If you search about it you'll find people have run years with them too though. I think it's banging the engine on limiters while drifting that kills them but regardless if its bee-r or standard limiters the same will happen, drifting is really hard on engines. I'm currently on my 3rd engine on my Nissan without using bee-r's just purely because I'm limiter happy while drifting. When you rev the car stationery there is no load or boost on the engine, I'd imagine the biggest killer will be fuel mixture on boost while hitting the limiter for long periods will kill an engine.
As long as you don't take the piss with the bee-r it will be fine.
