fortunately Toyota seem to have the metal work dialled in on it, so want to preserve it as best as a daily car can be preserved...!
12. Yea, she's pretty clean..! What else do people use thats is better than Waxoyl? Something clear would be ideal, rather than slapping piles of black nasty all over the shop. I wont give you the exact figure, but its under £5k lol
13. Nothing sexier than a full engine build..! Looking forward to seeing how you get on
14. Thats what I thought, will be sure to get some clear Waxoyl under there though, with all this salt on our roads I would like to keep the underside like it is lol
15. So it looks like my Supra days are over for now. But I will still be on here mooching around and supporting with any parts you guys may need. I have been struggling with only 1x practiacal car (the wifes Cube) and a handful of kids, so I needed something bigger, with rear seats that I can actually get people into. So, the Supra should be going this Saturday and in its place, staying loyal to the Toyota brand, I put a deposit down on a JZX90 Chaser Tourer V She is a 1JZ-GTE Auto, all factory apart from the R32 GTR wheels. Covered 51,000 miles and appears to in great condition I have a few plans lined up, but nothing drastic. Will be looking to get a set of standard rims from Japan, then fitting Coilovers and spacers if needed to get her sitting right, but still looking stock From there, just a general interior tidy and then more power as she will be my first Turbo car Will be sure to get more pics up soon if both deals go without problems.
16. Up for sale we have the parts I gathered for my Throttle Body Project. Due to me selling the car and going a different route, I now have the parts up for sale for anyone wishing to go down this route. Please note, this is NOT going to simply bolt onto the car, it still requires work and other bits to finish, which I will note further down. So, we have a set of 6x Black Top 4AGE Individual Throttle Bodies, ready to link together. These are from the AE111 Corrolla. I had to source 2x sets of ITB's for obvious reasons, so i have 2x spare to include in the sale. I had a go at designing a flange to mount them on, which in turn would need welding to a trimmed down 2JZ-GE inlet manifold, its ok, but I am no engineer. From my research, the Flange isnt thick enough and will more than likely Warp with the heat, so it needs redesigning with at least a 10mm thick piece. I obtained an OEM inlet manifold which had been trimmed down, the end branches were removed and welded at a slight angle to give the correct position to the ITB's location. This still needs levelling off and flange welding on. plus new brackets welding on for the OEM Fuel Rail. Included in the sale are new Stainless 12 point ARP Nuts and Bolts, if the flange is tapped with the correct size, those bolts can be used. Also a used 2JZ-GTE Throttle Cable, which appears to be a direct fit and 6x new Toyota ITB Mounting Gaskets. Parts required that I am aware of; ECU (Standalone or Piggyback) - Greg at Protuner suggested a Link G4 Vacuum Distribution Block Velocity Stacks 2JZ throttle position Sensor - (direct fit, when turned around) Thermal Barrier Inlet Manifold Gasket (Sold by a few US companies) So thats it, price, well i am asking £400ovno delivered to UK Mainland only. I am selling at a loss, so please dont expect a big price drop. PM for more info.
