  1. Hi Steve, had a look on that link to the image, its a bit difficult to see what going on, actually i can't see a thing:D checking it out or am i missing a trick. cheers
  2. Steve i am right in thinking that the yellow can light is level rather than pressure? also from the pic you posted i cant see where a electrical switch thing would/could be. cheers for help & keep it coming:thumbs:
  3. Steve, do you know where i can find the where light is getting its signal from, it must be plugged into the engine some where, i'm hoping maybe the "switch" something is faullty or worked itself loose. cheers
  4. The yellow oil light in the right hand side row of warning lights has never worked in my car and as far as i knew it wasnt supposed to, noticed in Skywater's car that both his red one (which i guess is oil presure) and the yellow one ( which is oil level) are both working. So I took the unit out of my car pluged it into his and wouldnt you know the yellow oil light came on, so i can rule out the unit/bulb be faulty, why doesnt it work on my car any ideas? cheers:stupid:
  5. I had the same problem, but it turned out that one of the balancing weights on the the drivers side wheel had fallen off, so you might want to check that out cheers
  6. Cheers Pete, I'll be contacting you soon about speedo conversion etc, as soon as i've finished work in nottingham and i'm back south which should be next 2 weeks hopefully thanks again
  7. Yeah I filled up quite a few times, but a journey the other day that nearly uses half a tank of petrol, only used a quarter, so it moves up and down fine, i'm just doubting its accuracy............ I just thought there must be way to reset it to zero and then it has to reclaibrate or take a new reading? any more ideas pls
  8. Hi all, was messing around with the dash on the weekend, usual saturday morning tinkering as you do, thought i'd see if i could change the lights on the instrumnet panel to a different colour,,,,, any way to cut a long story short, I swore i had more than half a tank of petrol in the car before I started Fukin about, then when i screwed everything back togther it was on empty, it went up again once i switched the ignition on, but now its stays up, and i'm not confident that its even giving the correct reading, I've disconnected the battery for 24hrs, but the needle didnt drop to E and go back up again it just sat there. basically can i reset the gauge somehow, without having to run the tank empty:stupid: cheers
  9. This post really leads of from a speedo thread earlier, My car still has the original speedo & is still limited, I now want it delimited & the kph to know read mph, were can i go to get the correct electronics, that will convert the kph to mph, delimit the car and would i need to get the uk spec speedo? cheers
  10. mine also has the original face nad has made reguler trips to the max, but i still have the limiter on mine, so dont know the effects of taking it off, and having the needle trying to swing round futher than it should cheers
  11. Got my nur spec back box on my car , fitted directly on to the original system without mods, and had both silencers removed, I just want to say one thing "fuk" is it loud , a mate of mines got a hyper system on his car on his car and its even louder than that Thanxs to justin at torque i.c. for sorting things out I would post pics but i'm sure you've all seen blitz a million times before cheers

  13. i shall mention that when it goes in, the guy on the phone said something on the right hand side of where the cam belt area is needs tightening up, i'll post again once the jobs been done and let you know exactly what they tightened tensioned etc
  14. My pumps been whinning for about a year now, i'm getting my cambelt changed in a weeks time , and i've been told that increasing the tension in the belt can cure it................
  15. O.k. i'm getting hyper about getting a hiper but is it difficult to fit on your own? & has anyone heard or seen an apexi N-1 exhaust? similar looks to the hiper, but not really heard the name being tossed about in here any reasons why? cheers
  16. T, is that a hyper on your car, it doesnt look so bad on there, i've seen some which are angled so far to the left of the car, that it just spoils the beutiful lines of the car
  17. I know i'm being really picky, but i'm putting visual perfection over oral pleasure (is that the right term), I think i'll probably go for option 2, Adam can you recommend somewhere else other than Top Gear to do the bendy pipe work, if you're not too happy with the quality? cheers guys
  18. Guys I need your techy assistance, I wanna buy an exhaust, i've got the money to buy an exhaust, only one problem (well actually more than 1) 1. I've got an NA 2. They dont do the nurspec r for the NA 3. I'm a fussy bugger and i look the look of it over the hiper muffler 4. Went to top gear, guy said he could do me a dragon fire cat back system (that looks like a nur spec back box) that would face straight out, rather than at an angle with no silencer for £450 :)or £500 with a small silencer Justins doing me good deal on a hiper, but i realy luv the look of the nur, i need to make a decision on one or the other by wednesday, b 4 i go insane. My options 1. Get the draon fire system from top gear, but i question the quality of the back box and what it will sound like, but it will look good & will sound better than standard anyhow 2. Get the nurspec R rear box on its own, and see if top gear can make me cat back pipe, should sound awesome 3. buy the nur spec R complete cat back system for the supra TT and ask them to fabricate it on 4. go for the hiper and save my self alot of hassel Questions 1. option 1 & 2 afforadble, option 2 & 3 other than cost of the system or back box can anyone guess a price for the work involved 2. will i lose performance through option 3? as its not designed for the NA all opinions greatly apprectiated as my brains failing quickly cheers Dil
  19. £120 for the surround and it only comes as a pair, may have to scout around some of the breakers yards
  20. Cheers M, I hope there not gonna charge me an arm and a leg for it.........................
  21. Hi all, i was fitting a new steering wheel, took the black surround of the steering column, put it outside the car, then later step on the top half and put a nasty crack in it DOH!!!, does anyone know if its availabe seperatley and what the part no. is please:stupid: cheers
  22. I'll get underneath the car tomorrow and have a good look around, theres also a sharp metallic noise when i 1st start up in the morning that seems to be coming from somewhere underneath the car, that i need to check out, and i think the steering pumps playing upto, dont know if they are related? cheers
  23. Well I guess that told me, cam belt change it is then, whats this front crank seal, I dont want to tell the mechanic to have a look at it, b'cos 9/10 they'll tell you something needs changing even if it doesnt. How can i see this "weep" and more importanatly were am i supposed to be looking? Cheers
  24. Hi all (especially those of cam belt knowledge) my cars about 6 years old, done 36000 miles, I know the recommended cam belt change interval is 60000 miles or 5 years but do i really need to change it, with only half that many miles. I'd rather spend the money and buy an exhuast, which i've been uuuuummming and ahhhhing over for 5 months. I've heard that if you look at the cambelt and you can see the manufactures name or letters on it, it needs changing & quick. Is this true? b'cos i can see toyota on mine!!!!! cheers
