  1. Unfortunately a lot of them are too busy posting on mkivsupra.net these days to have the time to spare for such noble endeavours.
  2. . . . IS THE CORRECT ANSWER ! I like your attitude It takes so bloody long to change the plugs on these cars that you may as well have done with it and put new ones in every time. I usually change them at the same time as the oil; every 5000 miles - as it's easy to keep track of when it needs doing then (that's twice I've said that tonight)
  3. Just don't be one of those tits that waits until the Low Oil Level warning light comes on before they check it. We had one guy who checked his oil after having the car for a few months then and found there was none on the dipstick - and was trying to blame the previous owner!!!
  4. At what gappage? You may need a slightly smaller gap at higher boost levels.
  5. Well, some of them do. IIRC there are two types, one being 1.1mm or somesuch. I wouldn't want anyone to take it for granted - always check the gap before fitting. ( I realise you were advocating changing the gap anyway but just in case anyone was planning on running 0.8mm gaps)
  6. Hi mate, I can understand how an ecu could be 'cheaper than a motec', but how is this mystery new ECU better than one? (not saying you're wrong, just interested to know - it seems a bold statement)
  7. It's a very good thing. I have to top up my 93 RZ two or three times between oil changes (5k mile oil changes for me) because it burns a bit of oil due to the worn valve stem seals. Not that I'm worried about it but a Supra that loses no oil at all is definitely better. ETA... Come to think of it, all three Supras I've owned have required oil top ups between changes, so it's not unusual.
  8. Why's that? It's not obvious to me.
  9. I'm a registered bone marrow donor with Anthony Nolan Trust. Have been for over 10 years now. They've never actually matched me with anyone though. They contacted me a couple times when they thought I might be a match for somebody but after the further test I wasn't a good enough match.
  10. "should be kept away from heat and open flame" W T F ? Did you read the thread at all? :shakes head in despair:
  11. Just a suggestion, from previous experience; wouldn't it be better if you added the names of the people that have actually paid to Post #3 rather than folks keep adding their names to an increasingly boring and confusing list with guys keep missing each other out and suchlike? Just a suggestion like. Great work though Steve. Thanks very much for your hard work so far - I'm sure you've got lots more to come! (more than you probably realise ATM)

  13. Nah, she can sell OK but that's really all she's got. I reckon Lee and Alex in the final two with Lee going on to win it.

    Tyres

They're a bit more than that in the size I use but they will give you 25-30k miles with good handling and acceptable road noise. Worth the extra, in my opinion.

    Tyres

but they do last well and handle excellently, wet or dry. If your set up provides even tyre wear they are well worth the extra, IMO. If you're driving a badly lowered car and wearing out the edges of your tyres it's probably not worth the premium. Your money would be be better spent getting the suspension put right.

    Tyres

#2 and #3 and both popular choices on the Supra. I don't think the Toyo ones will last long though. Michelin Pilot Sport 2 are also excellent, if your budget allows.
  17. Taupe Gear Fashion program for greyish-brown clothing lovers What's My Lino? Three kitchen floor coverings, three top celebrity guests. Does the Rustic Farmhouse linoleum belong to Russell Grant or Chris Quinten (Brian Tilsey off Coronation Street)? Does Vanessa Feltz go for faux Mediterranean tiles - or a cheerful Oranges and Lemons print? 19. Both a bit Chav. Stock VVTi or TRD wheel are both a bazillion times more suited to a tastefully done Supra IMO. By the way, it's "chariot" not "charriot"
  20. No mate, that's not what I said. What I meant was that facelift or VVTi Supras do not necessarily come with the larger brakes (Some facelifts have them, some don't) Also, to correct you on another thing, all VVTi Supras are facelift ones - but not all facelifts are VVTi because VVTi came out after the facelift changes were introduced.
  21. £15 though - bargain! Is it shiny? I can you the best place to put it... eBay. You wouldn't believe the pointless tat some people will buy.
  22. Bigger brakes is not a facelift or VVTi thing. I've had a VVTi with the smaller 2pot front brakes. Actually, neither of those things are found on facelift Supras. They were standard issue on UK specs though (which were pre-facelift of course)

    Spell Checker

I think you guys might be missing DJB's point; he's not saying he needs a spell checker.
  24. That's amazing... ...there's an Astra Owners Club!
  25. Superstar! Let us know when it's available? Many thanks.
