Ok, there may be a bit of confusion here. my fault really lol. I have a manual 6 speed v161 supra with stage 1 clutch and spec light flywheel. No auto here
-
Ok, so should i ask whether they can fit and map me a emanage ultimate for my current setup or would it be a worth while investment to go for the syvecs? From what you have told me thus far, I pressume I will need larger injectors, is that correct? Also I had a brief look at injectors on whifbitz and found 650cc SARD injectors. They are high impendence. Would these be a straight forward swap? http://www.garagewhifbitz.co.uk/sard-828.html

yeah i will have a chat with my dyno guy tomorrow and see if I can find out the info. The knock happened on the high rev range on 1 bar boost, so low boost if thats anything to go by. At the time of dyno in regards to fuel, i was using Shell V-Power premium unleaded. So the fuel should have been perfectly fine. Dont want to turn the boost down to cure the problem either, as it should be able to handle 1.2bar normally. It must be as said either a fuel filter issue, a ecu issue or my 264 cams and hybrid turbos are causing the lean problem. Just curious as well. I have asked a few garages about the piggy back ecu's and they have always told me that they are not very good?

In think we only ran low boost on this dyno run so 1bar just to be on the safe side. It was on low boost during the dyno run that we noticed it running lean and the knock. If I did need to go to larger injectors, say for example 600cc injectors. Would I still be able to map the car for around 400bhp? As i don't really want to go above that at this point in time. Thanks for you help so far

Yeah I will get the fuel filter checked as I dont believe that has been changed in a long time. Defo not since I got the car 2 years ago. Are the super air flow converters any good? Would it help to cure the supra running lean? I should note that in my dyno run at higher boost when it showed running lean, they did also mention they noticed slight knock whilst listening in, so stopped the run as they wanted to sort the car before going back on the dyno. Also I know that the Syvecs is a bit overkill, but would it not be a worth while investment. Dont mind if its going to be the more reliable option.

Sorry bud, not really sure on what the figures were off the top of my head. I could probably get them from my dyno guy. I can ask regarding the AFR aswell. Not sure how far it was. In regards to the injectors, could i not still use the 440cc injectors with syvecs and just map it with those? Also what other ecu's would be a good alternative?

Hi guys, Just needed some hlep and advise really based on my recent dyno run. Had a dyno run last week and we discovered that my supra was running lean. Was advised that this shouldnt be the case even at my bpu level. My current engine setup is as follows: 93 Supra Twin turbo with hyrbid twins from whifbitz. 264 cams. Aftermarket induction kit. FCD. Standard ECU. 440cc injectors. Walbro fuel pump. (I was advised by previous owner that this had been fitted) Full decat echaust system. HKS silent hi power. New Greddy Profec Boost Controller. Set to 1.0bar low boost and 1.2bar high boost. The 264 cams, fcd and boost controller were installed most recently. The car idles a little bit rough for the first minute or so due to the 264 cams. I was told that this was normal for the type of cams on my standard setup. This can be corrected with a different ecu and remap i was advised. In regards to the car running lean, Im just wondering whether it may be due to the new cams possibly? I basically trying to get some insight into what the causes may be and what should be looked into? We were considering fitting a Syvecs S6 ECU kit to remap the car as it is now and adjust fueling etc. Or would this be overkill for my hybrid/264 cam setup? Also are my current 440cc injectors ok at my current level or would different injectors be required? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Regards Ash

Price lowered to £16,495 or near offers welcome. I think this is a fair price for the amount of time and work that has gone into this car. The new owner would not be dissapointed. PM me if interested. -

"update" Supra has now just had another service. Oil, oil filter and power steering fluid changed. Also just paid a fair amount for the front crank seal to be changed as it was seeping. The car has also had a full check over for leaks and front underside of the car has been professionally cleaned. Car taken on long test drives on boost to check new seals. All checked out fine. Brand new tensioner and front wheel arch liners have also been installed. Offers welcome! -

"Bump" offers welcome -
One of my most stupid moments where my mates had to intervene. I was on holiday and had just woken up early morning, got out of bed and fancied a pop tart. So out comes the pop tart into the toaster and I wait a few minutes. Now as im attempting to take the warm pop tart out of the toaster half of it breaks off and falls back into the toaster. At this point without thinking, I grab a metal fork and then proceed to try and scrape the other piece of pop tart out of the toaster. Bear in mind its still powered on lol. As im placing this metal fork nearer to the toaster, my mates shouts "nooooo, you idot", grabs the fork off me and tells me I am to never go near the toaster again at breakfast

Well as said before bud, if you would like to make an offer feel free. At least I can then consider it and let you know. Happy to negotiate

Fair enough bud. I agree, feel free to end the thread.

Lol. You guys are just teasing me now

Just to stop any confusion. The car shell itself yes, was once an NA, but that is the only na part on the car. The engine is from a true TT supra, it was then dropped into this shell. I know a few have suggested that I have just modified and converted an na engine into a twin turbo engine, which is not the case. Just wanted to clear this up. The car also has a TT 6 speed v161 with spec stage 1 clutch and flywheel. All brand new. The rear diff Is also a TT large diff and the brakes are all TT brakes with uprated Porterfield pads.

Appreciate the advise guys. I know I may have it at a higher price than others, but that wad purely down to all the recent work that has gone into the car. Everything has been done to the highest standard. I have only dropped the car down to £19,500 as after looking further into it I thought that the original £25,000 price tag was as said a little high. I've only posted here to highlight that people are more than welcome to make an offer on the car so I can consider. The car is maintained to the highest standards and I hope as j_jza80 mentioned that people may be worried due to the price change. I can assure you that viewing is more than welcome and I have all the receipts etc, nothing to hide. I'm honestly just looking to fund a new car that can do the miles back and forth to work. As said in the advert your most welcome to check with the garages that have worked on the supra If all else fails and I cant get what I'm after I will happily keep the supra. I will let the advert on ebay run for the next 15 days and if nothing happens I will keep her and get a cheap car to run around instead

Edited my sales thread to the original listed price, as its then in-line with my ebay sales page. I just want to see how it goes at the £25,000 mark and see if anyone makes an offer at a price range I would be willing to sell the car at. After all, a lot has gone into the build recently and I would regret selling for a price Im not 100% satisfied with. Im sure you guys understand. So for now, im just gonna sit back, test the water and see how it goes -

Ok guys for now Im going to put the Supra at the £24,995 mark, in-line with my ebay sale page price just to see how it all goes and what offers come along. I will keep it up on ebay for a while and if nothing comes out of it, I will most likely keep my Supra and get a daily at some stage too -

Well cheers guys for your insights. Its a lovely car and I would hate to break it for parts. Would be a real shame. I really do appreciate your responses, its nice to get everyones honest opinion. Even if i broke for parts, Im still gonna have to pay someone to do that, so its seems pointless. Well I will keep it up here for a little bit and if nothing comes of it, I will just have to keep her and get another daily car. Guess I could lease a newish corsa or something. They have some pretty cheap deals going. Just dont wanna buy some old banger that cant even make it 5 miles without having a mental break down lol. -

Fair enough mate. If that is the case though, I may as well be giving the car away for free. Realistically, I don't think I could let her go for that price range. If you look at it from my perspective, Ive spent way over that and had hoped to get a reasonable amount of that back. Most parts are relatively new as well. I will see how this goes for a while and if nothing comes of it, I will just keep her
