  1. looks like im just going to have to make my own mind up on this one. Got a few more important things to buy so i might just leave it TBH. If its not going to make my supe fly them £200 could be spent better elsewhere Cheers for your replys people. Scott
  2. Ian, i forgot to mention that my engine is in peices all over the garage floor. Head is fully stripped anway, thats why i wondered if i should have the port and polish done whilst its all out and stripped down. Cheers Scott
  3. Chesman Motorsport said they will do this for around 200! What’s the Cams thing all about then? I’m intrigued? Could have sworn I remember reading that HKS cams make your car idle like a sack of shit. Is this right? How much for a set of HKS cams, what are the advants/disadvants of running these at BPU? So I cant get any takers who are ‘for’ the port and polish?? Scott
  4. Hi all, Does anybody have any info in respect of having my Head Ported and Polished? I know where I’m going to have it done but i need some reassurance before I go through with it! I will be at BPU with a Front Mount. Don’t want to run anything over 1.2bar (1bar daily use) My mods will be (when rebuilt) Full de cat, Nur Spec, FCD, MBC/EBC (Can’t make mind up on that one) and a 3 Row. My car is a UK (Leave it dude!!!) Auto Any input of advantages/disadvantages and also things I should be wary off would help me a lot. Thanks Scott
  5. gotta get it done for the summer dude! Anyway, Hijack over! Let us know lee how that 1st de cat sounds! Scott
  6. Easy Lee, never mind that de cat pipe! get that bloody body kit on and show us some nice pics!!! Scott
  7. I have a full NUR with 2nd cat removed. There was hardly any difference in sound when I removed 2nd cat. This is a lovely sounding system. I’ve had sooooooo many compliments on how good it sounds. I really wouldn’t say that it drones on motorway runs. I’m going to take the 1st cat out soon but I’m not sure what the difference in the sound will be after doing this. I can’t wait to try it though! Anyone comment on the differences (with and without 1st cat) would be appreciated. Get a Nur Spec and Enjoy!!!!!!! Scott
  8. Me Me Me Me Me Me Me Please Please Please! http://mercury.walagata.com/w/sward42/sig1.JPG
  9. ha ha! Ye Got Me! I'll pass on that one dude, I know whats under the Hood!
  10. naaa, That'll be the UK owners Turbos Whinning as they blow past ya! :p :p
  11. your pissed cause i flamed your beloved J-Spec. I was jus messin dude. Com-on, help me out here?
  12. I have a full nur spec with the blitz second cat removal pipe. I tied my sensor up as was nowhere to put it. I was told that the second sensor is just a cat temp sensor and is not needed. Admittedly, my engine is in pieces now due to a spun bearing and cracked crank. I would not say that the two are related! At least I hope not! I will say that on inspection of my internals (Pistons, valves mainly) there was a major build up of carbon even though the engine had only done 5000miles since a full rebuild. Could the car have been Over/under fuelling due to this sensor sending incorrect signals to my ecu, causing a build up of carbon on everything? Im not an expert when it comes to fuelling.. . . . . . . . .Anyone care to add to this?
  13. Ok try this, Go Here http://www.geocities.com/steve_jarvis_me/ Then click on SUPRA WHEEL FITMENT GUIDE. Will prompt u to download.
  14. Try this, very very helpful! Its from the American Supraforum. http://www.geocities.com/steve_jarvis_me/Fitment.xls
  15. I never realised we had seat belt warning lights? Must be cause im a good boy and wear mine 24-7
  16. This is how I did it. Remembering that I am auto I imagine there might be differences if you have a manual. At the gearbox end of the secondary sump pan (the bigger ally one) there is a black rubber cover about 5-6 inches long and about 3-4 inches high. Take this out and it will reveal the torque converter. as you turn the engine over by the pulley you will see some bolts on the back of the torque converter that bolt it to the flywheel. I wedged a massive screwdriver between the bolt and the side of the hole what the rubber came out of. Obviously this needs two people to do this. Hope this helps Scott
  17. The work was carried out by The Mechanical Workshop Littlethorpe Leicester They also do Turbos too.
  18. That makes me feel a little easier! Thanks for the good advice people! i think i wil just flush it out and put the toyota stuff in. BTW is it possible to flush the box fully without installing it back on to the car?
  19. Cost me 525+ VAT for a complete re-seal and clutch packs changed. Dont know if that was too expensive or not??? Im worried now that if i flush the system the will still be some dexron left in there. Apparently the toyota fluid does not under any circumstances mix well with other fluids??? Im very lost with this one!!!! Scott.
  20. I find the nur quiet with the baffle in place if you just trundle down the road on tick over! You wont piss the neighbours off at all! Get to the end of the road, rip that thing out! and let it rip. :flame Dev My nur is awesome, wouldn’t change it for the world! One of the best mods ive done yet! GET ONE, YOU'LL LOVE IT
