The OS Giken twin plate clutch on my car started slipping at TOTB so I guess I need a new one. Can I just change the clutch disk for another OSG one or will I likely need a new pressure plate and/or flywheel? (I believe it has an OSG flywheel too)
If I can't just replace the clutch disc with another OSG one I think I'll change it back to the stock Toyota flywheel and an uprated clutch, because I don't enjoy the rattling the lightened flywheel causes. Terry Saunders mentioned the RPS Street Max was pretty good for my power level but I can't see the Street Max on www.mvpmotorsports.com
Ernie (ChiefGroover) recommended another uprated clutch for use with the stock flywheel but I can't remember which one.
Assuming I go for the RPS Street Max or similar, what other parts will I need to get for job? Obviously a flywheel and 8 bolts, what else? The MVP
web site mentions 'Throw out bearings' and 'Snap rings' but I don't really know what these are.
Thanks for any help.
ps
What is the plural of clutch? Is it clutches or clutchs?
