  1. My car is a supra mk4 2jzge Nat conversion but I am having some problems with the Aem v2 I am in the process of installing. My build consists of converting to vvti coil packs with ds62 igniter , I have fitted a ffim and also a 7mgte cps. All the wiring is done and the ecu is loading up fine. The problem I have is that I can't get stat sync in order for me to set my base timing. What happens is the cam sensor is working fine but the 24 tooth crank sensor isn't picking up very well. The reading in the Aem is very jerky. For example when I try to crank the engine the Aem fluctuates between 9000rpm and just goes haywire. Also the tooth a reading is very jerky and not smooth. I am only using one of the cam sensors in the 7m cps as only 1 is needed. Also in the 7m cps I have split the negatives as I thought maybe there is some interference but it made no difference I am using the standard shielded wire to the ecu as I reused the redundant cps g2 wire for the negative of g1. I also tried the oem 2jzge distributor but still have the same problem. If I remove the cps and spin by hand. It won't register anything on the Aem until you spin it fast and then it will give the haywire signal. Basically it won't give a smooth signal and I have tried everything I could think of. I've already wasted 2 days trying to figure this out and am pulling my hair out. I have followed alisc300's guide perfectly on the Nat management guide in the American supra forums. Please help me someone. Need some fresh thinking please...
  2. Another option is to build your 2jzge for turbo, Ie put in a set of 2jzgte pistons on your rods (rods are the same between non vvti ge and gte). Run some aftermarket management and upgrade injectors, fuel pump, get turbo manifold, turbo, fmic and piping etc. You can throw some serious abuse at the engine and 2jzge's are very strong anyway.
