sold 1995 UK Spec Big Single Turbo 800+ 6spd Manual
Kendo11 replied to Sheefa's topic in Supra Classifieds
Stunning car - I was looking through Jakes pics of the NEC and this one caught my eye. GLWS -
Thanks for sharing mate. I think for the Supra to maintain the status it has at the moment it really needs to be tunable, something akin to the current 'freak of nature' 2jz will go down well. Said it before though - will believe it when I see it.

Oddly enough I am doing two designs - one of which is going to be similar to the carshopglow ones posted above haha. I've already got the larger full circuit boards to do them. The second design I'm keeping under wraps at the moment

Seen comments/rumours doing the rounds on twitter this morning (sources are leading QCs, not your average Joe) that the Government wants to contend that Article 50 is revocable. If it is deemed "so clearly revocable" it could mead that it would inevitably lead to removal of rights as deemed by Parliament. Interesting stuff, all unlikely though. Check TL of Sir Paul Jenkins for more info. Good points, the Bundys militias armed to the teeth protesting were treated entirely differently to Native American pipeline protestors. Also on protesting, people absolutely have a right to do so. The way SOME of them are going about it won't solve anything, it'll only embolden Trump.

Think I spotted a dirty patch on one of those pictures mate Immaculate as always -
Lol! I'm not digging those lights Nic. I have split these ones now after all this haha, going to try a new design over winter.

Erm, 31st of October... As unreliable as exit polls are, I'll trust their data more than that for the time being.
-
Two part, his co-republicans started to back away from him, and latest results show Clinton won much of the so called 'popular' vote. What does that say though? Couple that with the fact he's barely got any seriously thought out policies I think it suggests he's won an ideological vote based on his views. I doubt front row fans at his speeches would openly wear "make America white again" if not for the language and terms he's used. I agree the some of the fault (same as the rise of Farage, Le Pen, Wilders etc) is down to the opposition & the mainstream system being useless and leaving people feeling completely detached from it. Totally agree. I can't agree that this has been a protest vote against the establishment though, more so than something more ideological.
-
Not half no, the percentage split hasn't worked like that. I think it's naive to think that a large proportion of people who've voted for Trump have done so just because they don't like the system, as opposed to his openly and well documented bigoted/sexist/derogatory views. The man has stood up on record and openly shared these views, the proof has come straight from the horses mouth.
-
I disagree. I'd say the overriding reasons for his victory in the (key) midwest, and rustbelt states are due to the fact that certain beliefs in those areas are still rife and he's appealed to that. There's too much he's stood up and said, and done, and been caught saying (not just in this campaign but over the past couple of decades) for central voters to have decided he's the least worst option.
-
I wouldn't say the Brexit vote was as overt in it's connotations as much as Trump has been. He, and his supporters, haven't even tried to gloss over or hide it.
-
See above, either you've misread or I didn't term it properly.
-
So Trump has not been xenophobic? Ah I see, you've misread. The remarks about the campaign are about Trump, not Brexit. I was referring to that in my criticism of Corbyn.
-
Absolutely. Far right is becoming mainstream. Corbyn has released a statement saying that this is a rejection of establishment politics, that's makes as much sense as people voting Brexit thinking they were "sticking it to the man". It's a victory that's been won on the rise of bigotry, sexism, xenophobia, and lies, and people applaud that as if it's a good thing.

