  1. Keep getting 4 lights appear on my 94 na j spec. The battery symbol the one to the right of it the orange exclamation mark and the oil light. There are no other obvious problems like lack of power electrical or mechanical. They do seem to go off under harsh acceleration but then come on again a few minutes later. Any ideas what this could be?
  2. Problem solved! I feel like a tit, checked all the bolts and managed to Tighten the top caliper bolt about an eighth of a turn and its cured it. Thanks for the input.
  3. Thanks guys. Its a j spec. I travel up ahd down the motorway so if the disc wasnt seated correctly surely there would be massive vibration which there isnt at any speed. Ive checked all bolts etc and there all tight.
  4. Recently changed front discs and pads and now have a knocking noise from the front left when I go over the slightest bump. Also knocks when I literally just touch the brake pedal. when I changed the pads there was no anti rattle springs but ive never heard this knock before. Is it likely to be the lack of these or maybe drop links? Any help is greatly appreciated.
  5. Lol. Predictive text, should of been land line.
  6. I rang his landmine number, he answered straight away.
  7. Just checked everythings tight, terminals fine too altho covered in oil. I guess its not likely to be a fuse.
  8. Yeah got home and left it 5 mins doesnt even click now.
  9. Just been out in the na and was running fine, then I noticed the steering go heavy the oil light and abs light came on aswell as the orange box. Stopped straight away and turned it off. Tried to start only for it to click and not turn over. Tried again 10 minutes later started fine with no lights. For about 2 minutes! This time I carried on driving, now the engine runs fine but the clocks are all over the place the dash clock isnt illuminated and I have the same 3 lights. Power steering is also extremely heavy and the windows and wipers opperate but extremely slowly. Also takes a while to pull away being an auto. Im thinking something to do with the alternater but then im no mechanic! Any ideas?
  10. Yeah think Im gonna take it off the road and do it properly. Gonna miss driving it though
  11. Only other rust is a couple of spots on rear arches no other damage. I was just being optimistic as I want a tt.
  12. Not sure if im in the right section, wondering what I should ask for a 94 Na aerotop, standard other than a cat back exhaust and panel filter. Body work is faded and has the usual stone chips and the sills will need patching up for mot which runs out in june. At the minute the car is matt black original paint is silver. Service history is extensive and complete. Belts where done around 40 000 miles ago. Biggest downfall is mileage which is 350 000 kilometers, around 250 000 miles. Any input would be appreciated, thanks in advance.
  13. Cheers guys, problem is I have an aerotop and cant afford a tt aerotop. Hence the conversion route.
  14. Looking into changing my na to a Turbo. Not sure what route to go, so any advice would be most appreciated. Do I just transplant a twin turbo lump. Or an na t kit or a 7m GTE? Or even a Lexus v8 conversion. Just wondered what the easiest cheapest option is if anyone our there has experience in doing this. Thanks in advance.
  15. That's only round brum. It's all good round Leicester area.
  16. I'd be interested in this if not too far.
  17. Anybody know about a possible Paul Walker tribute this Sunday, just off j22 of the m1. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  18. It only took 12.5 litres mate and I did eight coats. Save a few pennies and get the 15 litre kit.
  19. Can be done, wouldn't use eBay tho! It's a little more indepth if your going metallic.
  20. Everyone to their own! Personally I think it looks great band as I drive it that's all that counts! Also everyone that's seen it in the flesh has commented how good it looks. And as its not permanent I can change whenever I feel like it.
  21. Not as cheap as peeling lacquer and faded paint!!
