  2. I get this sort of slugish problem once and awhile, I find that if i drive the car around town a lot for a couple of days and don't really give it any high speed or acceleration that the car behaves really slowly as if the engine management has changed the way the engine behaves to my actions, but as soon as i give it a good canning once or twice than its back to normal, basically i've come to the conclusion just drive like your late to get somewhere all the time:D
  3. SKywater's got a set of those high octane jobbies on his supe search the boxhill threads there maybe a pic of his car or,send him a PM I'm sure he'll send you a picture, as he seems to have turned into a professional photographer over night cheers:D
  4. I agree with Dunk, I think you are going to have to go back there and prove it too them once and for all, I would recommend going there on a saturday afternoon when its nice and busy so you've got enough spectators, make a scene, make it be known that you've got a problem with this place but be cool. I see your in wales direction a bit of a drive maybe there's a supra owner out birmingham ways who would be willing to meet you there, that way you can drive down with the wheels in something a bit more economical and not waste any more money on these guys. Once you show them whats wrong then there is no dispute, I'd take a camera aswell and take some pics once they've put the wheels to have a record. Just don't take no for an answer
  5. Jon, it seems like WM are doing to much bull shiting, and they should of been honest with you not dick you about for a month. If they can't supply wheels suitable for the car which won't make you fail your mot then full refund is the only option
  6. I think I've completely fcuk'd it , thought something inside the unit may have become dislocated so decided to open it up, next thing as I 'm pulling the black back and front parts of the unit apart, this long nylon (I presume this is what you mean Ibrar) with teeth on it comes flying out. Ibrar do I need unit know, or is this the bit that i need to replace, if so can you e-mail/pm the instructions on how to do so please. thanks
  7. Well got the aerial unit out, realized there was the chrome nut thing on the outside of the car that had to be un-done. Branners there's a major grinding nose coming from the aerial unit when I turn the stereo on or off any ideas? also made a trip down to halfrauds to see about a new unit, the one's they had were twice the size in length in comparison, so it looks like a trip to toyota for a new one, I think i'm about to get ripped off:( anyone replaced there's with anything else other than a toyota one? cheers
  8. Hi guys the Aerial on the cars decided to die on me lastnight, thought I'd have ago at removing it this afternon but I can't seem to figure out how to get the blasted thing to detach fom the rear quarter, I've un-done the bolt at the base of the unit, but it wont budge whats keeping it attached to the car? all help greatly appreciated cheers p.s heres some pics if any one can point me to something in them
  9. There was a thread on this bbs about this, I think TRL were going to make some up, its all gone a bit quite since, give'em ring a find out whats going on:D

    Snooper????

I was looking at the S6 aswell it seems to have everything you could possibly need laser/rader detection and gps for the spexs/fixed camera's I thought they were about 500 quid maybe matt harwood could do a good deal on these. cheers
  11. not to bothered about what the noise will be like, but want to know if spending 200-300 quid will actually liberate any extra power as I wouldn't mind just a little bit more power low down in the rev range
  12. Thinking about getting my car decated, theres quite a few threads on here about decated TT's and all the joys you get from doing it, lucky buggers:D Any one know of the pro's and con's of doing this to a N/A? cheers:thumbs:
  13. I've got an ZS-R too, the only differences that i've been able to figure out between an SZ and mine is big brakes, with 17's, bilstein suspension, no air bags , no electric seat & 6 speed gear box. It incedently will be going up for sale soon/early next year, as the girl friend has told me we need to buy a house:(
  14. Ah f*ck, toyota dealerships can't get anything right. The car starts fine, but for who long it will stay like that is anyone's guess, there technician told me 250 amps was ample for a supra, & oyota wouldn't have halved the crank ampage if they didn't think that would be enough, Matt if you make it down to the next meet , could you try & source me a super size battery like yours. cheers
  15. Cheers Doughie, I thought it might be something like that, do you know what the supra needs to crank the engine over I know you're supposed to either equal or exceed it, it just seems strange going from 500Amps to 250Amps. thanks
  16. Picked up the new battery from Toyota today, the original battery was 70ah and 500amps, the new one is 70ah & 250amps, have I just been done over by them? or is the new battery ok? cheers
  17. Al you read my mind , Matt where can I get 640 AMP battery for £35? it might be worth getting a bigger battery thinking ahead to any future Ice installs, and keeping the new toyota one for running out door christmas lights:cool:
  18. Sorted it this morning, took the battery out of the golf, connected it all up, and the car started:) luckly i still had the recipt for the battery i purchased this time last year from toyota, so took it back told them the problem, they're getting me in a new battery for tuesday. Word of warning though, the battery cost me £70 last year, and at the time they told me it came with a three year warranty, when I took it back today they told me as the battery was more than year old I would have to pay 50% of the replacement cost and if It was more than 2 yrs old I would have to pay 75% of the replacement costs, obviously I argued with them that this is false selling by saying it comes with a 3 year warranty (is warranty the same as gaurantee?) if In the end I have to pay money for replacement, they agreed and are replacing it at no cost, but only cos I pointed out the battery was only a couple weeks older than a year............... is there anything when dealing with toyota simple. any how all seems sorted, and thanks for your help:thumbs: by the way the rating on the battery thats nackered is 500 Amps is that big enough for a supra & did the car nacker the battery cos it was too small? thanks again:thumbs:
  19. Ok i'm going to do a half day at work tomorrow, and have bloody good crack at the car to see if i can figure out whats going on in the afternoon, thanks for your words of wisdoms if anyone thinks of anything else please post it , Hopefully I wont need to post on this thread again after tomorrow:D cheers
  20. just been in the garage, WD40 just about anything i could find, checked all connections, turned the key same loud clicking noise, its coming from the back of the engine, the old man (you can always rely on the old man for advice) thinks maybe the fly wheel is stuck, does this sound plausible?he's had me pushing the car back & forth in gear for the last 20mins, am I flogging a dead horse there? tried suggestion about hitting started motor, that didn't resolve anything and did the full beam test , the interior lights dimmed but not a huge amount that it went dark?Keeping them ideas coming super Al, will try jump starter from another car in awhile any other ideas guys? or isit a job for the rac
  21. Popped of to home at lunch, the battery had been on charge, looked at the charger indicator reads fully charged and had switched into trickle charge mode. Turned the ignition and still getting that rapid clicking noise from under the bonnet, I don't think its the battery, possibly a relay, any body know of any in the engine bay that would influence start up ,and where it/they are located? cheers
  22. what a terrible start to a horrible morning, Jumped in the car this morning, turned the key and all i could I hear from under the bonnet was rapid clicking noise's , I can't see from where its coming from until I get someone to turn the key for me. I quickly checked the battery and that seems fine, it started perfectly fine last night at work, so there where no signs that i can think of that some thing wrong was about to happen, what do you guys reckon it could be? all help greatly appreciated
  23. Thanks Guys, I'll have a poke around the car on the weekend ans see what i can suss out. cheers
  24. Cheers for that mate, you've got some really nice pics on there of some supra's at the Matt Harwood meet ,top stuff
