  1. Hi, has anybody tried carbon dipping themselves I see there are kits available, or does anybody on the forum do it? How does it look?
  2. Why do they not work on tablet?
  3. Yes, does that make a difference.
  4. Yes, fully paid up.
  5. Hi, why when I go into repair manuals on the forum, nothing opens, there all blank ?
  6. Now on to the cam covers !
  7. Hi thinking of doing an engine flush, can someone recommend a good product to use, and do they work?
  8. Found all the torques and valve clearances, but can anybody help with part no for plug cap clips.
  9. Hi changed the plugs this evening, and changing rocker cover gaskets, firstly I'm missing two plug leads retainers, PIC below could do with two or a part no. Car is a 98 TT vvti auto. Old plugs we den so and have now fitted NGK, plug caps don't seem to coonect that well, no positive feel they are clipped on ? Also can some give torques for spark plug and cam cover bolts. And valve clearances might as well check swell. Thanks

    exhaust

Hi I'm a bit confused so looking for clarification, my supra is a j spec TT vvti 98, I read about de cat pipe 1 and 2 , mine has one down pipe into cat, three bolt flange. So what do I need to go with an exhaust change ? Possibly a stupid question but thought I would ask.
  13. Hi been under the car doing a few jobs and noticed I'm missing a nut ! Its the o/s front, is this a common occurrence in the supra ?
  14. I think it will be never ending ! Next will be inlet manifold,
  15. Update another pipe polished. Now a few pics with all fitted.
  16. Sticking valves would give miss fire, so don't believe it cold be that, compression test and leak down tests good idea if you have the kit.
  17. Have a good feeling, like I said terminal issues inside an engine don't come and go, things look a lot better now than last night.
  18. Good news, serious engine damage ie bearings don't come and go.
  19. Take it for a run , get it hot and see if it knocks, might be easier to find. If knocking re due your checks again.
  20. Are there any local club members that could take a look with you.
  21. Sorry to hear about your troubles, don't stress take it logically one step at a time, I would remove auxiliary belt first to eliminate those parts, then remove cam covers , check cam lobes and valve clearances, have you checked oil level? Slowly by elimination you will find issue, then you can deall with it.
