  1. Take the bcc off and bench test it. Connect the live to the battery and the earth to an earth, next take the wire going to your map sensor and connect it onto the battery live too. You should be left with one wire hanging. Take a multimeter and check how much positive voltage is coming out of that wire. Should be set to 4.39v or a little less.
  2. Maybe check for continuity/resistance and corrosion at the pins for the igf wire too
  3. Lol makes sense now Your running a little rich I'd say or your cat is fubared.
  4. 3.34% should be a pass if the max is 3.5%
  5. Your bumper has a mouth which ducts the air into the intercooler. You guys really live up to your reputation outside this forum ha ha
  6. See this is the type of comments your all good at!!!, I never said I was the best in the world like cw. I simply said I was no newb compared to most supra owners that take there cars to the most expensive garage next to them to get there bulbs fitted
  7. I don't charge for my help (unless donated), I work as inspector now for an oil company but still work on cars as a hobbie and like I said I hate rip off garages. Going to look at a jzx tonight in fact
  8. And the quote also had swearing which provoked that response and maybe you shouldn't be so biased and sort out provocative party. There is plenty of helpful information on this site I agree. Don't understand why you snipped the last bit out though?
  9. Because unlike u i don't like to come across as an arrogant who has nothing better to do but sit and write about people and try and be a smart comedian instead of being purely technical in a technical thread. IMO u like the attention you get from the rest of the non technically minded people on here and have a laugh but at the same time your just repeating what other people say. I'm a newb that has built and mapped my own drift car running 380bhp, bought a non running manual supra that has sat for 14months as nobody that looked at it had a clue and got it running in 3days, completed a 1jz conversion into an sbody, yb into mk1 escort, just built and mapped a friends drift car just to name a few, mapped subarus, evos, sbody's and plenty more. But yes I'm a newb you The supra is quite fast, running 386bhp/374lbft at 0.9-1bar
  10. First time that reason was said, but I don't agree that sidemount is better at cooling lol
  11. Yes and!! Because I'm on the supra forum I have to worship toyota , yeah ok!! Lol I've been part of the sxoc since 2005 and the thing that makes that forum so good is it doesn't matter what car you have. Turned more into a car enthusiast club with a lot of info from knowledgable people throughout a wide car range. Where as you are all stuck telling each other the same things lol
  12. The only idiots are guys that believe because toyata designed it it is the best idea In the world ha ha You guys are comical in here that's for sure.
  13. Oh but toyota invented the sidemount with ducting (apparently) so it's the best, even though majority of Japanese car company's that made turbo'd coupes done the same ha ha but like I said it's more to do with having crash bars.
  14. I'm sorry but a lot of Japanese cars from that year run sidemounts and top mounts and I imagine it was more to do with having room for crash bars and aircon than anything else. Power compromised by safety. The only cars off the top of my head that get front mounts are evo's and skyline gtr (not gtst)
  15. Now that is true!!! Also the fact that most Japanese cars still don't look as old as European cars of the same era lol
  16. I didn't say ducting wouldn't make a difference, I said the front mount is better than the side mount. It's not rocket science. I fully understand that ducting the front mount will make a difference but like I've said already, majority of big power cars have front mounts without ducting. Front mounts are tried and tested through out every range of cars. And I have said already that I agree that the smic will be ok for bpu. I said that in my first post
  17. Emmmmm ok!!! Go to your nearest performance garage to get your horn fixed!!!
  18. Yeah I knew there was vents there lol Would be good to get some solid info from proper tests. Thing is nobody really ducts a front mount, even on 1000bhp cars there just slapped on the front. For instance http://www.gtspirit.com/2013/06/09/gallery-1000hp-black-toyota-supra/?switch_theme=mobile&font_size=large
  19. Good info there, a measurement of iat's would have been good also
  20. Lmao I know where you going with that but even if I didn't have lips air would still go through ha ha
  21. That's what I would like to see, test results of temps while on a track before and after the intercooler.
  22. I'm not saying that the sidemount won't do the job though
  23. I disagree, a front mount does not need ducting, it has a mass of cold air blowing towards it which covers a wide area of the cooler. If you where to stick your head out the window of a moving car and smile with teeth showing, would wind go round your face without forcing air between your teeth or would your face need ducting lol. Also if you create to tight a ducting towards a small side mount you are creating a pressure build up infront of the intercooler which reduces the speed at which the air can be dispersed. Then your left with a build up of air spilling back out and round the bumper.