Few updated pics from the weekend. - OEM bumper retainer bars now fitted so the outer edges meet the wings correctly. - Front plate fitted into plate holder. - Overspray on the tyres sorted out. I have a few jobs planned over winter pending on whether I keep it or not. As per the first post I will continue working through my jobs list while I have the car. More pictures to be added later this weekend. https://qduzrw-bn1305.files.1drv.com/y3m31Sy1mflNBfvhNzGWpFN-E84ZREtiipdKL8RV2g-h5y9IqGbzgtjJ2c2pl6eJMT7Yggmoj9tbA_faUN82YTOMqc7QaZXP0B1jC5VICVtn11GPHNhp9CUCUZuAQ5LASoaxtIl_5-LmqTJk0KSnKoY9fnFvxRTeLab3VQJa1ijX34?width=4160&height=3120&cropmode=none https://fwsgxw-bn1305.files.1drv.com/y3mkELx6TLOIkpq0RK3EFkZifAk14_XSzhNV2PAn4JDSxUHOVT0i9AhmG78AGmE-XFgj9e6sgbIJEEWXRPuuJE0olbWhYmMErqi4wot0E0CBOoV_YSqKp9uAkyDlNvoCPzivIpVn-szgS2tCFDBRI9EDXn1zup7T5lz_Y6zsa6i0GY?width=4160&height=3120&cropmode=none https://fwtr6g-bn1305.files.1drv.com/y3mGAt0pL4CTU5BlRZN3jd1eMFt-K7V-gJHhsGczEbYHtg_QmT2gjN98YK5j6FMdfY1nQKl1C-cAwj2LGdSogC8w9p3jNcdw5undDw5PWBGtowVOEJ0RS3zj4uctLurkdKr1lSjNkDckyfU3-SRFBBdOgRDyKTayCnobjg4fnt_ltw?width=4160&height=3120&cropmode=none https://fwvjlg-bn1305.files.1drv.com/y3mT7joyNB4v0yxvEI6fkR03vWdAwn3KC-M0JudZwdurlecfxgWazzjMwo__aN4yqAafixzDPSiq5l6dAf3EVBcTkzRsxNeI6aTTEfYdCqesnzeW7CfEpyc6kryuxm1tv7-9JkmrZB4MuYs2a6LUYTHhu1rudGr2Jn1VvUH12Vlgyc?width=4160&height=3120&cropmode=none Using my ancient work computer so the pictures won't embed correctly - will sort that later.

Wanted; pre face-lift rear lights. Don't need the looms and actually only need the drivers side, my outer plastic lens has been smashed. Will take a pair if the price is right but ideally just need the one. Price + postage please.

Maybe true, likely true. I think there are some of them with a desire to fix it though. Certain problems are coming home to roost, and disadvantaged people dying left right and centre is something I doubt all of them want. I'm sure one of the politicians around the world would love to be the one who comes up with the answer to the problem of the system. That was on another thread, which has been replied to. Take your tablets and keep up.

The system as it is, both here in the UK and US and elsewhere is broken. I watched 'Hypernormalisation' recently (it's on BBC iPlayer) and it really hits the nail on the head in saying that the people at the top know everything is broken but absolutely no one has any idea how to fix it, so we just continue towards the abyss. (there are a few good sections explaining Syria, Russia, Trump and so on. I really really recommend it). I don't think there is a simple or easy solution, changing a few things here and there won't work. There's an online book here that you can read for free, by one of the founders of the 'Occupy' movement, that has some good ideas: https://georgiebc.wordpress.com/2013/05/24/binding-chaos/ But there are no easy, simple answers.

Article 50 can't be triggered before a parliamentary vote??
Kendo11 replied to Chris Wilson's topic in Off Topic
I think the uni/degree discussion is a separate one to be honest, the worthiness of having a degree has been in question for years, separate to brexit. The fees are such now that I wouldn't be able to go to uni, I'm glad I did when I did but it has little revelance to the job I do now. I know receptionists, shop assistants, administration workers and so on who are working in roles a world away from their degree. I interviewed several staff for a part time admin position about 10 months ago and 75% of them had degrees. For a part time admin position! My local MP. A large bag of excrement to be honest and I'm glad he's gone. Works 1700 hours a year as a barrister earning around £750,000 and yet still claimed expenses and voted to cut ESA for the disadvantaged in this area. Then when people complained he said it was because of envy... Missed that sorry. I work in part of a large PLC supplying building materials. Redundancies across our group and many of the other more well known ones. Looking at around 2000 redundancies by the end of the year all in all across the industry. -
If anyone thinks Trump is the better option you need your bloody head examining, seriously.
