  1. Sorry, I'm new round here. What is a Brake cylinder stopper?
  2. Can you let us know how that goes with the dealer? I hope they don't try to squirm out of it but I suspect they will. Good luck mate.

    Ebay scums problems

I don't know, it's never happened to me so far. I don't think they are quite so keen to do it to 'CC only' funded accounts because they know the CC company won't stand for any nonsense. They really do not want to lose the CC company's business. Frankly, if they put my PayPal account into the red they can still sod off, I don't care. If they want to take it further I'll counter sue them in the small claims court and they'll have to send their legal guys to the court down here - which they would never bother doing. I reckon they depend on folks just giving up and not fighting them.

No it just takes the necessary money from my CC when I buy something using PayPal. If they ever tried withdrawing money from my CC without my permission I would just dispute it with my CC company and they'd get nothing. Seems the best way to deal with them after you've got verified.

  6. What a great pic. The fronts are nearly airborne! Aido, the rear tyres deforming like that is quite normal on big power drag cars. They run them at very low pressure.
  7. Eh? Where did you get that info from?
  8. Yes. Always reset the ecu after changing anything that may affect the fuelling and/or timing.

That's what I do. As soon as my account was verified I cancelled their direct debit to my account so they can't take any money when they feel like it. My PayPal account is solely funded by my credit card now, much better protection.

  11. I dunno mate, maybe, probably. She prefers her driving to mine and I can't be doing with fighting about it. Anyway, we're getting away from the point of this thread, which was "How much should I let my car go for if I decide to sell it?"
  12. It owes me a quite lot more than that! I think Wayne's black 6sp single went for about 15k, didn't it? and that was quite a lot older than mine. It was a great looking car but I think mine is probably a better spec (motec, edfc, PHR kit, etc). iDunno really, just thinking out loud. One of them isn't worth fuck all (93, auto, high-ish miles, dodgy respray) and the other is possibly already sold to a certain ovine-oriented trader of this very site. You've been away a while haven't you mate! Yeah I have 3 Supras. The Grey/brown/bronze/MSB one you saw the back of a lot in Holland , a white 1998 VVTi Tiptronic and a RSP/blue single turbo one. I made the mistake of telling her it's twice the power of my other BPU Supe. She's also been told about it by my mate and her Dad (my mrs Dad not my mate's) after "spirited" test drives in it. Yeah but only if she had to. She doesn't like my driving, I don't like her's. I drive too fast for her, she drives too slow for me. It's the only thing we ever argue about. She's great in every other way but nervous of my driving since we nearly went sideways into a lamp-post when I totally lost the rear end coming off a roundabout in the wet ages ago.
  13. 30 eh? You old fart. Have a great day Darryl mate
  14. Dunno that it's the ultimate Supra but it's my ultimate one. I love the colour, the mods and the single turbo power. I don't love the £1000+ insurance, the fact I'm scared to park it anywhere or that my mrs won't get in the damn thing. Yeah but if I sell it that's £x more I can put towards a car that I will drive everyday. I still have two other Supras so it's not like I'm leaving the fold altogether. It's been nagging at me for a while now (the thought of selling, not my Mrs) but like you say, I'll probably regret it once she's gone. Dunno Maybe mate, what is it? No offense intended to anyone but I'm not really interested in NAs, UKs or Aerotops. This wasn't supposed to be a For Sale thread just a "What's she worth?" kinda thing
  15. Reluctantly, I'm thinking of selling my W-reg (year 2000) VVTi, 6sp manual, single turbo, Supra. My Mrs won't get in it if I'm driving () and she can't drive it herself because of the uprated clutch. Which means we go everywhere in her car. So, I need another, more sensible car for day to day use. I'm not sure how much to sell it for. So your opinions would be appreciated. Full spec can be seen here. It's done 55,000 miles by the way, I don't think it mentions the mileage in my vBgarage I'm not in a rush to sell. In fact I'm not sure I can bring myself to part with it but I think it would be for the best. At the moment the car hardly gets used and it seems a waste. Anyway, what do you reckon I should price it at?
  16. Mate, you'll be well alarmed after a ride in Matt's car!
  17. Thing is, iirc the lambda sensor is mounted in 'the downpipe' but what Toyota call the downpipe is the cast iron part between the exit of the turbo system and the first cat (or first decat pipe) ... ... whereas a lot of us say 'downpipe' when talking about the first decat pipe. I think this causes a lot of confusion sometimes.
  18. You won't need to mess about with a bung/flange 'cos decatting doesn't affect the Lambda sensor. It's located upstream of the first cat.
  19. Ah right, Leave it stock then. Unless you have reason to suspect your existing one is faulty. Don't even think of running the car without the stock one.
  20. Are you talking about narrowband or wideband? A wideband is never a bad idea on any modded car but not strictly necessary on a BPU Supra. Getting the fueling checked on a dyno is recommended though
  21. That's the least unplugged 'unplugged' evar!!1
  22. Ah! Thank dog for that. I was getting very confused there for a while. That's bound to go wrong one day.
  23. FFS! Why's everyone so sensitive tonight? All the folks that usually mess about are all getting the hump.
  24. Huh? Have I offended you somehow? Huh? Again. I've always wondered; are you two on seperate PCs?
