I bought it off Nash in the end, it wasn’t in the best condition as I pulled it apart when I jacked it up showed him bits of rust that needed fixing. Front rear Cross member needed replacing and a few more rusted part but nothing I couldn’t get fixed by my local welder who is the dogs balls at tidy welding

I’m just south of Bristol if anyone is organising meets

I’m all fixed now Peter thanks for asking, I done that last year in March. Well my long term plan is to build the engine. As my plan was to turbo the current GE lump in the car but luckily I found one that had been stripped down and the bottom end had just been rebuilt. Unfortunately the lad who was selling this had lost his job due to lockdown and had to sell his project and move out of his shared side of the unit. So it was left to his mate to sell all his parts. The guy didn’t realise what he had there and for the block and head and all auxiliary parts and wiring he only wanted £100 for the lot. I Snapped his hand off then and there, now it’s sat in my garage. So Im planning on getting the engine built by Dave yandell. He’s a local engine builder to me, can’t knock his skills. My limit is around the 700bhp no more, im aiming for a fast useable street car not chasing big numbers. Just looking about now for the best turbo for my needs any recommendations are welcome. other recent purchases -new battery -BGW from garage whiftbitz (gt carbon wing) Still got the original wing just i case I want to swap back. - SRD front under tray -New drivers side seatbelt from Keron as we all know they don’t sale the oem ones anymore. -v2 front lip Currently waiting on a delivery for all new door seals looking at getting the facelift front lights soon.

Now I had the supra back home in the south west I could begin sorting through some of these said issues. First of all the air filter was replaced straight away, didn’t want any foam breaking off going into the engine. Easy fix A thorough deep clean of the carpet and seats Temporary sorted the side skirts with some fiddling and some extra screws that were missing. Until I get around to buying the carbon skirts. Now everyone’s different when it comes to taste in wheels, but i really like the symmetricalness of 6 spoke wheels with a bit of dish. After searching eBay, gumtree, for sale forums and online shops I found a set I liked from Jav designs, not the colour I would of originally gone for but after putting them on the car it actually works against the black. -brand new Tein flex z coilovers we’re fitted as the rear suspension was getting to soft. -new anti roll bars front and rear from garage whiftbitz -new drop links all round at the same time -offside upper wishbone replaced as the ball joint had to much play. The brakes on the NA Supra don’t really cut it for me and we’re looking like crap, so I managed to shop around and get some recently refurbished UK calipers front and rears. I bought all brand new OEM TT disc’s from whiftbitz accompanied with porterfield R4S brake pads. While I was at it I bought all new shoes and springs for the handbrake to. Life was going good at this point all the brake parts had arrived and I was just waiting for a good weekend to get it all done. However we all know how life loves to throw a curve ball in there. The weekend came around and I had the car up on axle stands, i had literally just removed the last brake caliper from the car and then the heavens decided to open. that was that for the rest of the day, any how I had some decorating to finish off inside the house no big deal I’ll come back to the car when it’s stopped raining. BIG MISTAKE the chair snapped and I fell (I had stood on to put the curtain pole back up) and broke my wrist on impact also damaging my hip. Quick visit to A&E in Bath hospital and one lovely pink cast for 8 weeks and then months of rehabilitation. However this did not stop the work on the supra, I was physically not able to do it but my lovely fiancée said she would do it for me if I told her exactly what to do. So she picked up the ratchet and socket set and got to work fitting all my new brakes. Now that right there is a keeper!!!!

So after a massive mistake years ago I sold my white supra project (yes im still kicking myself now) I finally got around to buying another one about 2 or so years ago now. Just haven’t put anything on here. So here’s a quick update from the beginning. After searching the web for various months i came across a NA manual in black in Manchester. Went up and viewed said supra, usual inspection checking everything as per norm. Few little rust issues as expected from these cars now but nothing serious. A deal was done and I was once again a proud owner of a beloved supra. Quick low down- So the supra came on non standard 17s which looked hideous (may have a picture somewhere of them) knock off ridox kit from grams not fitted correctly and had a crack on one of the side skirts. usual rust on the rear window HKS air filter foam literally falling apart inside. Otherwise not in to bad a condition for the age. I was told the car was sat for many years, according to the previous mot certificates it hadn’t gone far outside the previous owners garage forecourt.

