  1. Yea i understand that buddy, just need to get the car off my old mans ramp, somethings better than nothing, plus if it works then it gives me more time to source a proper box
  2. I can live with that for the time being, just need it on the road and off my ramp
  3. To start off ive minced the W58 in my TT, obviously not the best box for what its being used for but its all i had. Emailed every breaker asked people i know, posted on forums but not coming up with much luck. The best plan is to 6sp it but i cant justify the cash and im also on a deadline, Now my question is; My dad has an old hilux(same ones top gear failed to kill) now its fitted with a G58 4x4 gearbox. From looking at it, it looks to be 4 pieces; bell-housing, gearbox, hi/low diff, transfer box ... Good chance im wrong on that as im not 100% on boxes... Cutting to the point if i was to split the G58 and use my W58 casing with the G58 gearing, Would it work?

    TTC How to do

What a cracking how-to guide! Very impressed
  5. Has to be more guys interested, its a few weeks away yet so plenty time for others to get their names down, From the years in the past theres been evo owners club, classic fords, 63car club(road rallys and rally marshalling group), north of scotland modified and many more, theres awards for best car on show, best modified etc. loads to see!
  6. Aye raymonds a really good lad, takes alot for himself and linda(stuarts mum) to organise something like this and theres always a good turn out, look forward to catchin up with everyone!
  7. Thanks for making this thread alex, For those who dont know me stuart was a pal of mine and was taken far too soon, i also lost my girlfriend in november 2013 when the car coming the other way hit her head on, unforunatly its always the inocent that dont make it.. The rrrrallye has brought alot of likeminded groups together in the last few years its been on and it raises awareness for road safety no matter how old you are! I now work with stuarts dad and there was a sobering moment between us when i took my supra to work, i was told that stuart always fancied a supra, it made is dad smile looking at mine, just a shame he couldnt see his son in one. Ill be there with the supra this year, and i look forward to seeing anyone else that can make it!

  14. Well twin turbo manual is what im really after, talking to a guy atm about buying one so hopefully i should be drivin a supra to the meet instead of a battered scabby old fiesta haha!
  15. Ill come along. Currently looking for a supra but hopefully will have one by the time of the meet. Interested to meet a few of you guys and hear storys and experiances.
  16. Yea jurgen it was me that was emailing for quotes etc yesterday, again have to say i was quite impressed with how long you took to reply! (Michael thomson) Drift_bear - no i wasnt at that meet, went out on the ran-dan instead, went to the wash out that was in inverness a few month before it. And im sure ive seen pics of that! Wide boddied thing?
  17. Drift_bear- where you from then? Aye min al be keen for the meets!, depends with work etc but ill deffinatly look into it! Be fine to get an idea of what im letting myself in for J_jza80 - ive recently just emailed them! With work being as crazy busy as it is at the moment im more than happy to wait for a decent exple to turn up, but as it is to me whatever supra i eventually buy is going to an investment, rather have a fresh one than a rot box!
  18. Thats the membership payed, another step closer to being an owner!
  19. I was looking at the jap spec tbh mate, just had a look through the forum and the uk spec does look better in terms of engine and breaking etc but in the future i plan to build it up to be a road legal track car, much like ive done with previous motors, but it is early days yet
  20. Keith min! Ive been saving for a long tym!
  21. Thanks pal ill check that out! Have noticed that there becoming popular, willing to pay big to get my hands on a good one, might have to play the waiting game
  22. If they are mate theyve missed me out wanted a supra for a long time, only recently got myself a stable job so im taking the leap and going for it!
