If your BOV is not recirculation style then take it off and put back standard one. vvti have maf sensors and they dont like classic bovs. Paul Whiffin wrote somewhere (cant find that topic now) that definitely not recommended on the VVTi cars.

ok. i have done my homework! now i know that i was looking on wrong RP gear oils. According to Royal Purple web site "Synchromax is recommended for manual transmissions that specify an automatic transmission fluid" http://www.royalpurpleconsumer.com/products/synchromax-manual-transmission-fluid/

Which oil grade do you use guys in V160/V161? There is plenty in Royal Purple offert, from something normal like 75w90 up to 75w140 Or maybe Motul Gear 300 is another option?

I will say go for fzs1000. you can pick one for around 2 - 2.5k Plenty of power good handling and good on mpg. I have one from 2005 my girlfriend have 2002. Very good for travelers. We use it for holidays (Hungary, Czech Republic, Poland, Scotland, England), weekend and daily.

Driving to Switzerland and back - Headlight position?

Just buy headlight conversion stickers from ebay and job done. Last september I took my car for eurotrip UK - Croatia 4k miles in two weeks. police stopped me in Germany and Slovakia and they check if I have those stickers on headlights. Policeman in Germany told me that he can give me fine for not having them. -
that's just Lexus IS220 2006-2008 L6 gearbox. type "GHHGBGEG gearbox" in google and you will see.

8k is quite expensive in my opinion for 1993 tt auto. especially that I spot on Garage Whifbitz facebook page that they have a TT vvti auto from 2000 for 7750 Ł with some nice extras.
