Hi, has anybody got or do they know where i can get some lovely glowing and pulsing HT leads???(they pulse blue as the spark travels down the lead!!!) No its not for my Supra (you may know that ive sold her) but its for a project imworking on to build a custom bike and i have seen that some blokes in the staes have them on there bikes, and thought it would go down nicly with my project bike, Any help would be very much apriciated........................ PS working again so only a few months before i get back in a Supe!!!!!

MMM, thanks mate this helps alot, it looks like you use the rad capto bleed it??????? is this what you think or am i looking at it wrong!!!

Can ANyone help, i have done a search on the site about changing the radiator fluid (mine is a bit brown), all the info is there but can anyone tell me if there is a rad bleed screw, and if so where is it, I have air in the system at the moment, (i can hear it) i got rid of most but there is still some in it>? Other cars ive used to own had rad bleed screws at the highest point of the cooling system, is there one on the supra (mkiv tt by the way). Any advise? or help?

lovatt, Doh! Im such a F$%^ing idiot, ive just taken the car out for a run to see if the new pipe worked on my BOV, and no! lights still came on, this time i noticed it alot more, and YES its the brake light warning light, i never had a chance to see it before cause i was looking ahead!, doh DOh and fugging Doh!, fuliud was on MIN, toped up fluid and Ta Da, no more lights!!!!!!, I feel a right plank, oh well at least its not my HKS BOV! Phew, I didnt think it would be the brake light as i just had the UK brake conversion done with 5.1 Fluid so thought it was full, Obviously NOT.......... I think i should be the only member today to honestly say....

Okay, I fitted a induction kit, a while ago, no problem, Ive now fitted a HKS SQV BOV in place of the stock item a couple of days ago, and the car feels faster/quicker, this could have been because the old stock bov pipes where leaking, anyway, i have had the red Triangle and red circle warning lights come on a couple of times, under hard acceleration or quick squirts of power, the car dosent cut out or stall, but after 3 secs or so the lights go out! (its an 93 auto mkiv TT by the way) any idea's what will be causing this, the only thing i noticed was that the small pipe ontop of the bov came off, i replaced it last night and again the lights came on, this time the pipe was still on, i have replaced the pipe again today with one more like the thing i took off incase the new one was more restritive, than the old. Anyway is this likly to be related to the HKS BOV, or has the increse in boost (from no more leaks) caused the ecu to cut power (or something like that), any advise or ideas .......... failing that i think ill stick it back to stock!!!! rather have a happy car that a moaning one!!! or is it completely unrelated and i should look else where1 Cheers Jamie

Yeah its next on the list with FCD Boost controler and HKS super drager!!!!! but maybe a intercooler pipe set first!

Ive just fitted my new HKS BOV replacing the stock one!, The car is running better, feels like more power????? This cant be cant it?, a freind who is into his cars said it might be the fact that the old hoses and stock bov where losing boost from a leak due to age?? the old pipes split v easy when it came off , the old hose was very britil!!!!!! anyway i dont care it feels better, if anyone has had similiar results would be nice to hear from you, or if someone can confirm this ????, cool:baa:

update, that switch is linked to the other set of lights, (well one of them,) ill check the bulb of the duff one, maybe he only linked up 1, cool!, I take it you dont nead to bake lights to replace the bulb:p , just undo the black panel inside the boot right? J:stupid:

Thanks, ill have a better look today, the fog light switch on the stauke thing only operates the front fogs, but i do have a switch, (small round one) where most people have there fold in mirror button, maybe thats it, ive never tried it as i always thought it was the remains of a JDM alarm system! MMMMMM ......... thanks ill have a go! ...................................... Look at technical later under "found this switch and................":p

MMM intresting, i have a J spec, and only one set lights up when i brake, or turn the lights on is this right?, is the other red light a reflector, and is it easy to convert into a brake light?, Also why isnt there a fog light at the rear????? i thought you needed one for MOT/SVA ? questions question question !!!!!

Dude what are the brakes for?, Track? or Road? I fitted the Uk brakes to my Jap car and there isnt a car that has outbraked me yet, and the disc's are solid with the vents in the middle, But if your after track stuff then yeah Brembo Cross drilled are v good, i use AP on my bike and always get the back end in the air?????? and dont have any warping problems!

