  1. Doesn't that indicate a bad earth on the FCD? Is the earth wire connected to the ECU ground wire or an actual grounding point? Earthing to the ECU cover bolt usually works well.
  2. Is the dial inside set to the correct position for a Supra?
  3. So is Blitz Supra saying that this JDM Look is what the cars (for domestic Jap use) look like when they come out of the factory? Or what they look like after they have been customised by their owners?
  4. An Advanced Search for Thread Titles with the key words Cam Belt Change will give you all the info you need mate. Sorry, I don't understand the question you're asking. You need 114.3PCD alloys with an ET50 offset. Lighter weight the better. Nearer to 17" diameter ones will give better handling then 20" ones. No idea.

You should have waited until January when this fable would have been celebrating its tenth birthday! http://www.snopes.com/humor/jokes/jerks.htm

Did you speak to Gamer? That's what he does for a living
  7. Too much work Ernie. The facelift's wiring plugs are different. The one piece clear plastic cover is different. I'm not even sure that the locating points for the top section (the long top part that the prefacelift Odo is in) are in the same places because all the facelift dash panels are different to the older ones. What car have you got then mate?
  8. No. See this thread : "Son of Supra will be a hybrid"

    running costs

Bit more than that innit Pete? 70 Ltr tank remember and SUL is like 95p/Ltr round here. It might be in the future, who knows? They'll be a lot of people in the same boat though. At the mo it's about £170 to tax a Supra.
  10. Isn't that just you trying to turn it round though? Nobody is saying his car is rubbish. He asked what folks think of shopping lists and a lot of people think they are juvenile or 'chav'. Would anyone say my car was suddenly rubbish if I added a shopping list? No. Would Gamer's? No. Would they look better with a shopping list. Hell no. I think this is maybe where we disagree. People don't want 'the JDM look' or even care what the JDM look is. In the UK shopping lists, especially promoting gear you don't have, are considered chav. Massive rear spoilers, especially on low powered cars, are chav. But to you they're OK because they're this "JDM look". Seems like what you call the JDM look = Jap Chav.
  11. Coil pack and leads? On a VVTi? Anyway, hope you get there in the end mate.
  12. I couldn't care less about the The Jap Scene, whatever that is, or The JDM Look. I have no interest in some of the horrible mods the japanese inflict on their cars. Are "Dear Santa" lists of parts you don't actually have and stupidly huge rear spoilers the 'JDM look'? If so you can keep 'em.
  13. In English slang "Done a runner" = disappeared quickly, as in fleeing.
  14. I've seen 172mph (GPS) in my J-spec BPU Supra. Speed was was still climbing slowly but not enough clear road to keep going.
  15. Only on UK/USA spec Supras
  16. No, it's very fake. Apparently Ronaldinho did claim it was genuine at first though.
  17. You sure seem to spend a lot of time telling everyone about how you don't care what they think. I think it's a reasonable question. The guy wants to know how his car appears to other people. You wouldn't want to drive round in something everyone was laughing at, would you. ...Well you would apparently, 'cos you just don't care, right?
  18. At least he replaced the wings and all the other front end stuff with facelift parts after the crash.
  19. Nice shopping list items! Avon tyres AND Yokohama Max Power Benneton F1

    Isn't that illegal these days?

Is it 'cos so many manual Supra owners are full of it and kidding themselves that pressing a clutch pedal makes them a better driver than the equivilent auto Supra owner? Pressing the clutch pedal and shifting at the right times is hardly difficult, is it? I know that some manual drivers like to put auto drivers down but it's just showing their ignorance really. I own all three models of TT Supra (Manual, Auto, Tiptronic) but would be quite happy with just an Auto.
  23. Nice! Looks great. A set of 356mm KADs would've been a lot less work though. How do they compare price-wise? .... well, as far as you know. Did Brembo make the fitting kit for you?

    vvti engine on ebay

I'll email the seller and say that I'll pay by Banker's Draft and that I'll send it for 1500GBP (FIFTEEN HUNDERED POUNDS) more than the selling price and that he should send the balance to my shipping agent once the Bankers Draft has cleared, etc etc.
