  1. I hope its not..! Though i did drain the oil and it was clean, even the magnetic sump plug was clear of debris
  2. Very jealous! I love these Looking forward to seeing it progress
  3. Not sure on the end float, never measured it before. Will have a look. Thanks for your help so far
  4. Thanks Chris, did you watch the video i put up earlier on this thread? The noise wasn't there all the time, you could accelerate hard and its fine, right until you lift off the gas and the engine is not under any load it was there (on over run) Could that be excessive crank float? It doesn't have the oe crank pulley and i don't know how long its been on there
  5. So i tried the nut a while back and it did nothing.. Thinking it might be cam/valve related... Going by that, i stripped the head down, cams and caps look good. So i pulled the cam buckets. All look good apart from cylinder 1 on the inlet side Does anyone think this pitting could be a likely cause?
  6. Luck i'm guessing, our works Puma Cup car hasn't had any major faults or accidents this year and has been within the top 3 consistently. Development wise, the cars are all set at equal specs really so mods are very limited to keep it fair. (Aside from potentially introducing LSD's next year) Saying that, it is meant to be cheap, to a degree. I'd never doubt the costs, as you say, entry, tyres, fuel and travel alone aren't gonna be cheap. Hell a catastrophic off would potentially end my season if i get that far lol
  7. A few guys said the first season is the most expensive, getting a licence, car and equipment etc, but once you have that, its only the races you have to pay for the following year...
  8. Good see so many of you are involved Really looking forward to starting. Once my Supra is fixed, i will be selling my daily car and picking a Puma up. Hard to not show an interest, work is all tuning and motorsport based really so would be rude not too get stuck in
  9. So me and a mate are looking into Racing, never done it before and always fancied it. Although it wont be in a Supra.. A few guys from work are competing in the Dunlop Puma Cup, as a budget entry and keeping it cheap n cheerful, that is where i am heading to begin with.... Got me thinking, does anyone here race in any championships? Would be interesting to know who does what
  10. They retail at about £210 for the pair dude
  11. More bits arrived today, noticed the front discs and pads were long past a change so had a scout round at work. Our office in Germany happened to have a set of Stoptech Slotted Rotors and Street Sports Pads in stock for cheaps so i snapped them up They don't look too bad so will be a job for the weekend. However, in my utter foolishness, I ordered UK Spec Pads and Rotors. I have Lexus 4 Pots, so they aren't going to fit Doh....! Ahh well, will have to source something else, Braided lines and new fluid soon...
  12. Took a closer pic of the wheel to show how much lower it is. I wanted the Tyre flush with the arch or as close to it as possible anyway... Chuffed with how much better she sits. Once she is running properly, I will be getting the geo setup sorted. Interested to see how well she's going to handle
  13. Finally had the chance to pull the old leaky suspension off and fit the new shiny gear today. The passengers front damper is shot looking at the state of it I also took the chance to pull all of the arch liners out and Waxoyl underneath them. All bolted up along with the front sway-bar and adjustable links Really coming together now... End result after a bit more lowering, not the best pic as I was running out of light
  14. Had a break in the weather today so decided to put some shiny bits on the car to cheer me up a little... Pulled the old struts off the rear Pulled the sway-bar off too to pop the new Whiteline bar on Whiteline heavy duty adjustable links dropped on too Teins lookin much better, ran out of light so called it quits Will hopefully have the fronts on tomorrow too, then set the ride height. Once the engine is fixed, we will be getting a full geo setup. Cant wait...!
  15. Welcome back Shaun..! Lol. Cars looking clean, lemme know when you decide to get rid of that 5 speed box!
  16. The Post came today, I guess I am an official member 
  17. Cheers bud. You mean the suede wrap? The material is off eBay, that along with some decent spray glue and patience and your away
  18. Not 100% sure yet but may be a sticking valve/lifter Will be looking at getting a tall block soon if you have one? (Non VVTi) Mwuhahaa!
  19. I hope so...! The engine is having a few issues at the moment with a few noises, think i need to pull the head On a plus note, I took delivery of my Coilovers
  20. Does anyone have one spare that is local to walsall..?
  21. Think i have found the cause, however i am lacking the nut to cure it... Left hand lower engine mount nut is missing! I doubt its gonna cure it but i am staying positive
  22. I changed the cambelt the other week, the noise was there before though
