  4. Loving this build so much, those NUR arches paired with the CCW's are exquisite... First thing I did after completing Uni was buy my Sup, done much the same underneath with mine as you have yours, alot of work indeed

  6. Went with Superpro dude, complete cars worth minus the diff which ill be doing this winter along with a few other bits. After a year of driving they've been great, huge difference in how the car feels and handles. No squeaks either normally associated with the cheaper polybushes. Super easy to fit too. Just ensure you do your research on what size bushes you need, theres variations between Uk, j-spec and tt/NA as far as I'm aware. I'd pop new fuel lines/brake lines under there while you're at it too man, makes sense while the frames off You'll also need to buy new frame mounting bolts from toyota as they're stretch bolts I believe. Not overly expensive iirc. If you dont like unexpected surprises then a second frame would be easiest, can always sell on your old one again. Wish id went that route I'll post up the progress pics shortly.
  7. It's been an awfully long time. She's back in my workshop for the next few months with a rather large task ahead....paint. I never did get round to finishing this build thread, i did eventually refurbish every control arm, the rear subframe, new lines, caliper rebuilds, shell rust removal and underseal etc so underneath is awesome. I'll post some pics from the process and how she looks now. Spot my brothers eg civic we've just completed a full nut and bolt rebuild and respray on. I'll post some pics of that, the paint transformation was way over what we expected. Good enough that the tired 199 silver on my Supra is about to receive the same treatment; news the misses is delighted to hear... Once the paints sorted, I'll have an awesome base to begin piecing together some TURBO stuff. If you like to see people pull out their hair with DIY body work and paint related shenanigans then follow the thread up over the next few months and enjoy. Proper painting process, no rattle cans apply

  11. I would double check the cable tension on the throttle cable, can't remember if there is an idle adjust screw or not either. Anyways, you can clean the IACV, I had to when my idle was all over the place, worked a charm. Just search it.
  12. Is it a real difference in 'performance' or the new sound making it sound faster? With the 3L being a fairly large displacement a little better flow certainly wont harm it, marginal gains though I'd say. One things for sure though, a decatted NA is LOUD. But awesome loud so worth doing nonethless.
  13. Yeah I definitely refitted them Chris, I've a feeling its the centre mount thats causing the issue, I stupidly forgot to mark where it was bolted down thinking back

Hi chaps, noticed ever since refitting my propshaft theres a slight vibration/knocking under heavy acceleration like that of an unbalanced wheel, I know its not the wheels though as its only under hard acceleration towards the end of the rev range regardless of speed. Anyone recommend me anywhere in the central belt that could check out the alignment/balance for me? Dont imagine its the sort of thing my usual places would do..... Cheers

  17. If you can find one for the right price, a 1JZ TT or even single turbo swap with a few upgrades can work out pretty sweet if the car's a solid base. Sooo much cheaper than a 2JZ-GTE and it's a little different. That's my plan for my NA just shortly, because you're right, all the noise and not much go :L
  18. Im gonna have to pull out lads, just finished rebuilding the car after winter strip down and only mot'd it on wednesday, too many niggly issues I'm not happy with so my ticket can go to whoever wants it, see you guys there anyways!
  19. Hi all, Can anyone guide me on the sizes (internal/external diameters) of the three STOCK hard line fuel pipes which run underneath the car? I know there's one for the charcoal canister, one for fuel delivery and a return (?) What can I use in place of the steel lines? I'm assuming kunifer or copper will do? I've read toyota replacements are extortionate.... My car's an NA so obviously nothing to be gained by differing the sizes, hence I just need the stock sizes which I can't seem to find anywhere on here. Cheers!

  23. I'm planning on (almost) fully polybushing mines when I rebuild in a few weeks time. I notice you're near me Cipriani, can always see how mines handles in the flesh once she's done?
  24. +1 for the idle control valve, sorted this very issue out on mine provided the screws are'nt siezed in it'll take you 10 minutes.
