  1. Are the Flexplates the same between turbo and none turbo models?
  2. The washer plate was definitely there, the spacer plate between the crank and flywheel, i don't recall seeing one
  3. So i pulled the engine today, separated the box from the engine and found this... Not sure if this is definitely the cause, but its a guilty looking candidate!
  4. Thanks bud Yea it covers the marks where the old badge was lol
  5. Decided today was the day to finish the Engine removal Came out a treat! Pulled the box off and the Torque Converter, then noticed my Flywheel was in 2 pieces..!! I think that is the cause of my noise... That'll be all for now...!
  6. Dang, will have to see whats about. Would be cheaper to run the old pistons i guess but they'd need a thorough checkover first....
  7. Engine and Box are almost ready to come out, just the Propshaft and Cat to remove, then out she comes...
  8. Thanks bud, the Wheel was borrowed from work but the offsets Rays offer just wouldn't work on the front. Unfortunately it wont be just yet as all my spare cash will be going to overhaul the engine...
  9. Speaking of which, I picked up a nice 86mm Tapered Ring Compressor today 
  10. Not heard of the Hybrid Auto before, will have to take a look... Sounds expensive mind. Pistons will keep the same CR, i believe its 8.0:1 for a NA motor?
  11. True, I would like go NA-T in the future, once the Suspension and Brakes etc are all up to scratch. Definately interested in a manual conversion, but I don't want it goin boom! Lol Maybe I'll do it whilst still NA, then change to a stronger box and clutch when I go Turbo...
  12. King Racing Crank Bearings have arrived in stock at work along with ARP parts, looking forward to the rebuild. Even if money is tight. Ahh well, Engine is coming out the weekend...
  13. Think i might be going for pistons anyways, £220 for a set of OEM rings whereas i can get a set of new forged Wiseco ones for about £450 from work. What is it that tends to let go on the W58's?
  14. Possibly bud, depends on price cos i'v gotta fair chunk of money to save/spend for the rebuild lol
  15. Just downloaded it, seems pretty good
  16. Hey all, Sorry for the noobish question, but are the 2JZ-GE pistons the same size/spec as the GTE? I am looking at getting a set of 86mm Wiseco pistons for my GE rebuild but they only say for GTE?
  17. Well, I have come to the conclusion that the Engine is need of a rebuild, so the car is off the road for the winter now. I should hopefully be picking up a block and crank ready to build up soon... Given the noises from the engine, I have a dreaded feeling its scrap So, Winter plans, full rebuild, Pistons, Rods etc & hopefully a Manual 5 Speed conversion if funds allow. May look into a Whifbitz Turbo Kit too. Just need to tidy the man cave ready to lock myself away.
  18. Loving it at the moment, although I did think the last couple of episodes were cack
  19. Cool, do you do that work chris? Or recommend someone who can?
  20. Gotcha, so ideally, you would want to check the bore and pistons for ovality and size firstly then?
  21. Call me a noob, but why wouldn't honing the block and re using old pistons (with new rings) work?
