  1. MARK part numbers and prices for what? The rebuild or the oil? TERMINATOR So do you think this oil will be ok? Is it possible for me to flush the system completly before i install the box back on the car?
  2. Hi people, Ive just had a complete re-seal and change of clutch packs on my 1994 uk auto box. I was always led to believe that you should only ever use the Toyota fluid in the box. When i asked what fluid he had prepped all the parts in during rebuilding. He had used Dexron 3E and filled the box with this after the work had been done. He assured me that the dexron is better than the Toyota fluid and im worrying about nothing. Ive searched on this subject alot over the weekend. Im very worried now! Any input much appreciated
  3. Recently took my engine out due to severe knocking. Turned out I had spun a bearing and cracked my crank. My piston to bore clearance was 8 thou so I have been getting quite a bit of oil past the pistons and into the turbo’s. To my problem: I’ve been looking at the turbo’s today and there seems to be excessive play on the impellor wheel shafts on both turbo’s. These turbo’s were reconditioned units from Universal turbo’s and have covered between 5 and 6 thousand miles. Neither have they been driven hard! But I can imagine the oil getting into them has not been doing them any good! Unfortunately they are out of there warranty. The play on the shafts is not enough for the blades to start catching the housing side walls but its dam close to them. What are my options? can the bearings be changed only or is it a bit more complicated than that? Any help would be much appreciated as I need to find the cheapest but correct solution. My Short Block is going to set me back £2000 for a start Scott
  4. thats your MAF (Jap spec Mass Air Flow) sensor or AFM (Uk Spec Air Flow Meter) You cant get rid else your ECU wont know how much air is going in. I not 100% sure on this but with aftermarket ECU's there are ways round it, but dont quote me as im not an expert.
  5. ok, ill park it bang in the middle of the scoobynet boys n show em a real car!
  6. I will be there on sunday in 1995 Veilside TT UK. Convoying down from M1 Leicester Forest East Services (Junc 21) at 9:00am (Meeting at 8:30) Will be travelling down with about 15-20 scoobys so where do i go when they park up in the subaru owners section???
  7. STEVE W I’ve had aftermarket exhausts on other cars before and most of them needed the brackets bending and various other mods to make them fit. was just impressed by the quality of the system and how easy it fitted. Ok so it hangs down slightly (a lot!) but nice to see all that shinny stainless steel from the back of the car eh! TRD3000GT I get it now. I have the cat back system then (Two pieces) OUTATIME I mentioned your comments down the local last night and was promptly told "he's taking the piss Scott" Good call! Cheers for all your comments people! Happy Boostin !
  8. TRD3000GT Am i to take it that "non cat back" is just the back box or does that mean without the cats in place? I have a boost gauge (forgot to mention!) was boosting at 0.7 have seen it go to 0.9 a couple of times since fitting the system. OUTATIME 37.3 BHP sounds an awfull lot for just an exhaust with the cats still in place. where did you sorce that information from, i hope its true!!!! :)
  9. Just fitted my shinny new Blitz Nur spec cat back system at the weekend! Must say that’s one impressive piece of equipment. Built perfectly and fitted like a glove, sounds awesome! Anyway, I was wondering what sort of BHP gains would I be looking at getting from this Mod?? I have left the cats in place and have no other modifications, apart from a HKS SSQV. Would it be more beneficial for me to get an aftermarket induction system to get the air flowing a bit more freely? Or will that not make any BHP gains on top of the gains I get with the system itself? Cheers, Scott.
  10. thanks for the info Bobbeh I will give it a shot!
  11. Ive got the supra specific kit. Just seems to be a lot of little pipes n clips with it and would like to make sure i get it right. Cheers for the reply Scott
  12. Just got my HKS Super Sequential Blow Off Valve but the installation manual is all in Japanese!!! Does anyone have this manual in English at all or know a link to where I could find it. Thanx all Scott UK
  13. Thanks for the replys guys. Although i imagine your advice is the right advice i am sort of stuck with 19's as i ordered (and paid for!) a set of Blitz Technospeed Z1's in march and am just about to take delivery of them next week! If anyone has any other info i would be glad to hear from u. Just for information purposes here is the set up i will be running 19x9 255/30/19 Fronts with 42 offset 19x10 275/30/19 Rears with 45 offset I will not be lowering the car. oh well, looks like im in for a bumpy ride!!!! Thanks again Scott
  14. Hi All Does anyone know why the Supe has different profile tyres for the front and the back? Think Factory fittment is 40's on the front and 45's on the rear. Why did they do this? My reason for asking is that im going onto 19's soon and was going to order 30 profile tyres all round but am worried that im might screw up the geometry!! Thanx Scott
  15. soz, was only trying to help.
  16. Not so sure about fitment of 18's but I know that the UK brakes need a 42 offset on the front to clear them on 19's. On import models with the smaller callipers you can go 45 offset. A guy called Steve Jarvis on http://www.supraforums.com is the god when it comes to supra wheel fitments He has created a spreadsheet supra wheel fitment guide. Take a look, its very good. http://www.geocities.com/steve_jarvis_me/Fitment.xls (cut and paste this link into browser) Ps, Remeber that he is in america so his figures are based on smaller brake calipers. PM him on supraforums and he will be glad to help i imagine.
  17. Got my Blitz Technospeed Z1's coming late May. I’m having 19X9 Front 42 Offset 255/30/19 Pirelli P Zero Rosso 19X10 Rear 45 offset 275/30/19 Pirelli P Zero Rosso According to my sources those sizes will not rub with the factory suspension. I CANT WAIT!!!!
  18. Sorry about my ignorance guys It’s a bit late now but hi to everyone on the board anyways Bought my sup last year, decided to rebuild the engine and compliment her with a full Veilside body kit, and a change of colour. Im just waiting for my 19" Blitz technospeeds now. Hope to see you all at some meets this summer (If my engine ever gets sorted) Thanks for your replies on my subject.
  19. My car has had a full engine rebuild due to both turbo’s being damaged. The stock intercooler was full of oil when it was removed so I drained it as much as I could. After doing a 1000 miles running in period, I have developed 2 problems 1, Front crank shaft oil seal (being fixed in the next few days) 2, I have noticed oil around the two big pipes going into either side of the BOV which has also dripped down onto the Turbo's heatsheild. I pulled off the intercooler pipe on the turbo side and there seems to be a slight oil residue around the piping. Checked the throttle side pipe and that is as dry as a bone. Can anyone shine a light on this problem? Could there be any oil left in the intercooler that is blowing back up to the turbo's? Is this possible? I did a search and found that changing the clips on the BOV pipes would stop them leaking but surely there shouldn’t be any oil going through the BOV anyway? Should there? Thanks Scott
