  1. Hi all, I have a 96 JDM TT auto. Ive decatted the second CAT with a decat pipe, but kept the front CAT. I did this over 6 years ago as as I wanted BPU but didnt want to complete ruin the reliablility. Well, over time the front CAT pipe flexi joints are blown and I need either a replaced unit ( toyota ), or buy a second hand one ( which is becoming difficult to find ), or I go and decat the front CAT. Now, from memory, back in the early days when I brought the car, 2004, I never decatted the front CAT due to boost creep. If you did you needed to buy some restrictor ring. Is this still correct ? SO, what do I need if I decat the front CAT now ?? What psi increase will I get ?? any issues ?? PErsonally I would rather just get a second hand front CAT. Anyone got one ? Becoming an issue now, as car is off the road and Im using 150bhp car, and its slow :-) SBK
  2. whats the condition of the pads / disks like ?? I was only hoping to buy new calipers :-) SBK
  3. Hi all My 96' JDM twin turbo's front calipers have seezed. Time to replace them. So, I need both passenger and drivers front JDM, i.e. smaller brake setup. Cash waiting, and Im based near Worthing. SBK
  4. 20mpg ? Is that around town ? on an open road ? Christ ! my pi55 poor 2.8 pajero exceed, even on full pelt returns 24mpg. Mind you, yours is new and not truely run in yet. Thought about taking it to a dealer, sale or return ? SBK
  5. Im currently looking for one of these but in black, silver or blue. :-( Just not feeling the red, sorry. Love the diamond version, wheels, front grill and other bits just make it. Lovely trucks, and the stereo is amazing, as is the camera. Out of interest, was the mpg like ?? Shocking depriecation as well, have since ones go for 16-18K. SBK
  6. I agree, Ive just come back from my dog walking me. :-) As he's 9, he has rheumatism in his left rear leg, and front paw. Still in good shape, but its hard seeing your little boy get old. Anyway, hope all goes well for you , the dog and the pups. SBK
  7. Like I said, no dis-respect to anyone, or what the charity does, it does a fine job. Im sure you do home checks etc, so no worries. Im just an owner that tries to hit home the reality of owning an Akita. SBK
  8. IVe got an akita too. He's a 9 year old male and I picked him when he was 3 weeks old (had to wait for 5 wks before I could collect him ). Akitas are lovely dogs, and can be a right handful. Yes they are dominant, so you need to be dominant back to them, so they learn their position in the pack. This is why Akitas are only recommended to people that have had dogs, and understand what the breed is all about. If you want a stick fetching, roll over and play died dog, then an Akita isnt for you. It scares me seeing adverts like this, i.e. akita pups given away free, as the idea of a free dog over rules the importance of finding the right family and environment, more than saving a few quid. No disrepect to the advert writer / user. When I got my boy 9 years ago, the Akita breed was still rather small and unheard of, nowadays everyone knows what an Akita is, and they have such bad press due to stupid, young, immature and unresponbile owners. Then umber of tv new reports you see, where young boys have akitas, walking the streets looking hard, just ruins the image of what is a fine, loving dog. Akitas dont bark like normal dogs, and are incredibly quiet. My boy only barks if someone is near and he feels they are threatening his pack, i.e. my family, and mainly howls. As an owner, you need to be so firm with these animals, and I mean firm. At the age of 1, my dog tried to `become the daddy` so to speak, having a go at me, and I had to put him in his place. Once you show you are the top dog, your ok. As for kids, other pets, well my boy doesnt get on with other dogs. He tries to dominate them, so walking him means always on a lead. Cats ? well, if he catches one, you will soon see why he has to have a house on his own. For kids, well again I wouldnt recommend it myself, ok I know plenty of people will say they are ok, but for me and the experience Ive had ( 2 attempted police charges, court cases, etc etc ) I wouldnt suggest it. I suppose if your children at 10 and above, and the dog is a puppy, then no worries, they all grow together. The problem I had was as these dogs looks so cute, fluffly and lovable, you have to be careful of young girls, (7 - 9 ), seeing them as teddybears and trying to hug them. These dogs do not take kindly to people just grabbing them etc. These dogs suffer from gland issues, ear issues, and for food, are recommended dry stuff, although my one loves a good chinese on a friday :-) If local, I could be so tempted to have one, as I know my boy has about a year left in him. But, if honest, the next dog I get will be a stick fetching, roll over and play dead dog type, as although I love my dog and he cant be replaced, the dog warden / police issues, dog fights, other dog owner punch ups, well , I would prefer a more easier time :-) So, please, look beyond the cute, furry little devil, and research the breed. If its for you, then you will have a loving friend by your side for ever. Also, research the dangerous dog acts, there are 2 of them. The police kept of trying to get me using these rules, but they dont cover private properties. Any dog that bites or protects himself in public areas can be taken and distroyed by the police. Police hate akita's ! SBK
  9. Ive already got one :-) A 96' facelift black, Rz tt auto. Had it for over 6 years now, used it to drive to work and back. Done 100K miles in the beauty, and it has never broken down or gone wrong. Ive just signed it over to my brother, as Im now into 4x4's and M3's SBK
  10. Well i didnt know that. Live and learn. Thanks :-) SBK
  11. Hi, lovely car. Quick question, ITs a 96' but on a W plate ??? SBK
  12. Hi all, Driver's side caliper has completely siezed, warping disk. So, I need a driver's side JDM caliper, and a set of JDM disks, i.e. not the uk bigger disk type. Im about to sniff out the price using Steve MAnley, but out of interest has anyone got these parts here ? Also, perhaps this is a time to upgrade up to the Mkiv UK type brakes ? IF so, anyone got a set of those ? Cheers SBK Worthing, Sussex
  13. Hi all, The mid section / 2rd cat replace pipe on my mkiv tt was split and I need a new one. Ive got a NUR Spec rear section, and removed the 2rd cat, and its that section there. CAn anyone help me out ? Cheers SBK Worthing, Sussex
  14. Blonde / fit have nothing to do with catching herpes. The point is that although you think your safe / careful, the partner your with could be putting you at risk, by playing around. In the example I gave, the poor girl was young and suffered due to her ponce of an ex-boyfriend. You cant get rid of herpes, different types, but on the whole, effects are just like the cold sores on your lips on your face. 99% of STD cant be seen, so unless the person tells you, how would you know until too late ? Anyway, I wouldnt complain. Wouldnt bother me. SBK
  15. Ive currently got two pajero's. 1 x 2.5 SWB and 1 x 2.8 LWB. Older model than yours though. That model has the 3.2 did diesel. Now, if you want me to bore you about these cars / trucks I will, but on the whole very reliable and good value. Was going to upgrade to a 3.2 SWB Warrior, but will wait until the price comes down. The 3.2 engines are louder than the 2.8, but have more torque. Also, the 3.2 has direct injection, and although you can still use veg oil in them, you cant at the same ratio you can in a 2.5 / 2.8. I would also imagine that the 3.2 has a cam chain. If your going to buy one, lots around, dont rush into the first one. SOme people hate imports, but not me, all the same to be honest, and I prefer the JDM light clusters. Here are some good web sites. http://www.pocuk.com/forums/ - Lots of info, some good guys there http://www.milneroffroad.com/Pajero.htm - Parts supplier Overall, good solid truck, not a landcruiser amazon though, but pound for pound, very good.
