  1. Ah! So it was true! but not now. Phew. Cheers Dave
  2. I can't remember for sure, Dave. I have a private plate on my FireBlade and I seem to remember thinking "That's a bugger, I'll have trouble selling that on now" when I heard about the no bike --> Car transfers thing. I just can;t remember how reliable the source was though. Like you, I hope it's not true.
  3. ISTR that you can't transfer a plate from a bike to a car nowadays, do you know if that's right?
  4. Yes, if within a year - iirc No About 10 days last time I did it (went to the local DVLA office in person then waited for the paperwork to come back)
  5. You can have them mate. Just PM me an address and I'll stick them in the post.
  6. I've heard there are nakeder, hotter, ruder ladies on something called "the internets", whatever that is.
  7. I've got some spare cam cover gaskets, left over from a gasket set. You can have them if you like. I've reused the washers and bolts loads of times without any problem. Edit to add: Sorry, I'm on about TT ones. I didn't read the thread properly before posting.
  8. Oh, him. My daughter watches his crap programmes and fills up the Sky+ box with them. He seems like one of those annoying overly camp 'professional queers' to me. I wouldn't watch anything with him in it.
  9. Another google find that might be helpful ...
  10. What has this got to do with Supras?
  11. No. But I think we agree it's bloody horrible and over stated. If that car is 650hp or has dog box I'll eat my hat. (Not that you'd want a road car with a dog box anyway.) If you want a 6sp big single you'd almost have to buy tooquicktostop's one. It's the best one I've seen for sale for ages and very realistically priced for such a well done car. I'm tempted to buy it myself but I can't afford the divorce.
  12. The very reason I won't have a mobile on vodaphone.
  13. I had negotiated a free delivery for it on Sunday (£1098.99 + free delivery) but I wasn't sure if anyone would be home on Weds. When I called back to order it today the £1098.99 price had been corrected to £1199.99 + 20 delivery. Luckily I had taken the name and extension number of the guy I spoke to on Sunday and he agreed to let me have it for yesterday's price but plus the 20 delivery charge.

    Gran Tourismo 5

My 360 plays both Xvid and DivX great. I also used TVersity until I found out which ports to allow for WMP sharing.

    Gran Tourismo 5

Are PS3 good as a media centre then? I mainly use my 360 as a media centre and it works great. It plays downloaded TV/movies straight from my PC over ethernet and even plays iPlayer content. Is the PS3 better for this kind of work? (How?)
  16. Phew. All sorted and ordered now. In the end I went for the non-Freesat 50" TH50PZ80B and a separate Sky HD box. I got the TV from Empire Direct for £1098.99 with a 5 year guarantee and the Sky HD for £49 + £30 installation with half price (£5) HD channels for 6 months. Pretty good deal on both items, I thought.
  17. If I remember right, it tells you what type on the gearbox oil dipstick.
  18. 305mph? As if. It's well known that you would need a well sorted small single to achieve such speeds.
  19. Just tell them the reserve. Unless you have some "it's not fair play" thing about it, in which case don't. If you tell them the reserve and it's more than they want to spend they won't bid - right? But if the bidding goes up to that level, it'll still be more than that amount, so they still won't bid - so what's the difference?

    MPH sticker

Isn't it KM/H rather than KPH on J-specs, Phil? If so you could go the budget option and just blank over the K so it says M/H. Looks OK IMO. Just a thought like.
  21. Grrrr. Now that the HDMI issue is sorted I've decided to go for the 50" TH50PZ81B Shopped around and the cheapest price is £1300.09 from Dixons - problem is I really don't want to buy from Dixons due to their very poor customer service. EmpireDirect have it advertised for £1369.99 with 5 year guarantee. I managed to agreed a price match against Dixons and was placing the order, just double checking the details with guy (model number-check, delivery date, 5 year guarantee) "No sir, you don't get the 5 year guarantee if we're price matching"
  22. So if I get the right amp I can have whatever TV I like! That sounds like a plan Si! Cheers
  23. One last thing I need to decide before ordering : HDMI Is two enough? From what I can make out the Panasonic plasmas that have FreeSat all have the third HDMI socket in the front behind a drop down flap - which makes it useless IMO (would look terrible for anything other than very occasional use) Which means either I have to manage with 2x HDMI or go with a TH46PZ85 which has 2 in the rear (oo err missus) and a useable (not visable from the front) third one in the side. But going for the TH46PZ85 means I can't have the integrated FreeSat, PicInPic & Pic&Pic - which I quite fancy really. It also means I can't have any of the 50" TH50PZxx ones for the same reason. What do folks do with just two HDMI? I use my XBox360 a lot (as a media centre mainly) so that needs a HDMI. My DVD player/SurroundSound Amp uses another So if I upgrade to a Sky HD box in the future I'll have no spare HDMI socket for it. Hmmmm. decisions decisions. Looks like it'll have to be the TH46PZ85 then. Which is alright, great TV and that, just a shame as I fancied a 50" and the FreeSat. Opinions? What would you?
  24. No, Rob, I wasn't aware of that. Cheers Excellent! Thanks Jamie.
