Thanks for replying swampy I've not pulled the codes yet I'll do that next. It did seem strange non vvti with an immobilizer it must be something else. I'll get to the bottom of it

Does anybody know if mk1 gs300s have immobilizers engine fires up and runs sweet but shuts off after about 5 seconds. Im using the gs300 ecu non vvti 3 plug. I was under the impresion they were all non immobilized however from what Ive seen on the internet some 1uz non vvtis were immobilized just wondering if the 2jz was the same as that might explain the problem Im having Thanks Scott

I want to get my supra undersealed does anybody have a good recomedation I want to find someone who's going to treat any existing rust and do a really good job I'm in Scotland but don't mind travelling for a really good job

Pretty sure you need an mr2 speedo head I never got my speedo working at all but there's a thread on here about it somewhere I searched for it just now but I can't find it. It's to do with the pulse signal. I'll keep trying to find the link - - - Updated - - - Great to hear the cars up and running

I see it says A90 all over it like MA70 JZA70 and of course JZA80 I like that. I think it was a shame when BMW moved away from their usual chassis coding 'E' the new ones are 'F' iirc.

I'm having trouble with the MOT test for my NA auto. It would appear the DVLA has updated the emissions data for import cars in the recent MOT updates. Apparently when you enter the VIN for an NA auto (can't speak for TT's) it is showing emissions data now and they are looking for it to be in a range like other cars. This hasn't been a problem in the past with my FTO and my Supra in previous years because they always got non cat tests due to not being on the database and the build date being before some time in 1995! Now I have been frantically googling and it appears there is no patent part for the 1st cat for NA Supras, however I have found that there is a patent part for the 1st cat on the MK1 GS300 so my question is does anybody know if it would be possible to put a 1st cat from a Lexus GS300 on to a NA? I have looked up both parts in Toyodiy both have different part numbers but look extremely similar would it just be a case of cutting off the pipes coming from the actual section off the cat its self doing the same with the supra cat and welding on the pipes going up to the flange or would it be too different a shape if you know what I mean?
