  1. I've bid 20k on it. Can somone bid £19,900 to make mine show?
  2. It didn't. TJ didn't call me back like they promised so I still haven't got the car back yet.
  3. Really? Fat lot of use it was there! Yeah then, put your AFR probe there if it'll fit. No point having the EGT probe that far back.
  4. You want it further away from the turbo. About 30" inches away I think is the recommeded. Mines in the 2nd decat pipe, roughly under the handbrake. Makes routing the cable into the cabin easy that way too as there's a rubber grommit on the passenger side of the transmission tunnel.
  5. Yeah, I've started watching it too. I've downloaded the first 10 episodes but only watched two of them so far.
  6. Yeah, I had the same thing decatting a VVTi a while back. Snapped manifold studs = drilling, retapping Not the kind of thing you want to do on your driveway and not what you want to pay a garage £60/Hr to sort out. 2 hours later I gave the KwikFit guy £40 cash, he put it in his pocket and was over the moon! Win/Win! I gave him a ride home in the Supra because he'd missed his lift due to staying on and finishing my car. He was loving it! Can't do enough for me now.... £20 cash Mobil1 fully synth oil changes? Oh go on then!
  7. Oh I see. No offence mate but it would help if you said what type of Supra we're talking about when asking technical questions. Or put it in your Sig. I've never worked on a NA yet so don't feel qualified to answer.

    Thanks Scooter

You're lucky to have him local to you and willing to help. One of the nicest guys you'll ever meet and knows a thing or two about Supras too.
  9. Kwik-fit are much more likely to have experience of doing this type of work than Brian's 'local garage'. I go to kwik-fit for diffcult front decats and oil changes and find the 'spotty morons' there more than helpful and adequately skilled to do the job. Not sure which joint you are talking about though. The joint between first and second cat has two bolts but are easy to get at. Where the first cat bolts to the turbo downpipe is three bolts.
  10. I don't think that's right. If he in his "expert opinion" estimated that the vehicle's speed was well in excess of the speed limit it may enough to secure a conviction. I think matlee said there was more than one cop in the car as well. The other cop's opinion would add credibility to to the other cop's evidence. I'm not 100% sure on the above but I think it's right.
  11. Young guy, giving it the big one away from the lights, roaring exhaust - probably. If I was a copper I'd have pulled you over too, if I had nowt else to do. Let's face it, cops pull people like you because in their experience it has proved to be a fruitful way of catching people with no tax/insurance/MoT/bald tyres/etc etc I'm sure they weren't picking on you personally, just pulling over a type of person they have found to be likely law-breakers. It's nothing personal.

    Win MX

    oldversion.com ?
  13. What is APP? Alex, have I got one on my spare manifold?
  14. Jamie There's one on eBay for £799
  15. Looks like a Lexus one. Are the three metal pins 10mm apart? If so I have a spare one you can have.
  16. Do you need a diag tool to read these codes or can you read it from the flashing dash lights, like we do on the older model Supras?
  17. Yeah I did. I think it's broke again. Thought I might as well do it properly this time.
  18. I like it. Looks great with no rear spoiler. Doesn't suit all Supras but on yours it's nice. Ridox bumper/skirts/spats can be seen in my Garage (click the link in my Sig)
  19. You're kidding! I'm gonna give you a big kiss if you've solved the VVTi error code reading problem!
  20. I have a few questions about engine rebuilds: In readyness for my next engine blow-up I'm thinking about rebuilding my spare engine, the one that overheated on the motorway and sounds like a bag of spanners now. I've taken the head off and it all looks ok, bores are like new, piston crowns and combustion chambers are unmarked. When I take the sumps off I'm expecting to find a bit of a mess. Other than visibly, I have no means to check the crank (or knowledge how to). If it looks ok (Not scored) where the rod and main bearings go would I probably be alright to just bung some new bearings in? Or must I take it to an engineering place to have it checked for roundness (not sure of the right word there)? If I take it to an engineer's I presume they'll need the block, rods, caps and crank - is that right? After machining will they be able to tell me what size bearings I'll need? Or is that something I'd have to measure somehow for myself? Thanks for any help.
  21. As said already, all Supras have 114.3pcd wheels. If you've measured your car and the PCD seems different to 114.3 then you have measured it incorrectly. I think Merckx suggestion about the hub locating hole is the most likely explanation why you can't get them on your car.
  22. It is funny but it's another of those ads that tells you sod all about the car. I hate that. This is one of the worst because it only shows you the car from one angle iirc. Those Citroen 'transformers' adverts are clever but again tell you nowt about the motor. Not that I would buy a Citroen anyway...
  23. I've seen worse. What about this one? http://img150.imageshack.us/img150/6083/tempdl4.jpg Apologies to all you caravan foglight lovers and picnic bench owners
  24. huh? There aren't any skirts on the car in that pic! Are you selling the black plastic under-sill bits?
