  1. Which car park is it? Managed to get completely lost lol
  2. Looking forward to this since I came last year, can actually bring the supra this time [emoji108]
  3. Yet another vote for http://www.camskill.co.uk cheapest online by about £60 for the tires i bought the other week
  4. Would definitely be interested in this, surprised there isn't more interest
  5. If it was sold it would have the prefix sold updated next to the post? And the owner has only put it up for sale an hour ago so its probably still there till at least the morning. You'll probably save more than the £10 membership by purchasing a car of another member with the added bonus of knowing its enthusiast owned. Integration with a knowledgeable community is never going to hurt but that's your choice
  6. Thank you, must admit I spend far to much time just reading on here lol but it will pay of I'm sure. Thankfully a couple mates like them as much as I do, but they are a while of getting one haha. Iv always been dedicated to what I want, never satisfied unless i get it so hopefully will one day have a build thread as impressive as some of the ones on here lol. Couldn't agree more about people my age squandering their futures, I'm working 3 jobs, doing a degree and just got into a relationship whilw they cant be bothered to get out of bed in the morning, what a waste of a life! Sounds good, ill hopefully be at the February one if i can book it off work tonight, will be nice to socialize with some members
  7. Iv only been to one and that was at the beginning of last year, since then iv worked every Friday , might try and book February off, would like to meet some other members properly and finally take the supra to a meet. Sounds exactly like what i wanna do, just enjoy the car as much as possible. would really like to do some supra days out and that Thank you, gradually learning
  8. Cheers mate, the long term plan is to keep her as a clean unmolested example with a few creature comforts/mods and get a TT6 eventually aswell, hopefully within the next 3 years by the time i finish my degree
  9. I must admit I haven't enjoyed this weather, lack of experience worries me to be frank about it. At least its nice she has good taste in cars, too many women drivers don't! multicar polices are the only way I can think of getting a nice first car without spending a fortune sadly, not in the same league but there are those Toyota starlet 1.3, at least its something different and has potential as a project if that's something she'd be interested in? no idea about insurance though I must admit I'm fortunate how cheap the policy is, they wanted about 7K on my own at 18, I'm dreading leaving home and the policy haha, Recently got a new job so hopefully ill be taking it to as many as i can, really fancy Japfest and Trax, need to research some more shows but hopefully be going to some. would like to go bluewater again but I work friday nights at my other job sadly. I'v been watching your project, interesting to read and like the plans, an a big fan of the rear bumper, don't see to many of those. what about yourself? planning on taking it to many shows/meets? would like to see it in person at some point if you go the Bluewater meets?
  10. Well now iv got 18 months no claims the supra only came in at around £1,200 which at my age is nothing for the car you get, yeah its ridiculous, basically any half decent looking car is impractical to get insured on at 18 unless you go through a parent, then you get the headache about the legality and fronting ect.. Cheers, havent seen yours about for a while, hopefully tucked up for the winter and ill see her more when the weather improves
  11. Cheers mate To be honest its because I'm on a multicar policy, I learned in a 2.0 celica and it only cost me about £1100 to insure in my first year vs my mates 1.4 corsa which was bout £2,500 for him to insure. its ludicrous the cost for new drivers but all you've got to do is watch the majority of them just drive out of seevic and you can see why, too many idiots at that age! Peugeot 206 and MK6 fiestas are supposed to be pretty good, know a few people with them and the insurance wasn't too bad as far as I'm aware, corsa's are pretty terrible to insure from what i could tell
  12. Got the Wheels back from being refurbished, all protected with Gtechniq Wheel Armour, pretty pleased with how they came out and 4 new continental contact 5's
  13. Welcome, http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=35038&d=1147109846 is a very useful guide on here about what are the important factors to check out. there are several guides that are worth reading really from my limited knowledge, If your looking for power then a N/A wont be much good as it is very limited and in the long run the money improving it would be better spent on getting a TT in the first place. If i recall correctly then the stock internals are good for around the 600bhp mark on a TT, though its the torque figures that kills gearboxes. A lot of people seem content with BPU which is around the 400bhp mark I'm sure someone who's is a lot more knowledgeable than me will be along before too long, but either way, Welcome

    Tyre Help

Think it was on a porsche boxster and a astra vxr quoting around that mark i think. Its an N/A and it is driven pretty sensibly, I know iv got no experience with rwd so don't want to write it off lol had a few accidental skids already. Thanks that website is cheaper than others iv found, come in almost perfectly on budget too and the ratings are encouraging too I Assume from a quick Google that the "OE Mercedes" wont result in any adverse affects? That's reassuring cheers, i think driving style is a very big factor

    Tyre Help

Hi, I'm going to be replacing the tires when the wheels go in for a refurbishment but am looking for recommendation for tires. I have a budget of about £500, the wheels will be going back on the car when the weather improves but being reliable is obviously important in this country Profiles are: 225/35/18 225/40/18 Thanks in advance Max
  25. Little update, Got new rear shocks and boot rubber fitted, Christ what a differance 4 bits of rubber make, also got a HKS Hi-power Silent the other week. As it arrived then after a polish Fitting Finished Plans for the winter and to get the driver rear quarter resprayed as its had a scrape for the past 10 years and possibly get both bumpers done aswell, get a sub for the sound system and maybe a new radio, wheels refurbished and new tyres all round, looks like a lot of overtime is going to be needed