You and me both mate, All my experiance is from bikes, these twin turbo intercooled, bov sqv fcd, blitz controler hks exhaust, GT051, air induction supras etc etc etc....... are all a bit much for me sometimes, But i find that if a ask enough people, the answer allways wiggles its way to the top, as with bikes lots of people know how it works but only a few of them owen them and win races on them...... etc........

Fight Fight Fight Fight...... OK, ive spoken to a couple of chaps who started out with stock cars like myself, it seems the BOV can now be heard because, the stock air filter has been replaced, the noise i hear is probaly alot quiter than a propper BOV, however when you come off the power the bov reserculate's and before it couldnt be heard (the Guru's words not mine) because its like having a rag stuffed into a trumpet (stock airbox) and then removing the Rag (new filter), so now when you blow back or presure release, its all down to the lack of sound deadening............. Me thinks i opened a tin of worms!

Thanks for all the advice, i think Matt has got a point, there is more induction noise (a little) you can hear the turbos spool up more and there is a defenate sucking noise, but after i take my foot off the power, there is a big Ptshhhhh, at first i thought it was air sucking from the filter but if your off the power, errrr throttle body is closed so there should be no intake noise, but i can here the ptshh noise, if fact has anyone seen get away in stockholm 2???? the red escort cossie ??? makes the same noise as my car! when he comes off the power you can here the preasure release which i thought was his BOV, Anyway i going the drive mongo style today, and see if i can live with the noise!!!! and i should get a chance to see if there is a power diff, Thanks Agian youve all been very helpful!

Cool, i can live with that, I have to wait and see if the noise drives me La La! okay at the mo! anyone else about the power drop, is it me??? I see Scooter said the engine could take to much air! Is this possible, i thought it would only draw in the air it needed?, I have left the bottom air scoop thing'y in,, from the old air box, i did this so that in the heat some cool air would get in while going trough slow traffic?, Cheers

Following on from a previous thread on how to clean my filter, i have and i have now fitted it to my car, the following has ocured is this normal, (the car is standard except the induction kit by the way, rest still to come) there is a little more turbo spool sound, It dosent seem to pick up any quicker in fact it did seem a bit down on power, (but that could be me:stupid: ) Also when i lift off the power, theres a big Ptshhhhhhhhhht noise, is this the stock BOV? every thing else is ok, can anybody confirm that these are normal noises, and dose it really effect power output either way, (HKS Dragger comming, HKS BOV SQV comming and FCD and boost controler still to get) or do i have to wait and fit other bits to get the real benafit from the induction? Any comments welcome Thanks

MMMM, I Guess, but im sure these are like the bike filters K/N do, which is a quick rince in warm water, Let it dry, and then reoil, You shouldnt have to replace the eliment unless it has holes or crack's but i could be wrong, (or its oem) anyway i ll do the warm water thing if no one else chips in and see what happens, And if it goes T*Ts up then i guess its a new Filter........ thanks for the advise... -
I have bought a secondhand Apexi Induction Kit!, Its in good nic but in need of a clean, Im getting the K/N oil for cleaning it but is there a right way and a wrong way to clean these filters? I dont wana end up with a oil soaked filter, Also how do i get the initial dirt off before i reoil it??? Water:stupid: ????? any help appriciated, im sure someone has cleaned a 1,000, 000 mile !!!!!!!filter!

I Run 31 rear 30 front, on cold tires, as they heat up air expands blah blah blah, and a little soft means mors grip! when there hot.... never use recomended psi unless its long distance!

MM me thinks ill let someone else do it!!!, So its an overboost chip then, ok!, anything else, I saw the turbo timer but is it neccesary? I thought they only kept the car running when you switched it off, so as not too F^&K up your turbos, Will i need to set a max boost!, ..... will it really boost that high on stock turbos and the mods im making! but if needs must then I guess ill get one! is HKS the best? Ah £95 quid, Can i fit it myself or is it something that needs a Pro, also what dose it do???
