  1. Not a suitable option IMO 'cos reading/writing to SD cards and the like is very slow. As Michael said, getting a larger HDD would be the better option.

I guess it's so she doesn't get people hassling her/making appointments when she's off the clock, in Tesco, or whatever.

Apparently my daughter Jemma is not happy that somebody has registered http://www.jemmajacobs.com before her. Jem's friends on Facebook have been pulling her leg about it. She's only 13 y/o (my Jemma, I mean) and not impressed!
  4. for a 500MB file mine seems close to the advertised speed.... Downloading a 500MB file in 3min 35 secs is good enough for me, who needs 50Meg?
  5. I've been 'umming and arring' about a 911TT for a while now, seems like forever TBH. But lately I've really started fancying an Aston Martin, probably/possibly a V8 Vantage. Something like this looks good to me, not that I know owt about them. Anyone know what one of these costs to run? I don't mean fuel costs, I mean servicing and unreliability costs. Any guess what a car like the above would be worth in, say, 12 month from now? Probably impossible to say, I guess, with the way the economy is at the moment. Any thoughts? Would I be mad to go one of these? They seem like a quality car and, round here, much rarer than a 911. Thanks ----- Edit to add... Obviously the above car is a non-starter due to the hideous colour interior. Something like this would be OK though.
  6. Yeah, I've just been really busy with work lately. Kicking myself now. P17EED, Let me know if the buyer drops out, or if the clutch suddenly "fails" before the buyer has been to collect it.
  7. No way! Damn ! I had that on my watch list but forgot about it due to working today. I nearly PM'd you the other day, I was gong to ask if you'd take £1500 for it, but I saw you said "no silly offers" and didn't want to waste your time.
  8. Shame they never revealed who Batman really was. I think it was the mayor.
  9. My BPU Tiptronic (now wylie coyote's) was recorded at 4.993 sec 0-60 by J-Tuner magazine when we did that track day at Bruntingthorpe a while back.
  10. He's on about "New Jersey" in New York state. He might not be aware that New Jersey is named after another place, called "Jersey" surprisingly.
  11. £36/month here. Expensive but very nice to have when you want to download a DVD or somesuch. I get a steady 2.4 megabytes per second when downloading from Easynews. Nice to have but hard to justify that much per month. 20MB is as fast as anyone needs, IMO
  12. What's the retail on one of those?
  13. There's a code on the VIN plate that will tell you. It's been discussed before a few times. Use the search button mate
  14. Alright Ash, Dunno if it's of any interest to you but I've still got the VVTi turbos I bought from Gav when my white Tip blew its engine. It turned out the existing turbos were OK so I never fitted Gav's ones. They were 30-odd K miles he said. I think I paid £295 for them at time (little demand for stockers back then, it was full-on Everyone's Going Single season at the time) If you want them mate, you can have 'em for whatever you're willing to pay - I'm never going to need them now.
  15. He was upset of the attention your Toyota was getting?
  16. What's that then? (not a big phone geek)
  17. Remove wiper arm. Pull off the plastic liner on the inside of the tailgate, the full thing right across the inside of the tailgate. Finally, unbolt the wiper motor and place carefully in bin.
  18. He's in France. I don't think they can import j-specs.
  19. 10 60 11 61 etc What did you think?
  20. Did they also watch the hundreds/thousands/millions of other planets?
  21. How can they know that then? IIRC, isn't the duck quack one untrue too?
