  1. The seller said that cos it's the Manx GP this week the ferry prices are double the normal price. Just my luck!
  2. Thanks Jim, Yeah, I think you're right. I called the ferry company but the girl said I need to speak to their Freight Dept and they had already closed for the day (9-5) Also I didnt want to do it that way because it meant paying the guy for the bike, which I've never seen in the flesh, and then trusting him to get it on the ferry for me. Shame though, that would've been a good way to do it.
  3. I'd love to do that but my mates aren't into bikes. Definitely let me know if you go again some time
  4. Thanks for that, sounds good, I'm really quite excited now. Yeah it's only the steel framed one. If I really like the WR I may get a newer one later. Cheers.
  5. Really? I thought they would be awful to ride any distance. Hmmm, that would make organizing things a lot easier. How do you rate the WR450 Jamie? I was going to get an XR400 but saw this WR on ebay for very little money and bought it on the spur of the moment. It had only just been listed on eBay so I went for the Buy It Now option before somebody else beat me to it.
  6. I've been looking at van rentals, Mike. To hire a transit sized van for one day from Portsmouth and back to Portsmouth is like £45 but to hire one from Liverpool to Portsmouth is over £200 Can you put motorbikes on trains? That had not even occurred to me.
  7. Well, it seems that I can fly there any day from my local airport (Southampton) for just £85 They guy said he can pick me up from the airport and even lead me to the IoM-to-Haysham (?) ferry. So I just need to somehow a way of getting the bike from Heysham to Portsmouth. Any suggestions?
  8. I've just bought a bike, it's a Yamaha WR450F Enduro bike ...but it's in the Isle Of Man and I'm in Portsmouth. I don't fancy riding an enduro bike from the Liverpool ferry to Portsmouth, so I suppose I'm going to have to hire a van or something to collect it. Anyone got any other bright ideas how I might go about getting this bike from the IoM to here?

    Why '60'

    Why 15? I can't figure how it might be 15 after 10 or 59
  10. Seems like a waste of time for the copper really. Could you have approached the chap to see whether he was actually up to no good? I don't think I'd have bothered reporting him the BiB for something he might or might not have been doing.

ten THOUSAND posts? Get a life, loser!
  12. The plural of bigot is bigots, not bigot's.
  13. Very useful post there, Darren. Thanks.
  14. Take the CDV out then. It's a simple mod.
  15. Wez, are your problems due to your drive not having TRIM support? I was under the impression that the issues you're describing go away if your setup uses TRIM, no?
  16. This what you want Tom? .... ...

    My New Project

Is that a known good mod then, the Cooper S blower onto a MX5? Or are you starting from a blank page?
  18. Doesn't the lack of TRIM support concern you though, Alex? Or have I misunderstood its importance?
  19. Excellent He's good - but LAC was such utter tripe. I thought the first few minutes were gripping but the film got more and more far-fetched as it dragged on. At the time I loved Lambert in Highlander but, yeah, nothing since. Remember "Greystoke"? My God! How do you rate his music? v2Hl4RTOOcc EyfTNdlKR7A I remember the first film I saw him in; Dead Zone. He was really good in that. I also liked him in The Deer Hunter and Pulp Fiction. In what film(s) do rate Sly's performance, Cliff? I can't think of anything. Apparently you can get him as a custom voice for your TomTom. That would be amusing, for a while. I think you should check out Leaving Las Vegas, Mike Figgis (of Stormy Monday fame) directs... and Elizabeth Shue stars along side Cage. It's a cracker. I guarantee you *will* cry at this... or you're a machine! I'm sure I've seen LLV but I can't even remember the end. Maybe I didn't watch it til the end. What happens in the ending? Going back a bit further, likewise for 12 Angry Men. Did you kill many Germans during the war, granddad?
  20. TRIM isn't supported on those though, is it? I believe that's A Bad Thing, innit?
  21. You want to sort out those four scruffy jubilee clips around the BOV, they're letting it down a bit.
  22. Sorry for the late reply, I haven't been near a PC today. I suppose VFM really. I think I'll be buying a new PC shortly anyway, when F1 2010 comes out. An SSD big enough for the OS, Photoshop and a couple of games would be fine I suppose, but obviously bigger would be better. I was thinking of, say, £200 or so for an SSD would be OK. Which I could then hopefully put into the new PC when I get it in the next couple of months. I presume these SSDs are only going to get cheaper and faster and generally better, so spending big money probably isn't the best idea, right? I was looking at This 64gb Crucial one or this 128gb but £120 for the 64 or £273 for double the size doesn't seem like it's worth the extra.
  23. Chaps, I fancy getting a solid state hard disk to upgrade my PC a bit. If it makes any odds, the PC is a couple of years old: Athlon 64 x2 Dual Core 4600+ 4GB Ram (not sure what speed off the top of my head) NVidia GeForce 8600GT 3 SATA HDDs (1tb, 500gb, 320gb) Win 7 Ultimate What would be the current 'best' SDD to upgrade performance a bit? I'm not really up to speed on PC hardware these days, and I believe the SDD market is still in rather an evolutionary phase currently. I would perfer to buy something from www.novatech.co.uk if poss, as they are local to me. Finally, anything else I should be aware of? Anything to specifically look for or to avoid? Thanks guys!
  24. My missus loves Nick Cage, I really fail to see the attraction. Good call on Kevin Spacey, he's a great actor. Usual Suspects being the obvious one but he's done many other fine movies. Seen "Glen Garry, Glen Ross"? Wonderful acting by several of the cast. One of my favorite films ever. Again, Denzil Washington is a good cal. not sure about Jonny Depp though, I just don't "get" him.
