  1. It's one of the books I intend to read when I'm holiday next month.
  2. Are they Veilside type ones or like in the above pic? The ones in the pic are nothing like Veilside ones.
  3. I find him quite funny and interesting. I download the podcasts of his Saturday night R2 show and listen to them when I'm working nights.
  4. You changed a head gasket that hadn't gone? Just because the engine had done 50k? I know the k-series engines are bad for blowing head gaskets but I've never heard of anyone changing one as a precaution. Is that normal in the Elise world?
  5. That's beautiful man! :wipes away tear:
  6. 750bhp What rubbish. Still it does have all those "racing" parts.
  7. At the risk of repeating myself ... Blimey this really confirms how stupid a lot of FaceBook users are. No surprise there then.

  9. Ours was like that but it can recover if you drench it with a hose every day for about four days to really rinse the soil out.
  10. If he hasn't, I've got a brand new one here. Still in the Toyota packaging. £75 collected from Waterlooville PO8
  11. He already said in Post 3 whose he bought.
  12. Nope, it's working fine - you lazy bugger. Here, I'll spoonfeed you . . . http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=42029&highlight=fog+light+wiring
  13. Don't tell me the bloody search feature is on the Fritz again!
  14. I think it's good that the BBC don't let folks outside of the UK use iPlayer. After all, it's OUR license fees that pay for these programs to be made. Also, the BBC make a shedload of money selling TG and other programs (The Office, Life On Mars were apparently big earners) to foreign TV stations, which there would be less demand for if Johnny Foreigner could watch them on iPlayer.
  15. It's an auto mate. Yeah well it's my spare Supra. Now Jamie has bought my TT6 and the M3 is in the garage for a new bumper I thought I'd get this one back on the road.
  16. 18-20 mpg is about right for a TT. Maybe a little more for a NA if you're careful. You won't be getting 25mpg from a Supra.
  17. A stock TT is very reliable, so is a stock NA. A tuned/BPU/messed about with TT as not so reliable but still good. Most NAs are fairly stock because you can't tune them hardly at all. You need to be able to afford say £1k to repair your car if the worst happens (turbos or heater matrix are the most likely expensive items, although both quite rare failures really) If £1k seems a lot, again, a Supra isn't the car for you.
  18. Perhaps you should have read the thread before posting.
  19. NAs are hardly any better on fuel than stock TTs. If you're worried about fuel costs then a Supra might not be the car for you, they all cost a lot to run. I honestly wouldn't bother with an NA.
  20. Charged up the battery on my 93 RZ Auto and tried to start the old girl up but the starter motor just clicks very rapidly and very loudly. "Toyota Reliability" my arse, it's only been two years since I last started her up. So what do I need to do? Obviously I'll need to take the starter motor off but then what? Just free up/clean/lubricate the external parts or will I need to take it to bits? I've never taken a starter motor apart and put it back together.
  21. Don't worry, I was in a BMW 325i hire car, not a Supra.
  22. It's all down to the driver. I couldn't keep up in the twisties with a guy in a Toyota Verso MPV the other night on the way home from work. He was on three wheels round some bends. I'm tempted to say he was a maniac but TBH he was just very very good at maintaining speed through corners. I eventually caught him back up at a juction. It was then that I saw the D4D badge.
  23. I know where he lives but .... Sod that! You've seen him right?
  24. Yeah. And my Jamie's black TT6
