  1. Hi. One of my mates bought a stock RX7 around the same time got my RZ Supra TT (was in stock form then). Rx7 is quick off the mark and low to the ground, so handle pretty well. But mid range and top speed the Supra beats the Rx7 hands down.
  2. Nice looking Supra mate. Especially like the colour. I'm not biased at all.
  3. It was cold... I did my last run with 3 people in the car coz they didn't want to get out and watch from the side!
  4. Nice white Veilside... sadly didn't see it run today.
  5. Just got in. Gave up waiting for winds to die down to run for top speed. Self-inflicted i know, but i got in at 3am this morning and then got up at 5:30am to meet convoys... er.. kinda missed those. But made it to Tescos near Woodbridge in time to see some nice cars. After forgetting to turn off the top quality Toyota Traction Control and being restricted to 3000 RPM on my first run! nice... i managed a low 13 later on. Here are some photos... i'm off to catch up on sleep!
  6. Thanks everyone for the advice. It's really depressing looking at my Supra parked up, out of action, while i pull away in a 1.8i Avensis! The AVCR has no display on it at all. The engine management light comes on and stays on as soon as the car is started. I will check all hosing and plugs. Hopefully it will be something as minor as that. I am glad no one has mentioned turbos so far. Thanks again for the advice. Chris, have a good holiday.
  7. Drove my car home the other night running 1.1bar, no problems and car ran smoothly as usual. Next morning, the car had a bit of ice / frost over it and when i started it up, the engine stalled after 3-4 seconds. I started it again and once more it stalled after 3 seconds. At this point I noticed there was no display on my Apexi AVCR. To get it started i kept it up to 3,000rpm and noticed it was idling rough. When i drove it, the turbo(s) were whistling very loud and the car was jerking as my foot came off the accelerator to change gear. I left the car at home in the end and got train to work. Tried to start it again today and same problem. Engine management light is on, on top right of the dash. Justin at Torque IC has kindly offered to have a good look at it. But in the mean time does anyone have any ideas what it could be? It's strange since the car was totally fine the night before and i don't usually drive about 1 bar.
  8. Er... yes, thanks for the photo of my embarrassing launch and race against Steve M!
  9. doh! Sounds like i went on the wrong day. Oh well!
  10. Went to the Brighton thing. It was a big let down. I reckon less than 50 cars there. Some of which were rusty!!! But on the plus side there were some nice Jap cars - including a few Supras. I am sure I saw Mark's purged Supra in the car park. I know Jason Finn - so got to sit inside the arena where the stunt driving takes place - lots of free Goodfellas Pizzas and watched a modelling contest featuring some serious mingers. Good laugh, but not worth £12 each i'm afraid.
  11. I should be going to this on Saturday. Looks like a bit of a mini - maxpower show to me, but should be a good laugh anyway.
  12. I went there a few times when i first got the Supra and i know exactly what you mean - there really are some shocking efforts there. Just post up when your thinking of going. A saturday night would be good i think because some of us have to work saturdays!?!
  13. I have just had an APEXI AVCR boost controller fitted and i get the same clicky noises when running higher boost. It is actually peace of mind in a way to know someone else has had the same thing.. but i hope this is normal!!!?
  14. Would have to agree the parking was a little cozy. But it was good to put some faces to the members and at least the weather was nice on Sunday. Saturday night was a nightmare. Running drunk through the muddy puddles at 4am from your tent to the toilets is not fun!!! What happened to the rims on the Fast & Furious Orange Supra? Thanks Mcanny for the keyring.
  15. I got there Saturday afternoon, was quite sunny while I set up camp and cooked some food on the bbq, but then it rained for the rest of the evening and all night. There was a good turnout of Supras on Sunday. Thanks Mark for lending me a bucket and sponge. The purge kit looks the business. Paul, I think that was me you spoke to about my Sound system. Matt Harwood installed it and built the custom sub box. Work was done at Sextons Park Wood, Maidstone, Kent. 01622 683044 Nice to see the usual suspects again and meet some new faces.

    hks fcd

Can i just clarify what kind of problems the HKS FCD can cause? I had one fitted with an APEXI AVCR Boost Controller. Seems to run fine, but from the comments in this thread, I am a little concerned.

I also have a HKS FCD fitted, which seems to work fine.
  18. Hi everyone, Unfortunately, I cannot make the 5pm showing now - but I have booked a group of seats together for me and my mates (7.10 showing). The lady on the phone said that the automated system allocates seats randomly, so if you all want to sit together, you will need to all book at the same time. Or if one of you guys books through an operator, then that person will get a reference number for their booking, which when quoted lets the operator know which seats were booked. So if the next person phones and states they want seats next to or near seats booked under that reference number, you should all be able to sit together.... hope that makes sense?!!?! I can't remember the direct dial off hand. But if you dial 118888 and ask for Showcase cinemas Bluewater - Managers Office... you should be able to get through directly to the 01322 DARTFORD line... Hope this helps.
  19. Sounds like a plan Mr. Branners. Don't want to complicate things, but we aren't going for the Gallery screen are we?