Just a quick story how I got hold of the Supra, NA manual 1994 (imported 2006) I bought it last year in june from a jap importer near the m65 (cannot remember the name of the garage) when I was due to leave the navy, I only had over a month left to go so was doing my resettlement at the time. so I had plenty of "cough cough" free time! Time to go up from Portsmouth to the garage (north Manchester) Out of no where I get called up to go back on ship for the last month of my resettlement, as once again the government cut to many people and low and behold we were stupidly short on man power!!! This was Thursday afternoon I got told and I had to be at Plymouth for Friday evening at the latest as the ship was leaving stupid o clock Saturday morning. So I got the train Thursday evening back to mine back in bath to grab the money. Then caught the 7am train from bath to north Manchester took 6 and half hours to get there usual delays along the way! The salesman picked me up from the station in the supra and I drove it back to the garage as I wanted a test drive (Instantly fell in love with it) done a deal with him 30minutes later for £2700! It had 87k (converted from km to miles) paint work wasn't the best but had 12months mot. Once I had the keys in my hand I rang the insurance company paid the insurance and just had to get tax but due to car being a import the online tax wouldn't register so I had to run to the library and print off the insurance documents and then go to the local post office and do it the old school way! Then away I was gunning it back down the the m65 then m6 and then on to the m5 to brean as my best mate was on holiday there're id always promised him first ride in the supra. After that quick blast around brean (it's now 8pm) I then had to pick the misses up from Bristol airport at 11pm (Alright for some going on holiday) I took her home listened to her talk about her holiday and then give her a good seeing to then left for plymouth. I didnt get down Plymouth base till 3am Saturday morning! And I only 2hours sleep till everyone had to be up! Talk about a long day driving. Then that was the supra stood still for a whole month till I got back, gutted I only had the day to drive her but I would not of had any other time to get her after I got back as I would of left he navy that same Friday. There's a picture of it next to the ship. Sorry to bore the hell out of you with that story but I get the car of my dreams and I only get her for one day, I was quite sad about. Anyway now on to the good part I returned after being away got her back and I enjoyed every minute driving her to my new job in civvie street and just driving with mates on the weekend! Just before Xmas the bottom end started making a rattle noise so It gave me the excuse to rebuild the whole car my way and drop a single turbo lump in there down the line. It's all in bits and pieces at the minute as I'm getting it read for my uncle to kindly powder coat the front and rear crossmember , plus additional bits that I might throw in yet. I've already got the centre console flocked and have new leather gaiters for the gear stick and handbrake (not installed yet) Lee from fcm in Bristol Is doing the rest of the flocking on the dash when ever I can get chance to take it to him. Latest up date from the pictures, only the block is left in place and the wiring is all going to hidden as I like the clean smooth engine bay look (the kraken supra is amazing) engine loom is out, will be for sale soon amongst other items. In the near future I will be looking to get hold of a v160 and a GTE block not bothered if it has the turbos with it! Just gotta get the engine bay smoothed and painted first. Next job is to put the fuse box in the bottom glove box. Can't beat a bit of wiring

I've always run yellow EBC's pads on my previous cars (even a defender 90) and now have them on my na supra and I wouldn't swap them for anything else, they last a fair while to! But then it's down to personal choice

Hey all Ive not been on here a while as I made the stupid mistake of buying a landrover last year instead of a supra and now I'm selling the landy to finally get A supra! (Bloody snow) Just throwing this out there but would anyone be willing to take me out for a quick blast in a Auto na/ auto TT/ NA manual and a manual TT or single????? I've got my eyes on a 5 speed manual supra to buy next Friday but I would just like to check I'm doing the right thing Before I do buy it!
